Creep of brazed plate-fin structures in high temperature compact heat exchangers

摘要: In recent years, the need for high temperature heat exchangers to improve the efficiency of power and chemical conversion systems has been growing. However, the creep design of the high temperature compact heat exchangers has been a primary concern because the working temperature can be well above the creep limit of the materials. To establish the high temperature design criterion for compact heat exchangers, creep behavior of the plate-fin structures and brazed joints are investigated in this paper. The time-dependent deformation and bending stress of the plate-fin structures are obtained analytically by simplifying the fins to elastic springs. The creep damage evolution inside the brazed joint is studied by coupling the finite element method with a damage constitutive equation. The significant effect of creep property mismatch in the brazed joint on the creep strength is demonstrated.

Sensitivity analysis and numerical experiments on transient test of compact heat exchanger surfaces

摘要: A single-blow transient testing technique considering the effect of longitudinal heat conduction is suggested for determining the average convection heat transfer coefficient of compact heat exchanger surface. By matching the measured outlet fluid temperature variation with similar theoretical curves, the dimensionless longitudinal conduction parameter , the time constant of the inlet fluid temperature , and the number of heat transfer units can be determined simultaneously using the Levenberg-Marquardt nonlinear parameter estimation method. Both sensitivity analysis and numerical experiments with simulated measurements containing random errors show that the method in the present investigation provides satisfactory accuracy of the estimated parameter , which characterizes the heat transfer performance of compact heat exchanger surfaces.

Discussion on back-to-back two-stage centrifugal compressor compact design techniques

Design a small flow back-to-back two-stage centrifugal compressor in the aviation turbocharger, the compressor is compact structure, small axial length, light weighted. Stationary parts have a great influence on their overall performance decline. Therefore, the stationary part of the back-to-back two-stage centrifugal compressor should pay full attention to the diffuser, bend, return vane and volute design. Volute also impact downstream return vane, making the flow in circumferential direction is not uniformed, and several blade angle of attack is drastically changed in downstream of the volute with the airflow can not be rotated to required angle. Loading of high-pressure rotor blades change due to non-uniformed of flow in circumferential direction, which makes individual blade load distribution changed, and affected blade passage load decreased to reduce the capability of work, the tip low speed range increases.

A road-map for energy-neutral wastewater treatment plants of the future based on compact technologies

摘要: In the paper concepts for wastewater treatment of the future are discussed by the use of a) one flow diagram based on established, compact, proven technologies (i.e. nitrification/denitrification for N-removal in the mainstream) and b) one flow diagram based on emerging, compact technologies (i.e. de-ammonification in the main stream).The latter (b) will give an energy-neutral wastewater treatment plant, while this cannot be guaranteed for the first one (a). The example flow diagrams show plant concepts that a) minimize energy consumption by using compact biological and physical/chemical processes combined in an optimal way, for instance by using moving bed biofilm reactor (MBBR) processes for biodegradation and high-rate particle separation processes, and de-ammonification processes for N-removal and b)maximize energy (biogas) production through digestion by using wastewater treatment processes that minimize biodegradation of the sludge (prior to digestion) and pretreatment of the sludge prior to digestion by thermal hydrolysis. The treatment plant of the future should produce a water quality (for instance bathing water quality) that is sufficient for reuse of some kind (toilet flushing, urban use, irrigation etc.). The paper outlines compact water reclamation processes based on ozonation in combination with coagulation as pretreatment before ceramic membrane filtration. 小型回旋加速器虚拟样机技术是把小型回旋加速器的理论计算、分析、信息技术与机械设计、加工、装配、调试、运行、维修等专家知识进行有机结合,在系统仿真和虚拟现实基础上发展起来的一种新概念技术。基于虚拟样机,可以实现创新设计,有效降低探索风险。文章探讨了回旋加速器虚拟样机系统框架,讨论了虚拟样机系统的体系结构和回旋加速器产品的全生命周期仿真,提出了基于全生命周期集成和多学科协同设计的回旋加速器虚拟样机的开发思路。

Gain-enhanced reconfigurable radiation array with mechanically driven system and directive elements

摘要: In the artificial intelligence-driven modern wireless communication system, antennas are required to be reconfigurable in terms of size according to changing application scenarios. However, conventional antennas with constant phase distributions cannot achieve enhanced gains in different reconfigurable sizes. In this paper, we propose a mechanically reconfigurable radiation array (RRA) based on miniaturized elements and a mechanically reconfigurable system to obtain gain-enhanced antennas in compact and deployed states. A five-element RRA with a phase-reconfigurable center element is designed and analyzed theoretically. The experimental sample has been fabricated, driven by a deployable frame with only one degree of freedom to realize the size and phase distribution reconfiguration simultaneously to validate the enhanced gains of RRA. The proposed RRA can be tessellated into larger arrays to achieve higher gains in other frequency regimes, such as terahertz or photonics applications with nanometer fabrication technology.

Modular structure of a self-reconfigurable robot

摘要: This paper proposes a novel, hermaphroditic, and lattice self-reconfigurable modular robot. Each module is composed of a center body a cubic part and six sides that can rotate independently. There are two holes and two extensible pegs on each side. The rotary motion of each side and the extensible motion of the pegs are generated by a motor connected to a reducer, using a cone-shaped gear, belt, clutch, etc. The structure of the module is compact, and has space to extend further.

Dissolution and enzymatic hydrolysis of casein micelles studied by dynamic light scattering

摘要: The effects of temperature, ionic strength, and enzymatic hydrolysis on the average hydrodynamic radius () of casein micelles in phosphate buffer were studied by using dynamic light scattering. The results showed that the average value of casein micelles decreased irreversibly during the heating, decreased with the increase of ionic strength in lower ionic strength solution (less than 0.05 mol/L), but opposite in higher ionic strength solution (above 0.1 mol/L). The value of casein increased rapidly during the process of enzymatic hydrolysis, and the structural model of casein micelles in the enzymatic hydrolysis process was also proposed, i.e. the casein micelle changed from compact sphere into unfolded and regularly flocky peptides.

摘要: 随着计算机科学的发展,越来越多硬件功能可通过软件编程实现,使得光学仪器更加紧凑、廉价,光学设计和加工也更加方便、快速。近年来,软件算法被引入光谱检测,发展出一些计算型的光谱仪、光谱成像设备等光谱信息采集系统。通过与传统非计算方法比较,本文突出了计算光谱采集的优势。重点关注紧凑性特征,回顾最具代表性的计算光谱信息采集系统,并作讨论和展望。

基于均匀柱面透镜的紧凑型毫米波空气填充基片集成波导交叉电桥

摘要: 提出一种利用嵌入式均匀柱面透镜设计交叉电桥的新方法。与传统交叉电桥设计相比,该方法在空气填充的基片集成波导交叉腔内引入一个均匀柱面透镜,将入射波导向指定方向。根据射线追踪法,引入的均匀柱面透镜可以在不提高加工复杂度和面积的前提下,有效束缚从输入端传输到输出端的电磁波。详细阐述了该方法的工作机理,并通过电场分布进一步予以验证。利用空气填充基片集成波导技术,研制了工作在毫米波频段的二、三、四通道交叉电桥,验证了所提方法的可行性。同时引入过渡结构,便于实验测量。研究发现二、三、四通道空气填充基片集成波导交叉电桥仿真带宽分别为33%、14%和10%,其核心尺寸分别为0.74,λ,×0.74,λ,、1.43,λ,×1.43,λ,和1.90,λ,×1.90,λ,。最后,为进一步阐述本文方法的优势,将其与公开文献中的类似方法进行了比较。

Measurement and correlation of supercritical CO

摘要: Ionicliquids combined with supercritical fluid technology hold great promise as working solvents for developing compact processes. Ionic liquids, which are organic molten salts, typically have extremely low volatility and high functionality, but possess high viscosities, surface tensions and low diffusion coefficients, which can limit their applicability. CO , on the other hand, especially in its supercritical state, is a green solvent that can be used advantageously when combined with the ionic liquid to provide viscosity and surface tension reduction and to promote mass transfer. The solubility of CO in the ionic liquid is key to estimating the important physical properties that include partition coefficients, viscosities, densities, interfacial tensions, thermal conductivities and heat capacities needed in contactor design. In this work, we examine a subset of available high pressure pure component ionic liquid PVT data and high pressure CO - ionic liquid solubility data and report new correlations for CO -ionic liquid systems with equations of state that have some industrial applications including: (1) general, (2) fuel desulfurization, (3) CO capture, and (4) chiral separation. New measurements of solubility data for the CO and 1-butyl-3-methylimidazolium octyl sulfate, [bmim][OcSO ] system are reported and correlated. In the correlation of the CO ionic liquid phase behavior, the Peng-Robinson and the Sanchez-Lacombe equations of state were considered and are compared. It is shown that excellent correlation of CO solubility can be obtained with either equation and they share some common characteristics regarding interaction parameters. In the Sanchez-Lacombe equation, parameters that are derived from the supercritical region were found to be important for obtaining good correlation of the CO -ionic liquid solubility data.

Proliferation of district heating using local energy resources through strategic building-stock management: A case study in Fukushima, Japan

District heating systems using cogeneration technology and renewable resources are considered as an effective approach to resources conservation and reduction of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. However, wide-spread aging and depopulation problems, as well as the popularization of energy-saving technologies in buildings, are estimated to greatly decrease energy consumption, leading to inefficiency in district heating and barriers to technology proliferation. From a long-term perspective, land use changes, especially the progression of compact city plans, have the potential to offset the decrement in energy consumption that maintains the efficiency of district heating systems. An integrated model is developed in this paper based on building cohort analysis to evaluate the economic feasibility and environmental impact of introducing district heating systems to a long-term compact city plan. As applied to a case in the Soma Region of Fukushima, Japan, potential migration from the suburbs to the central station districts is simulated, where district heating based on gas-fired cogeneration is expected to be introduced. The results indicate that guided migration to produce concentrated centers of population can substantially increase the heat demand density, which supports a wider application of district heating systems and better low-carbon performance. These results are further discussed in relation to technology innovation and related policies. It is concluded that policies related to urban land use planning and energy management should be integrated and quantitatively evaluated over the long-term with the aim of supporting urban low-carbon sustainable development.

基于竞争的二进制多目标灰狼算法的快速紧凑天线拓扑优化 Research Article

摘要: 为降低传统多目标天线拓扑优化问题的计算量,本文提出一种基于竞争的二进制多目标灰狼优化算法(CBMOGWO)。该方法引入种群竞争机制,以减轻电磁(EM)仿真的负担并获取适当的适应度值。此外,我们引入余弦振荡函数来改进原始二进制多目标灰狼优化算法(BMOGWO)的线性收敛因子,以在探索和开发之间达到良好平衡。然后,通过与原始BMOGWO和传统二进制多目标粒子群优化(BMOPSO)在12个多目标优化测试问题(MOTPs)和4个多目标背包问题(MOKPs)上比较,验证了CBMOGWO的性能。最后,通过具有高维混合设计变量和多个目标的紧凑型高隔离双频多输入多输出(MIMO)天线的示例,验证了我们的方法在降低计算成本方面的有效性。实验结果表明,与传统方法相比,CBMOGWO节省近一半的计算成本,这表明我们的方法对于复杂天线拓扑优化问题是高效的。它为基于多目标进化算法(MOEA)以灵活高效的方式探索新的和意想不到的天线结构提供了新思路。
