Wang Baohai,Huang Fusheng,Li Baohai,wang Cuiling,wang Chengming

Strategic Study of CAE 1999, Volume 1, Issue 3,   Pages 86-92

Abstract:

This paper summarized the advances and progresses in the investigation, classification, evolution of fauna, vertical distribution and evolution of adaptation of insect in Tibet, since 50s in this century. A new understanding and vision of fauna in Tibet were discussed in further. It was suggested that the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau can be regarded as a separate geographical region of fauna as equal to palaearctic region and oriental region.

Ophthalmology & Visual Sciences in China Today

Xie Lixin

Strategic Study of CAE 2003, Volume 5, Issue 1,   Pages 1-5

Abstract:

Since the reform and opening-up, ophthalmic resources have rapidly developed in China. On the basis of latest data, this article mainly introduces the present clinical and experimental studies in China on common blinding eye diseases of cataract, cornea, refractive error, vitreous & retina and glaucoma. Great progress has been made in clinical diagnosis and treatment with state-of-the-art ophthalmic equipment and internationally renowned experts in part of cities. However, the difference in overall ophthalmic level between China and developed countries is still pronounced. Main facilities are totally dependent upon importation from abroad. Experimental eye research is facing challenges as well. It requires more policy and financial supports to realize great breakthrough in this frontier.

Frontiers in Energy 2020, Volume 14, Issue 1,   Pages 192-211 doi: 10.1007/s11708-016-0438-2

Abstract: In this paper, a supervisory computer network for Borneo-Wide Power Grid system have been proposed and implemented, which includes a renewable power generation and advanced metering infrastructure. An Internet-based communication network running on multiprotocol label switching (MPLS) has been implemented for a smart power grid, with the addition of the renewable energy monitoring system. The centralized supervisory control and data acquisition systems (SCADA) are replaced by a wide area monitoring system(WAMS) comprising of a phasor measurement unit (PMU). The implemented communication network used advanced metering infrastructure that operates on worldwide interoperability for microwave access (WiMAX), wireless fidelity (Wi-Fi) and low power Wi-Fi, which are proposed for the distribution systems of Sarawak Energy. The proposed wide area network (WAN) is simulated using OPNET Modeler and the results are compared with the existing WAN used by Sarawak Energy.

Advance in FCC Process Reaction Chemistry

Xu Youhao and Wang Xieqing

Strategic Study of CAE 2007, Volume 9, Issue 8,   Pages 6-14

Abstract:

Faced the stringent challenge of FCC process,  the multi-dimensional reaction structure was proposed for FCC process reaction chemistry.  The multi-dimension reaction structure mode was established on the basis of hydrocarbon reaction chemistry over acid catalyst,  but the former was different from the latter.  FCC process with multi-dimensional reaction structure has more production modes.  The multi-dimensional reaction structure was used to successfully develop MIP process aiming at maximizing iso-paraffins in cracked naphtha and MIP-CGP process aiming at cleaner gasoline and more propylene.

Advanced Bioprocess Development and Manufacturing Technologies in High-Throughput Miniature Bioreactors

Jiao Peng, Chen Biqiang

Strategic Study of CAE 2016, Volume 18, Issue 4,   Pages 44-50 doi: 10.15302/J-SSCAE-2016.04.007

Abstract:

In recent years, the importance of rapid response time to virulent infectious disease is widely recognized. However, the traditional technologies for bioprocess development and manufacturing will not succeed in winning this war. US healthcare companies and related organizations including US Department of Human Health and Service, proposed and started working on the next generation of technology platforms for advanced bioprocess development and manufacturing (ABDM).The development of ABDM is to significantly reduce the timeframe for bioprocess development and manufacturing, making it possible to promptly respond to outburst of pandemic influenza and prevent it from outspreading. Meanwhile, the development of precision medicine also presents new demands to the biopharmaceutical industry. With the demand of small-scale production and fast turn-around time of precision medicine, the duration of development and manufacturing needs to be accelerated significantly. At the same time, the number of sub-groups of the product would increase, and the batch sizes and amount of final product would decrease, as well. To satisfy the demands of small-scale production and fast turnaround time of ABDM, micro- and mini-bioreactor is the key equipment. The major technologies of ABDM include high throughput screening and process development based on micro- and mini-bioreactors, disposable technology, modular unit operations and flexible manufacturing. The development of ABDM will directly strengthen the National Security, improve the welfare of the people, and it also provides great social and economic values. The impact of this platform will radiate to the entire biomanufacture industry, and open a whole new era for the bioprocess development and bio-manufacturing.

Strategic Study of CAE 2010, Volume 12, Issue 5,   Pages 78-83

Abstract:

The rapid growth of China petroleum industry has brought about the steady development of its geophysical equipment technology. For example, our seismic instrument has experienced its sixth upgrade. As a result, our geophysical equipment technology has met world advanced standards. After 20 years of painstaking efforts in R&D and by means of technology-introducing, digesting, absorbing, and innovating, some of our vibrator technologies have reached the world advanced level and still some have taken the world leading positions. Our seismic auxiliary equipment has much improved and earned its reputation in the global market after 30 years of independent R&D.
