Frontiers of Chemical Science and Engineering 2019, Volume 13, Issue 1,   Pages 140-151 doi: 10.1007/s11705-018-1714-y

Abstract: This process resulted in the separation of the sugars and acids from the acid-catalyzed hydrolysate, the removal of most of the fermentation inhibitors from the hydrolysate and the concentration of thedetoxified hydrolysate.using acid retardation was greater than 99.12% and the sulfuric acid was completely recovered from the hydrolysateWhen the treated corn stover hydrolysate, containing 100 g/L glucose, was used as a carbon source, 43.06

Fate of proteins of waste activated sludge during thermal alkali pretreatment in terms of sludge protein recovery

Xiaoli Song, Zhenghua Shi, Xiufen Li, Xinhua Wang, Yueping Ren

Frontiers of Environmental Science & Engineering 2019, Volume 13, Issue 2, doi: 10.1007/s11783-019-1114-7

Abstract:

Maillard reaction between reducing sugars and amides happened during pretreatment.

Over 90 min of TAH at the optimal condition, 67.59% sludge proteins was solubilized.

15.84% soluble proteins broke down to materials with small molecular weight.
