摘要:

低温化是固体氧化物燃料电池(SOFC)发电技术的重要发展趋势。SOFC工作温度的降低不仅可极大地降低材料及制备成本,更重要的是可极大地提高其长期运行的稳定性。电解质是SOFC的核心部件,可以采用电解质薄膜化或新型电解质材料来降低SOFC的工作温度。本文概述了目前被广泛研究的低温SOFC的电解质材料,并从其结构及性能出发,重点阐述了它们各自的优点和局限性。

金属支撑型固体氧化物燃料电池研究进展

摘要:

随着固体氧化物燃料电池(SOFC)向中低温发展,使得金属材料用于SOFC的关键组件成为可能。金属支撑型SOFC(MS-SOFC)是以金属或合金作为燃料电池支撑体的结构。相对于其他支撑型SOFC,MS-SOFC具有更好的导电能力和导热能力、较高的机械强度以及较低的成本,所以引起了研究人员的广泛关注。目前,MS-SOFC的结构呈多样化发展,支撑体、电极和电解质的材料及其制备工艺也不尽相同。本文介绍了不同结构的MS-SOFC的研究现状,评述了它们各自的制备工艺和存在的问题,并提出了目前MS-SOFC亟需解决的问题。

SOFC单电池测试方法

摘要:

固体氧化物燃料电池(SOFC)性能的测试结果能揭示材料和制备方法及其性能之间的复杂关系,确定燃料电池内部损耗的各种来源,并指导有关材料和制备技术的研发。在SOFC进入商业化发展的前期,测试方法的标准化有助于建立基础研究和开发研究间的有效和可靠联系,实现各研究机构所得测试结果的可比性,从而推动基础研究成果转化为现实的生产力。本文综述了国际上有关单电池标准测试系统的建立和步骤的制定以及测试结果报告的标准化,指出了在我国建立完善的SOFC发电技术标准体系的重要性和迫切性。

固体氧化物燃料电池(SOFC)是全固态的化学发电装置,其构成材料固体氧化物对SOFC性能的影响尤为重要。本文从材料对SOFC电化学性能影响的视角出发,立足电化学、固体电化学的基本原理,概述了SOFC构成材料的电化学表征方法,并将一些研究积累赘述文中,希望有利于材料的进一步研究。

Part-load, startup, and shutdown strategies of a solid oxide fuel cell-gas turbine hybrid system

摘要: Current work on the performance of a solid oxide fuel cell (SOFC) and gas turbine hybrid system is presented. Each component model developed and applied is mathematically defined. The electrochemical performance of single SOFC with different fuels is tested. Experimental results are used to validate the SOFC mathematical model. Based on the simulation model, a safe operation regime of the hybrid system is accurately plotted first. Three different part-load strategies are introduced and used to analyze the part-load performance of the hybrid system using the safe regime. Another major objective of this paper is to introduce a suitable startup and shutdown strategy for the hybrid system. The sequences for the startup and shutdown are proposed in detail, and the system responses are acquired with the simulation model. Hydrogen is used instead of methane during the startup and shutdown process. Thus, the supply of externally generated steam is not needed for the reforming reaction. The gas turbine is driven by complementary fuel and supplies compressed air to heat up or cool down the SOFC stack operating temperature. The dynamic simulation results show that smooth cooling and heating of the cell stack can be accomplished without external electrical power.

Numerical investigation of the chemical and electrochemical characteristics of planar solid oxide fuel cell with direct internal reforming

摘要: A fully three-dimensional mathematical model of a planar solid oxide fuel cell (SOFC) with complete direct internal steam reforming was constructed to investigate the chemical and electrochemical characteristics of the porous-electrode-supported (PES)-SOFC developed by the Central Research Institute of Electric Power Industry of Japan. The effective kinetic models developed over the Ni/YSZ anode takes into account the heat transfer and species diffusion limitations in this porous anode. The models were used to simulate the methane steam reforming processes at the co- and counter-flow patterns. The results show that the flow patterns of gas and air have certain effects on cell performance. The cell at the counter-flow has a higher output voltage and output power density at the same operating conditions. At the counter-flow, however, a high hotspot temperature is observed in the anode with a non-fixed position, even when the air inlet flow rate is increased. This is disadvantageous to the cell. Both cell voltage and power density decrease with increased air flow rate.

Performance comparison of cocurrent and countercurrent flow solid oxide fuel cells

摘要: Solid oxide fuel cell (SOFC) is a complicated system with heat and mass transfer as well as electrochemical reactions. The flowing configuration of fuel and oxidants in the fuel cell will greatly affect the performance of the fuel cell stack. Based on the developed mathematical model of direct internal reforming SOFC, this paper established a distributed parameters simulation model for cocurrent and countercurrent types of SOFC based on the volume-resistance characteristic modeling method. The steady-state distribution characteristics and dynamic performances were compared and were analyzed for cocurrent and countercurrent types of SOFCs. The results indicate that the cocurrent configuration of SOFC is more suitable with regard to performance and safety.

A performance analysis of integrated solid oxide fuel cell and heat recovery steam generator for IGFC system

摘要: Solid oxide fuel cell (SOFC) is a promising technology for electricity generation. Sulfur-free syngas from a gas-cleaning unit serves as fuel for SOFC in integrated gasification fuel cell (IGFC) power plants. It converts the chemical energy of fuel gas directly into electric energy, thus high efficiencies can be achieved. The outputs from SOFC can be utilized by heat recovery steam generator (HRSG), which drives the steam turbine for electricity production. The SOFC stack model was developed using the process flow sheet simulator Aspen Plus, which is of the equilibrium type. Various ranges of syngas properties gathered from different literature were used for the simulation. The results indicate a trade-off efficiency and power with respect to a variety of SOFC inputs. The HRSG located after SOFC was included in the current simulation study with various operating parameters. This paper describes IGFC power plants, particularly the optimization of HRSG to improve the efficiency of the heat recovery from the SOFC exhaust gas and to maximize the power production in the steam cycle in the IGFC system. HRSG output from different pressure levels varies depending on the SOFC output. The steam turbine efficiency was calculated for measuring the total power plant output. The aim of this paper is to provide a simulation model for the optimal selection of the operative parameters of HRSG and SOFC for the IGFC system by comparing it with other models. The simulation model should be flexible enough for use in future development and capable of predicting system performance under various operating conditions.

Brazing of ceramic-to-ceramic and ceramic-to-metal joints in air

摘要: Reactive air brazing (RAB) is an emerging technology for the production of ceramic-to-ceramic and ceramic-to-metal joints. In this study, RAB was investigated with respect to the potential applications for solid oxide fuel cells (SOFCs) as one example of use. It was found that alumina could be well brazed by RAB with AgCu and AgCuTi brazes. Both braze composition and brazing temperature influenced significantly the wetting behavior and their mechanism of wetting. AgCu and AgCuTi braze alloys could also be used to produce brazed joints with the SOFC materials ceramic yttria stabilized zirconia and steel X1CrTiLa22. However, CuO reacts with the steel, forming a brittle oxide layer on the steel surface, which is undesirable for SOFC applications. The first trials with Ag0.5Al showed a promising solution.

碳基燃料SOFC阳极材料研究进展

摘要:

固体氧化物燃料电池(SOFCs)是一类可以将燃料气体的化学能以高效而环境友好的方式直接转化为电能的电化学反应器。最近的研究趋势是发展可以直接电化学氧化碳氢化合物燃料(如天然气)的电池,但是使用碳氢化合物作为燃料时,目前最常使用的镍-氧化钇稳定的氧化锆(Ni/YSZ)金属陶瓷阳极材料具有易积碳和硫中毒的缺点。因此,研究在燃料气氛下具有混合离子-电子电导的替代阳极材料显得尤为必要。综述了以碳基燃料工作的SOFCs阳极材料研究的一些进展,并展望本领域在未来的发展趋势。
