Error measurement and assemble error correction of a 3D-step-gauge

MAO Xinyong, LI Bin, SHI Hanmin, LIU Hongqi, LI Xi, LI Peigen

Frontiers of Mechanical Engineering 2007, Volume 2, Issue 4,   Pages 388-393 doi: 10.1007/s11465-007-0067-x

Abstract: A new artifact called 3D-step-gauge consisting of a pyramid array and a compound, is proposed to calculate geometrical errors for machine tools. Only one point on each profile of the pyramid in the array is probed, and its center coordinate can be calculated. Then, the intervals of the pyramids can be transfered a length standard to measure errors. Considering the differences in the structural parameters and the location of the pyramids, a volumetric error measurement method of discrete points is presented. Furthermore, the location errors between the calibration state and the measurement state are studied and their influences on the accuracy of the position measurement are investigated on an actual machine tool. The 3D-step-gauge was tested on an actual machine tool and the measurement result shows quick assembly, convenient measurement, and high accuracy.

Simulation on Hitting Probability of MMW Remote ControllingTrajectory Correction Munition Intercepting

Hu Ronglin,Li Xingguo

Strategic Study of CAE 2007, Volume 9, Issue 10,   Pages 65-70

Abstract:

The basic principle of millimeter wave remote controlling munitions (MMW-RCTCM) is demonstrated in the introduction.  Then the concept of correctable intercepting flow is proposed.  And the anti-air shooting model of millimeter wave remote controlling munitions (MMW-RCTCM) intercepting mobile anti-ship missile (MACM) is established in section 2 and 3.  Subsequently,  the hitting probability of single MMW-RCTCM vs.  single MACM as well as MMW-RCTCM flow vs.  single MACM and MMW-RCTCM flow vs.  MACM flow are analyzedin detail.  The probabilities of the above are simulated based on the parameters of the two sides of attacking and intercepting in the 5th section.  It is illustrated that comparing with the non-controlling munitions,  the efficiency of MMW-RCTCM is increased remarkably.  At the last,  it is concluded that the MMW-RCTCM can resist the attacking of saturate flow; ultra-sonic MACM.

Rotation errors in numerical manifold method and a correction based on large deformation theory

Ning ZHANG, Xu LI, Qinghui JIANG, Xingchao LIN

Frontiers of Structural and Civil Engineering 2019, Volume 13, Issue 5,   Pages 1036-1053 doi: 10.1007/s11709-019-0535-5

Abstract: Numerical manifold method (NMM) is an effective method for simulating block system, however, significant errors are found in its simulation of rotation problems. Three kinds of errors, as volume expansion, stress vibration, and attenuation of angular velocity, were observed in the original NMM. The first two kind errors are owing to the small deformation assumption and the last one is due to the numerical damping. A large deformation NMM is proposed based on large deformation theory. In this method, the governing equation is derived using Green strain, the large deformation iteration and the open-close iteration are combined, and an updating strategy is proposed. The proposed method is used to analyze block rotation, beam bending, and rock falling problems and the results prove that all three kinds of errors are eliminated in this method.

Long-term correction of hemorrhagic diathesis in hemophilia A mice by an AAV-delivered hybrid FVIII composed

Frontiers of Medicine 2022, Volume 16, Issue 4,   Pages 584-595 doi: 10.1007/s11684-021-0844-7

Abstract: Conventional therapies for hemophilia A (HA) are prophylactic or on-demand intravenous FVIII infusions. However, they are expensive and inconvenient to perform. Thus, better strategies for HA treatment must be developed. In this study, a recombinant FVIII cDNA encoding a human/rat hybrid FVIII with an enhanced procoagulant potential for adeno-associated virus (AAV)-delivered gene therapy was developed. Plasmids containing human FVIII heavy chain (hHC), human light chain (hLC), and rat light chain (rLC) were transfected into cells and hydrodynamically injected into HA mice. Purified AAV viruses were intravenously injected into HA mice at two doses. Results showed that the hHC+ rLC protein had a higher activity than the hHC+ hLC protein at comparable expression levels. The specific activity of hHC+ rLC was about 4- to 8-fold higher than that of their counterparts. Hydrodynamic injection experiments obtained consistent results. Notably, the HA mice undergoing the AAV-delivered hHC+ rLC treatment exhibited a visibly higher activity than those treated with hHC+ hLC, and the therapeutic effects lasted for up to 40 weeks. In conclusion, the application of the hybrid FVIII (hHC+ rLC) via an AAV-delivered gene therapy substantially improved the hemorrhagic diathesis of the HA mice. These data might be of help to the development of optimized FVIII expression cassette for HA gene therapy.
