Preparation and selection of Fe-Cu sorbent for COS removal in syngas

摘要： A series of iron-based sorbents prepared with iron trioxide hydrate, cupric oxide by a novel method was studied in a fixed-bed reactor for COS removal from syngas at moderate temperature. In addition, the sorbents mixed with various additives in different ratios were tested. The effects of additive type and ratio on the breakthrough capacity and desulfurization performance, as well as the influence of operating conditions on sulfidation behavior of the sorbent, were investigated. The simulate gas contained 1% COS, 5% CO , 20%–30% CO and 60%–70% H . The outlet gases from the fixed-bed reactor were automatically analyzed by on-line mass spectrometry, and the COS concentration before breakthrough can be kept steady at 1 ppmv. The result shows that the breakthrough sulfur capacity of the sorbent is as high as 25 g-S/100 g. At 700 K and space velocity of 1000 h , the efficiency of sulfur removal and breakthrough sulfur capacity of the sorbent increase with the increase of copper oxide with an optimum value. The result shows that the species and content of additives also affect desulfurization performance of the sorbent.

Interface engineering for enhancing electrocatalytic oxygen evolution reaction of CoS/CeO heterostructures

摘要： To realize renewable energy conversion, it is important to develop low-cost and high-efficiency electrocatalyst for oxygen evolution reaction. In this communication, a novel bijunction CoS/CeO2 electrocatalyst grown on carbon cloth is prepared by the interface engineering. The interface engineering of CoS and CeO2 facilitates a rapid charge transfer from CeO2 to CoS. Such an electrocatalyst exhibits outstanding electrocatalytic activity with a low overpotential of 311 mV at 10 mA∙cm−2 and low Tafel slope of 76.2 mV∙dec–1, and is superior to that of CoS (372 mV) and CeO2 (530 mV) counterparts. And it has long-term durability under alkaline media.

Carbon-doped surface unsaturated sulfur enriched CoS@rGO aerogel pseudocapacitive anode and biomass-derived

摘要： As a hybrid energy storage device of lithium-ion batteries and supercapacitors, lithium-ion capacitors have the potential to meet the demanding needs of energy storage equipment with both high power and energy density. In this work, to solve the obstacle to the application of lithium-ion capacitors, that is, the balancing problem of the electrodes kinetic and capacity, two electrodes are designed and adequately matched. For the anode, we introduced in situ carbon-doped and surface-enriched unsaturated sulfur into the graphene conductive network to prepare transition metal sulfides, which enhances the performance with a faster lithium-ion diffusion and dominant pseudocapacitive energy storage. Therefore, the lithium-ion capacitors anode material delivers a remarkable capacity of 810 mAh∙g–1 after 500 cycles at 1 A∙g–1. On the other hand, the biomass-derived porous carbon as the cathode also displays a superior capacity of 114.2 mAh∙g–1 at 0.1 A∙g–1. Benefitting from the appropriate balance of kinetic and capacity between two electrodes, the lithium-ion capacitors exhibits superior electrochemical performance. The assembled lithium-ion capacitors demonstrate a high energy density of 132.9 Wh∙kg–1 at the power density of 265 W∙kg–1, and 50.0 Wh∙kg–1 even at 26.5 kW∙kg–1. After 10000 cycles at 1 A∙g–1, lithium-ion capacitors still demonstrate the high energy density retention of 81.5%.

Evolution of humic substances in polymerization of polyphenol and amino acid based on non-destructive characterization

摘要： Abstract • Humification evolution was identified with non-destructive characterization method. • Humification process from precursors to fulvic and humic acid was confirmed. • MnO2 alone had limited oxidation ability to form HA. • MnO2 played a key role as a catalyst to transform FA to HA in the presence of O2. • MnO2 could affect the structure of the humification products. Abiotic humification is important in the formation and evolution of organic matter in soil and compost maturing processes. However, the roles of metal oxides in abiotic humification reactions under micro-aerobic remain ambiguous. The aim of this study was to use non-destructive measurement methods to investigate the role of MnO2 in the evolution of humic substances (HSs) during oxidative polymerization of polyphenol-amino acid. Our results suggested a synergistic effect between MnO2 and O2 in promoting the polymerization reaction and identified that MnO2 alone had a limited ability in accelerating the transformation of fulvic acid (FA) to humic acid (HA), whereas O2 was the key factor in the process. Two-dimensional correlation spectroscopy (2D-COS) showed that the evolution in the UV-vis spectra followed the order of 475–525 nm>300–400 nm>240–280 nm in the humification process, indicating the formation of simple organic matter followed by FA and then HA. 13C nuclear magnetic resonance (13C NMR) analysis revealed that the products under both air and N2 conditions in the presence of MnO2 had greater amounts of aromatic-C than in the absence of MnO2, demonstrating that MnO2 affected the structure of the humification products. The results of this study provided new insights into the theory of abiotic humification.

Research progress in removal of trace carbon dioxide from closed spaces

摘要： In this paper, the removal of trace carbon dioxide from closed spaces through membrane process and biotransformation are introduced in detail. These methods include the microalgae photobioreactor, membrane microalgae photobioreactor, supported liquid membrane, membrane gas-liquid contactor, hydrogel membrane, and enzyme membrane bioreactor. The advantages and disadvantages of these methods are compared. It is found that higher CO removal efficiency can be obtained in biotransformation and membrane process. However, a large volume and high energy consumption are needed in biotransformation, while the low permeability and stability must be solved in the membrane process.

Removal of SO

摘要： In this work, the removal of SO from gas mixture with air and SO by ammonium bicarbonate aqueous solution as absorbent was investigated experimentally in a bubble column reactor. The effects of the concentration of ammonium bicarbonate, the SO inlet concentration of gas phase and the gas flow rate on the removal rate of SO were studied. The results showed that the higher the SO inlet concentration and the gas flow rate, the shorter the lasting time of SO completely removed in gas outlet, and then the faster the decrease in the removal rate of SO . The lasting time of SO completely removed in gas outlet increased with increasing ammonium bicarbonate concentration. During the process of SO absorption, there was a critical pH of solution. When the solution pH was less than the critical pH, it would sharply fall, resulting in a rapid decrease of the SO removal rate. A theoretical model for predicting the SO removal rate has been developed by taking the chemical enhancement and the sulfite concentration in the liquid phase into account simultaneously.

Analysis of Flue Gas Pollutants Deep-removal Technology in Coal-fired Power Plants

摘要： In recent years, frequent haze has made PM become a public hotspot. PM control has been added to the 2012 release “ambient air quality standard.” Currently flue gas pollutant control technology does not easily remove PM . Developing Flue Gas Pollutant Deep-removal Technology (DRT) for coal-fired power plants for deep-removing pollutants such as PM , SO , SO , and heavy metals, is an urgent problem. Based on the analysis of the necessity and existing problems of developing DRT suitable for China, this study focused on PM removal technology, low NO emission of ultra supercritical boiler under all load conditions, and the adaptability of SCR working temperature. Finally, the flue gas pollutant removal system at a 2×660MW supercritical power plant was introduced, and the roadmap for developing DRT for 1,000MW ultra supercritical units was analyzed.

摘要： This paper takes an overview of the Hongshiyan landslide dam triggered by an earthquake near Ludian County in Zhaotong City, Yunnan Province, introduces how the danger removal plan is drafted and implemented, and analyzes the outcome of its implementation. The paper then explains the significance and effect of coordinated management in the event of natural disasters and other public safety emergencies, and discusses ways to improve coordinated management.

Enhanced nutrients removal from municipal wastewater through biological phosphorus removal followed by

摘要： EBPR and PN/A were combined to enhance nutrients removal from municipal wastewater. High effluent quality of 0.25 mg TP?L and 10.8 mg TN?L was obtained. Phosphorus and nitrogen removal was achieved in two separated units. A proper post-anoxic phase improved the nitrogen removal performance of PN/A unit. Conventional biological removal of nitrogen and phosphorus is usually limited due to the lack of biodegradable carbon source, therefore, new methods are needed. In this study, a new alternative consisting of enhanced biological phosphorus removal (EBPR) followed by partial nitritation-anammox (PN/A), is proposed to enhance nutrients removal from municipal wastewater. Research was carried out in a laboratory-scale system of combined two sequencing batch reactors (SBRs). In SBR1, phosphorus removal was achieved under an alternating anaerobic-aerobic condition and ammonium concentration stayed the same since nitrifiers were washed out from the reactor under short sludge retention time of 2–3 d. The remaining ammonium was further treated in SBR2 where PN/A was established by inoculation. A maximum of nitrogen removal rate of 0.12 kg N?m ?d was finally achieved. During the stable period, effluent concentrations of total phosphorus and total nitrogen were 0.25 and 10.8 mg?L , respectively. This study suggests EBPR-PN/A process is feasible to enhance nutrients removal from municipal wastewater of low influent carbon source.

Phosphorous removal from wastewater by lanthanum modified Y zeolites

摘要： The adsorption capacities of Y zeolite and La (III)-modified Y zeolite were studied. A series of La(III)-modified Y zeolites with different La/Y zeolite mass ratios were characterized by X-ray diffraction, X-ray fluorescence and Brunauer-Emmett-Teller surface area analysis. Batch experiments were conducted to evaluate the effects of various experimental parameters, such as pH, ionic strength, coexisting anions ( , Cl , and ) and temperature, on the phosphate adsorption. The capacity of the La (III)-modified Y zeolite to remove phosphate increased as the La/Y zeolite mass ratio increased and after 4 h, a phosphate removal efficiency of 95% was achieved for a La/Y zeolite mass ratio of 0.10. The equilibrium adsorption isotherm data correlated better to the Langmuir model than the Freundlich model and the data followed a pseudo-second-order kinetic equation.

Immobilization of laccase on organic–inorganic nanocomposites and its application in the removal of phenolic

摘要： Polydopamine-functionalized nanosilica was synthesized using an inexpensive and easily obtainable raw material, mild reaction conditions, and simple operation. Subsequently, a flexible spacer arm was introduced by using dialdehyde starch as a cross-linking agent to bind with laccase. A high loading amount (77.8 mg∙g‒1) and activity retention (75.5%) could be achieved under the optimum immobilization conditions. Thermodynamic parameters showed that the immobilized laccase had a lower thermal deactivation rate constant and longer half-life. The enhancement of thermodynamic parameters indicated that the immobilized laccase had better thermal stability than free laccase. The residual activity of immobilized laccase remained at about 50.0% after 30 days, which was 4.0 times that of free laccase. Immobilized laccase demonstrated excellent removal of phenolic pollutants (2,4-dichlorophenol, bisphenol A, phenol, and 4-chlorophenol) and perfect reusability with 70% removal efficiency retention for 2,4-dichlorophenol after seven cycles. These results suggested that immobilized laccase possessed great reusability, improved thermal stability, and excellent storage stability. Organic–inorganic nanomaterials have a good application prospect for laccase immobilization, and the immobilized laccase of this work may provide a practical application for the removal of phenolic pollutants.
