Strategic Study of CAE 2005, Volume 7, Issue 12,   Pages 1-6

Abstract:

Based on developing process of aero-optics, the background of the subject is introduced. The definition, intension, research object, research methods of the subject are proposed. The research contents are described, which include mechanism, calibration methods, calibration tests for aero-optic effects and optic window of the hypersonic aircraft. The theoretical research, engineering modeling, testing principle and testing methods in China are described in detail. Some representative results are given. At last, the application prospects and research tendency of the subject are suggested.

An Engineering Method to Calculate Transmitting Effect of Aero-optics for Hypersonic Interceptor

Yin Xingliang

Strategic Study of CAE 2006, Volume 8, Issue 11,   Pages 74-79

Abstract:

Transmitting effects of aero-optics is very important to optical imaging probing system of interceptor, as it may cause displacement, jitter and blurring of image to receive for the system. The optic transmitting characteristics is analyzed when target ray goes though turbulence flow. The engineering model for optical transmitting characteristics of flow is built up and empirical model for optical imaging system induced by aero-optic transmitting effects is described. The displacement, jitter and blurring are simulated. The numerical simulation results suggest that transmitting effect of aero-optics has powerful influence on the imaging probing system, which is related to flight parameters, imaging system parameters and integration periods of imaging probing system, etc.

Frontiers in Energy 2008, Volume 2, Issue 4,   Pages 524-527 doi: 10.1007/s11708-008-0099-x

Abstract: The pressure pulse filter and Smagorinsky sub-grid stress model of the Large Eddy Simulation (LES) are introduced. The fluid field in the annular plenum between the pressure vessel and the core barrel of the1:5 model in the second phase of Qinshan Nuclear Power Plant is simulated, and the distribution of the total pressure in the space and time domains is obtained. The results show that the Power Spectrum Density (PSD) of LES from the calculation and the test are in the same quantity order. Thus, the pressure of LES can be a load to stimulate the barrel vibration.

Porosity model for flows in CMP

ZHANG Chao-hui, YE Wei, LUO Jian-bin, WEN Shi-zhu

Frontiers of Mechanical Engineering 2006, Volume 1, Issue 4,   Pages 418-423 doi: 10.1007/s11465-006-0050-y

Abstract: In an effort to explore the contribution of the pad, which is usually full of pores, to the performance of CMP (chemical mechanical polishing), a three-dimensional flow model of CMP is presented by assuming that the fluids in the porous layer comply with Darcy s law, which states that the flow velocity is proportional to the pressure gradient and inverse proportional to the viscosity. The flow equation is deduced accordingly and, by taking advantage of the multilevel technique and line relaxation technique, numerical simulations are carried out to reveal the relationships between the load capacities and operational parameters (including pivot height, roll angle and pitch angle), under conditions with different porous parameters and different thicknesses of the porous layer. The little porous parameter will lead to a prominent increase of load capability (for instance, the load and the moment predicted), which is still augmented by the thicker layer parameter. This will result in a higher material removal ratio of CMP. A pad full of large pores will be used to deduce load capability, facilitating the free flow of the fluids through the pores. The research will add some insights on the mechanism of the CMP technique.
