Research on flocculation conditions and coking wastewatertreatment of Microbial Flocculants

Wei Xiaojin,Li Jing,He Xuwen

Strategic Study of CAE 2009, Volume 11, Issue 2,   Pages 88-91

Abstract:

One strain of Bacillus SP. from the activated sludge is able to produce a stable and efficient bio- flocculation. The flocculation properties and application of this microbial flocculants in wastewater treatment are studied. The results show that the optimum flocculation can be reached in conditions as follows: above pH 7.0, the dosage of coagulation aid CaCl2 is 5.0 % , the flocculants dosage is 0.2 % , and the centrifugal condition of flocculants broth is 4 000 r/min min and last for 30 min. In the optimum flocculation condition the strain boasts obvious coagulation efficiency in wastewater treatment with produced bio- flocculation.

A review on co-pyrolysis of coal and oil shale to produce coke

Xiangchun Liu, Ping Cui, Qiang Ling, Zhigang Zhao, Ruilun Xie

Frontiers of Chemical Science and Engineering 2020, Volume 14, Issue 4,   Pages 504-512 doi: 10.1007/s11705-019-1850-z

Abstract: It has become the top priority for coking industry to rationally use and enlarge coking coal resourcesThis review focuses on the potential utilization of oil shale (OS) as a feedstock for coal-blending cokingIf such OS is directly used for coal-blending coking, the coke product will not meet market demand. Finally, co-pyrolysis of different ranks of coals with OS in terms of coal-blending coking, where further

Recent anode advances in solid oxide fuel cells with carbon-based fuels

Sun Chunwen,Sun Jie,Yang Wei,Ma Zhaohui,Li Shuai,Xian Cunni,Wang Shaofei,Xiao Ruijuan,Shi Siqi,Li Hong,Chen Liquan

Strategic Study of CAE 2013, Volume 15, Issue 2,   Pages 77-87

Abstract:

Solid oxide fuel cells (SOFCs) are electrochemical reactors that can directly convert the chemical energy of a fuel gas into electrical energy with high efficiency and in an environment-friendly way. The recent trends in the research of solid oxide fuel cells concern the use of available hydrocarbon fuels, such as nature gas. The most commonly used anode material Ni/YSZ cermet exhibits some disadvantages when hydrocarbons were used as fuels. Thus it is necessary to develop alternative anode materials which show a mixed conductivity under fuel conditions. This article reviews the recent developments of anode materials for SOFCs with carbon-based fuels. The future trend in this field is briefly summarized as well.
