The effect of sea level rise on beach morphology of caspian sea coast

摘要: Study of beach morphology has been one of the most important issues in coastal engineering research projects. Because of the existence of two important coastal areas located in the north and south parts of the Iran, in the present study an analysis of the coastal zone behaviour is made. Bed level elevations are measured and compared with the theoretical equilibrium profile. It is shown that the behaviour of the coastal zone in the region is consistent with the Dean (1991) equilibrium profile. In the next stage, following extensive investigations, the bed level changes due to arise in sea level at different locations in the surf zone are estimated. The mechanism of beach re-treatment due to a rise in sea level is considered based on the simplified model of Dean (1991) in which the mass balance of the sediments is taken into account. Comparison of the equilibrium profiles for different cases of sea level rise, clearly shows that because of the sediment transport induced by the fluctuation of the water level, the beach profile in the surf zone changes accordingly resulting in an erosion in the inner region of the surf zone and an accumulation of sediments towards the offshore.

Effects of coarse and fine aggregates on long-term mechanical properties of sea sand recycled aggregate

摘要: Typical effects of coarse and fine aggregates on the long-term properties of sea sand recycled aggregate concrete (SSRAC) are analyzed by a series of axial compression tests. Two different types of fine (coarse) aggregates are considered: sea sand and river sand (natural and recycled coarse aggregates). Variations in SSRAC properties at different ages are investigated. A novel test system is developed via axial compression experiments and the digital image correlation method to obtain the deformation field and crack development of concrete. Supportive results show that the compressive strength of SSRAC increase with decreasing recycled coarse aggregate replacement percentage and increasing sea sand chloride ion content. The elastic modulus of SSRAC increases with age. However, the Poisson’s ratio reduces after 2 years. Typical axial stress–strain curves of SSRAC vary with age. Generally, the effect of coarse aggregates on the axial deformation of SSRAC is clear; however, the deformation differences between coarse aggregate and cement mortar reduce by adopting sea sand. The aggregate type changes the crack characteristics and propagation of SSRAC. Finally, an analytical expression is suggested to construct the long-term stress–strain curve of SSRAC.

Compressive behavior and microstructure of concrete mixed with natural seawater and sea sand

摘要: Noncorrosive reinforcement materials facilitate producing structural concrete with seawater and sea sand. This study investigated the properties of seawater and sea sand concrete (SSC), considering the curing age (3, 7, 14, 21, 28, 60, and 150 d) and strength grade (C30, C40, and C60). The compressive behavior of SSC was obtained by compressive tests and digital image correction (DIC) technique. Scanning electron microscope (SEM) and X-ray powder diffraction (XRD) methods were applied to understand the microstructure and hydration products of cement in SSC. Results revealed a 30% decrease in compressive strength for C30 and C40 SSC from 60 to 150 d, and a less than 5% decrease for C60 from 28 to 150 d. DIC results revealed significant cracking and crushing from 80% to 100% of compressive strength. SEM images showed a more compact microstructure in higher strength SSC. XRD patterns identified Friedel’s salt phase due to the chlorides brought by seawater and sea sand. The findings in this study can provide more insights into the microstructure of SSC along with its short- and long-term compressive behavior.

Synergistic effect of V and Fe in Ni/Fe/V ternary layered double hydroxides for efficient and durable

摘要: High-performance and stable electrocatalysts are vital for the oxygen evolution reaction (OER). Herein, via a one-pot hydrothermal method, Ni/Fe/V ternary layered double hydroxides (NiFeV-LDH) derived from Ni foam are fabricated to work as highly active and durable electrocatalysts for OER. By changing the feeding ratio of Fe and V salts, the prepared ternary hydroxides were optimized. At an Fe:V ratio of 0.5:0.5, NiFeV-LDH exhibits outstanding OER activity superior to that of the binary hydroxides, requiring overpotentials of 269 and 274 mV at 50 mA·cm–2 in the linear sweep voltammetry and sampled current voltammetry measurements, respectively. Importantly, NiFeV-LDH shows extraordinary long-term stability (≥ 75 h) at an extremely high current density of 200 mA·cm–2. In contrast, the binary hydroxides present quick decay at 200 mA·cm–2 or even reduced current densities (150 and 100 mA·cm–2). The outstanding OER performance of NiFeV-LDH benefits from the synergistic effect of V and Fe while doping the third metal into bimetallic hydroxide layers: (a) Fe plays a crucial role as the active site; (b) electron-withdrawing V stabilizes the high valence state of Fe, thus accelerating the OER process; (c) V further offers great stabilization for the formed intermediate of FeOOH, thus achieving superior durability.

Floret-like Fe–N nanoparticle-embedded porous carbon superstructures from a Fe-covalent triazine polymer

摘要: Fe–Nx nanoparticles-embedded porous carbons with a desirable superstructure have attracted immense attention as promising catalysts for electrochemical oxygen reduction reaction. Herein, we employed Fe-coordinated covalent triazine polymer for the fabrication of Fe–Nx nanoparticle-embedded porous carbon nanoflorets (Fe/N@CNFs) employing a hypersaline-confinement-conversion strategy. Presence of tailored N types within the covalent triazine polymer interwork in high proportions contributes to the generation of Fe/N coordination and subsequent Fe–Nx nanoparticles. Owing to the utilization of NaCl crystals, the resultant Fe/N@CNF-800 which was generated by pyrolysis at 800 °C showed nanoflower structure and large specific surface area, which remarkably suppressed the agglomeration of high catalytic active sites. As expect, the Fe/N@CNF-800 exhibited unexpected oxygen reduction reaction catalytic performance with an ultrahigh half-wave potential (0.89 V vs. reversible hydrogen electrode), a dominant 4e transfer approach and great cycle stability (> 92% after 100000 s). As a demonstration, the Fe/N-PCNF-800-assembled zinc–air battery delivered a high open circuit voltage of 1.51 V, a maximum peak power density of 164 mW·cm–2, as well as eminent rate performance, surpassing those of commercial Pt/C. This contribution offers a valuable avenue to exploit efficient metal nanoparticles-based carbon catalysts towards energy-related electrocatalytic reactions and beyond.

海水西调是西北和华北北部可持续发展的需要

摘要:

着重讨论第三、第四纪以来,特别是人类历史记载以来自然干旱化进程是缓慢而深刻的并且是不可逆转的等问题。进一步认识西北和华北北部三套面向西北迎风八字形高山冷凝系统的地利条件。恰逢今年3.20跨国沙尘暴事件,重点提出拯救阿拉善和额济纳旗的调水措施。文章还回答了四点质询。结论指出欲缓解或局部逆转西北干旱化进程唯有海水西调,这是西北可持续发展的基础。

我国南海资源开发装备发展研究

摘要:

南海是我国面积最大的海域,超过70%为深海区域,蕴藏着丰富的深海资源,尤其是深海油气、深海矿产等。高温、高湿、高盐是我国南海区别于其他海域的主要特征,研究适用于南海资源开发的海洋装备具有重要的战略意义。本文首先分析总结了国内外主要海洋资源开发装备的发展现状及趋势,详细分析了南海资源开发装备的发展需求与关键技术,提出了南海资源开发装备的发展目标和发展思路等。最后从装备与产业发展角度,提出了南海资源开发装备产业的发展建议:依托海南省建设深海油气开发关键技术研发中心和应急救援中心、深海矿产资源开发装备研发中心、深海养殖示范区和试验区以及国家南海深远海海上综合试验场等,逐步建设“国家深海科技创新中心”“国家深海工程装备保障基地”“国家深海科技产业中心”等。

我国深海矿产资源开发装备研发现状与展望

摘要:

浩瀚的大洋底部蕴藏着丰富的矿产资源,其种类多、储量大、品位高,具有巨大的开发利用前景,世界各国都在加快深海矿产资源开发装备的研制。本文系统分析了国内外深海矿产资源开发技术装备的发展现状,从基础科学问题研究、关键技术研发、海上试验验证等角度剖析我国技术装备存在的不足,总结归纳亟待解决的关键科学技术问题,并据此提出深海采矿重载作业装备、矿石输送装备、水面支持装备的发展方向。研究提出深海矿产资源开发秉持重装、协同、智能、绿色的发展理念,加速推进核心技术创新和装备自主研发;建议开展深海多金属结核开采示范工程建设,加快推动深海矿产资源开发关键技术装备研发,实现规模化海上试采,并着眼长期生产作业开展系统设计,促进商业化开采进程。

提出内陆盆地增加降水量的三项必要和充分条件,即西风带、高山山脉冷凝作用和广大湿地提供水 气源。提出海水西调工程,从渤海西北海岸提水到大兴安岭南端,经内蒙古北部到达新疆,目的是恢复和扩大 西北湿地,治理沙漠和沙尘暴。工程将产生十大经济和生态效益,其中4条效益是不可替代的。

In this study two main management strategies are discussed: one is to develop resource conservation-based capture fisheries, and the other is to develop environmentally friendly aquaculture. During the resource recovery period, the development of environmentally friendly aquaculture should be encouraged, especially in integrated multi-trophic aquaculture, which is adaptive, efficient and sustainable. For future development and better understanding the ecosystem, it is necessary to further strengthen basic research.
