Transportation infrastructure is the core part of the social transportation system and an important support for national economy, people's livelihood and national security. In the past 40 years of Reform and Opening Up, China's transportation infrastructure construction has developed rapidly and made remarkable achievements. However, the long-life safety problems of transportation infrastructure, such as bridges, tunnels, subgrade, subway and transportation hub, are increasingly prominent, with many potential safety hazards, short service life and serious damage caused by disasters. Therefore, it is necessary to carry out research on health monitoring, safety control, long-life safety assurance of transportation infrastructure, comprehensively improve the long-life safety assurance and emergency response capacity for disaster reduction and prevention, ensure the long-life safety service of transportation infrastructure and the safety and smooth traffic arteries, and ensure the sustainable development of national economy, the safety and social security.
