Reliability mesh convergence analysis by introducing expanded control variates

摘要: The safety evaluation of engineering systems whose performance evaluation requires finite element analysis is a challenge in reliability theory. Recently, Adjusted Control Variates Technique (ACVAT) has proposed by the authors to solve this issue. ACVAT uses the results of a finite element method (FEM) model with coarse mesh density as the control variates of the model with fine mesh and efficiently solves FEM-based reliability problems. ACVAT however does not provide any results about the reliability-based mesh convergence of the problem, which is an important tool in FEM. Mesh-refinement analysis allows checking whether the numerical solution is sufficiently accurate, even though the exact solution is unknown. In this study, by introducing expanded control variates (ECV) formulation, ACVAT is improved and the capabilities of the method are also extended for efficient reliability mesh convergence analysis of FEM-based reliability problems. In the present study, the FEM-based reliability analyses of four practical engineering problems are investigated by this method and the corresponding results are compared with accurate results obtained by analytical solutions for two problems. The results confirm that the proposed approach not only handles the mesh refinement progress with the required accuracy, but it also reduces considerably the computational cost of FEM-based reliability problems.

摘要:

运营技术(OT)与信息技术(IT)的融合成为工业数字化转型和制造业高质量发展的关键。本文开展了OT与IT融合发展的需求分析,从建立工业物联网、发展跨平台分析框架、开发开放性平台、推行基于云端部署的数据采集与监控系统等方面梳理了OT与IT融合的现状;提出了建立OT与IT融合的全套计算栈、持续推进工业互联网、加强OT与IT融合的安全保障等未来两类技术体系融合的技术路径。研究建议,强化OT与IT融合的技术标准化应用,建立包括评估关键资产风险、关注底层数据、加强检测系统开发、分离通信功能、应用人工智能技术在内的OT与IT融合的安全保障体系,以此为我国“互联网 +”行动在工业制造领域的深度发展提供关键支撑。

Convergence performance comparisons of PID, MRAC, and PID+MRAC hybrid controller

摘要:

This study proposes a hybrid controller by combining a proportional-integral-derivative (PID) control and a model reference adaptive control (MRAC), which named as PID+MRAC controller. The convergence performances of the PID control, MRAC, and hybrid PID+MRAC are also compared. Through the simulation in Matlab, the results show that the convergence speed and performance of the MRAC and the PID+MRAC controller are better than those of the PID controller. In addition, the convergence performance of the hybrid control is better than that of the MRAC control.

A new type of quadratic acceleration method

摘要: The polynomial acceleration method for time history analysis is presented, in which accelerations between several equal neighboring time steps were assumed to be a polynomial function of time interval. With a higher order polynomial used, a higher accuracy can be obtained, but the stability field of the method becomes narrower. When stability field and computational accuracy are taken into account at the same time, the quadratic acceleration method is superior to linear and cubic acceleration methods in choosing the maximum acceptable time step size. It is also shown that the quadratic acceleration method has desirable arithmetic damp, amplitude decay rate and period elongation rate, though its conditional stability restricts its application in stiff structures.

A frequency error estimation for isogeometric analysis of Kirchhoff–Love cylindrical shells

摘要: A frequency error estimation is presented for the isogeometric free vibration analysis of Kirchhoff–Love cylindrical shells using both quadratic and cubic basis functions. By analyzing the discrete isogeometric equations with the aid of harmonic wave assumption, the frequency error measures are rationally derived for the quadratic and cubic formulations for Kirchhoff–Love cylindrical shells. In particular, the governing relationship of the continuum frequency for Kirchhoff–Love cylindrical shells is naturally embedded into the frequency error measures without the need of explicit frequency expressions, which usually are not trivial for the shell problems. In accordance with these theoretical findings, the 2nd and 4th orders of frequency accuracy are attained for the isogeometric schemes using quadratic and cubic basis functions, respectively. Numerical results not only thoroughly verify the theoretical convergence rates of frequency solutions, but also manifest an excellent magnitude match between numerical and theoretical frequency errors for the isogeometric free vibration analysis of Kirchhoff–Love cylindrical shells.

战略性新兴产业多领域知识融合路径研究——基于引用网络和文本信息的分析

摘要:

针对战略性新兴产业开展技术融合过程分析,有助于深入理解产业技术的产生过程和发展规律,从而捕捉领域发展动向、推动产业健康发展。本文针对战略性新兴产业中呈现融合发展趋势且备受社会关注的高端装备制造、新一代信息技术、新医药、新能源4个技术领域进行多案例研究,以期识别出技术融合发展的路径和程度。采用基于引用网络和文本信息的知识融合路径分析方法,使用图神经网络同时将论文的引用网络、标题和摘要信息编码为向量;分析4个技术领域的论文数据,识别出了 5 条技术融合路径。研究结果表明,信息技术与数控设备技术、生物医药与太阳能光伏技术均呈现深度融合的趋势,且前者的融合程度更为深入;数控设备与太阳能光伏技术、信息技术与太阳能光伏技术也呈现融合趋势,但限于发展时间较短而显融合程度较浅;数控设备与生物医药技术领域尚未呈现融合发展的趋势。

Convergence to real-time decision making

摘要: Real-time decision making reflects the convergence of several digital technologies, including those concerned with the promulgation of artificial intelligence and other advanced technologies that underpin real-time actions. More specifically, real-time decision making can be depicted in terms of three converging dimensions: Internet of Things, decision making, and real-time. The Internet of Things include tangible goods, intangible services, ServGoods, and connected ServGoods. Decision making includes model-based analytics (since before 1990), information-based Big Data (since 1990), and training-based artificial intelligence (since 2000), and it is bolstered by the evolving real-time technologies of sensing (i.e., capturing streaming data), processing (i.e., applying real-time analytics), reacting (i.e., making decisions in real-time), and learning (i.e., employing deep neural networks). Real-time includes mobile networks, autonomous vehicles, and artificial general intelligence. Central to decision making, especially real-time decision making, is the ServGood concept, which the author introduced in an earlier paper (2012). It is a physical product or good encased by a services layer that renders the good more adaptable and smarter for a specific purpose or use. Addition of another communication sensors layer could further enhance its smartness and adaptiveness. Such connected ServGoods constitute a solid foundation for the advanced products of tomorrow which can further display their growing intelligence through real-time decisions.

Predictor-corrector algorithm for solving quasi-separated-flow and transient distributed-parameter model for heat exchangers

摘要: The successive sub?stitution (SS) method is a suitable approach to solving the transient distributed-parameter model for heat exchangers. However, this method must be enhanced because its convergence heavily depends on the iterative initial pressure. When the iterative initial pressure is improperly assigned, the calculated flow rates become negative values, causing the state parameters to exhibit negative values as well. Therefore, a predictor-corrector algorithm (PCA) is proposed to improve the convergence of the SS method. A predictor is developed to determine an appropriate iterative initial pressure. Total fluid mass is adopted as the convergence criterion of pressure iteration instead of outlet flow rate as is done in the SS method. Convergence analysis and case study of the PCA and SS method are conducted, which show that the PCA has better convergence than the SS method under the same working conditions.

Estimation of distribution algorithm enhanced particle swarm optimization for water distribution network optimization

摘要: The optimization of a water distribution network (WDN) is a highly nonlinear, multi-modal, and constrained combinatorial problem. Particle swarm optimization (PSO) has been shown to be a fast converging algorithm for WDN optimization. An improved estimation of distribution algorithm (EDA) using historic best positions to construct a sample space is hybridized with PSO both in sequential and in parallel to improve population diversity control and avoid premature convergence. Two water distribution network benchmark examples from the literature are adopted to evaluate the performance of the proposed hybrid algorithms. The experimental results indicate that the proposed algorithms achieved the literature record minimum (6.081 M$) for the small size Hanoi network. For the large size Balerma network, the parallel hybrid achieved a slightly lower minimum (1.921M?) than the current literature reported best minimum (1.923M?). The average number of evaluations needed to achieve the minimum is one order smaller than most existing algorithms. With a fixed, small number of evaluations, the sequential hybrid outperforms the parallel hybrid showing its capability for fast convergence. The fitness and diversity of the populations were tracked for the proposed algorithms. The track record suggests that constructing an EDA sample space with historic best positions can improve diversity control significantly. Parallel hybridization also helps to improve diversity control yet its effect is relatively less significant.

摘要: 本文分析一类时变网络的收敛性。将收敛性质应用于具有未知控制方向的非线性多智能体系统协同控制问题,并提出一类新的基于Nussbaum型函数的控制策略。若时变网络是准平衡的,则所提控制策略可实现具有未知控制方向的非线性多智能体系统的收敛。所提算法的一个重要特点是,该算法可采用经典的Nussbaum型函数解决控制方向未知且不等同问题。最后,提出一个仿真案例验证所提算法的有效性。

一种新的用于3G互连的盲均衡改进算法TDE—CMA

摘要:

 DVB中广泛使用的CMA均衡算法一直深受伪收敛问题的困扰。从CMA算法的代价函数、迭代方程 及初始化系数等方面对伪收敛问题进行研究,在此基础上提出一种带时延估计的CMA改进算法。该算法通过引 入时延校正因子来调整主径的位置,从而避免了伪收敛现象。计算机仿真表明该方法大大提高了原算法的收敛 性,并且具有运算量小、易实现的优点,是一种实用性较强的改进算法,适用于高速的3G互连应用。

相对传感网络分布式卡尔曼滤波器的收敛性分析 Research

摘要: 严格分析了相对传感网络中分布式卡尔曼滤波问题。用无向图对相对传感网络建模,并假设网络中各节点具有相同动力学模型。给出整个系统可观测性的充要条件,并详细证明。通过局部信息和测量通信,设计了一种基于卡尔曼滤波技术的分布式次优估计器,并与集中式最优估计器比较。给出系统收敛对应的网络拓扑充分条件,并结合系统参数给出n个线性矩阵不等式(linear matrix inequality, LMI)方程的数值解。数值仿真验证了所提算法的有效性。
