摘要: A multi-stage dual replica bit-line delay (MDRBD) technique is proposed for reducing access time by suppressing the sense-amplifier enable (SAE) timing variation of low voltage static random-access memory (SRAM) applications. Compared with the traditional technique, this strategy, using statistical theory, reduces the timing variation by using multi-stage ideas, meanwhile doubling the replica bit-line (RBL) capacitance and discharge path simultaneously in each stage. At a supply voltage of 0.6 V, the simulation results show that the standard deviations of the SAE timing and cycle time with the proposed technique are 69.2% and 47.2%, respectively, smaller than that with a conventional RBL delay technique in TSMC 65 nm CMOS technology (Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company, Taiwan).

摘要: 本文提出了一种针对时钟数据恢复电路的宽范围追踪技术。与传统技术相比,本文采用带校准的数字时钟数据恢复控制器,拓展了追踪范围;同时,时钟数据恢复电路对工艺和电源电压的变化不再敏感。为了验证该技术,整个时钟数据恢复电路采用65 nm CMOS工艺实现。测试结果表明在5 Gb/s数据率下,追踪范围大于±6-3。整体接收器拥有良好的抖动容限,且误码率达到了<10-12。重新采样和串化后的串行数据的均方根抖动仅为6.7ps。

摘要:

由于数据驱动的过程监测方法具有普遍性,且不依赖反应机理,其已经成为复杂工业系统过程监测的主流。然而,大多数数据驱动的过程监测方法均假设历史训练数据和在线测试数据遵循相同的分布。事实上,由于工业系统恶劣的环境,从实际工业过程中收集的数据总是受到许多因素的影响,如多变的操作环境、原材料的变化和生产指标的修改。这些因素通常会使在线监测数据和历史训练数据分布不同,从而导致过程监测任务中的模型失配。因此,当将从训练数据中学习的模型应用于实际的在线监测时,很难实现精确的过程监测。为了解决操作环境变化导致的历史训练数据和在线测试数据之间的分布差异问题,提出了一种鲁棒的迁移字典学习(RTDL)算法用于工业过程监测。RTDL是表示学习和域自适应迁移学习的协同方法。该方法将历史训练数据和在线测试数据分别作为迁移学习问题的源域和目标域。然后将最大均值差异正则化和线性判别分析正则化引入字典学习框架,可以减少源域和目标域之间的分布差异。这样,即使源域和目标域的特征在实际变化的操作环境的干扰下明显不同,仍可以学习鲁棒的字典。这样的字典可以有效地提高过程监测和模态识别的性能。通过数值仿真和两个工业系统的实验验证了该方法的有效性和优越性。

Temperature variation of concrete box girder bridge

摘要: On the basis of theoretical analysis and measurement on site, the temperature gradients and its variation on concrete box girder bridges resulting from ambient temperature, solar radiation, and structural temperature fields were discussed. With the help of the heat transfer theory and finite element method (FEM), the heat flux of the surface of concrete box girder was carried out, and all the heat fluxes were described as the convection. The results were compared with that from field measurements, and a good correlation was found. It was revealed that the methods, the parameters, the boundary condition used in this paper were reasonable. Last, some conclusions were obtained, which could provide the basis for box girder design under solar radiation.

Assessment of liver volume variation to evaluate liver function

摘要:

In order to assess the value of liver volumetry in cirrhosis and acute liver failure (ALF) patients, we explored the correlation between hepatic volume and severity of the hepatic diseases. The clinical data of 48 cirrhosis patients with 60 normal controls and 39 ALF patients were collected. Computed tomography-derived liver volume (CTLV) and body surface area (BSA) of normal controls were calculated to get a regression formula for standard liver volume (SLV) and BSA. Then CTLV and SLV of all patients were calculated and grouped by Child-Turcotte-Pugh classification for cirrhosis patients and assigned according to prognosis of ALF patients for further comparison. It turned out that the mean liver volume of the control group was 1 058±337 cm3. SLV was correlated with BSA according to the regression formula. The hepatic volume of cirrhosis patients in Child A, B level was not reduced, but in Child C level it was significantly reduced with the lowest liver volume index (CTLV/SLV). Likewise, in the death group of ALF patients, the volume index was significantly lower than that of the survival group. Based on volumetric study, we proposed an ROC (receiver operating characteristic) analysis to predict the prognosis of ALF patients that CTLV/SLV<83.9% indicates a poor prognosis. In conclusion, the CTLV/SLV ratio, which reflects liver volume variations, correlates well with the liver function and progression of cirrhosis and ALF. It is also a very useful marker for predicting the prognosis of ALF.

Pareto lexicographic α-robust approach and its application in robust multi objective assembly line balancing

摘要:

Robustness in most of the literature is associated with min-max or min-max regret criteria. However, these criteria of robustness are conservative and therefore recently new criteria called, lexicographic α-robust method has been introduced in literature which defines the robust solution as a set of solutions whose quality or jth largest cost is not worse than the best possible jth largest cost in all scenarios. These criteria might be significant for robust optimization of single objective optimization problems. However, in real optimization problems, two or more than two conflicting objectives are desired to optimize concurrently and solution of multi objective optimization problems exists in the form of a set of solutions called Pareto solutions and from these solutions it might be difficult to decide which Pareto solution can satisfy min-max, min-max regret or lexicographic α-robust criteria by considering multiple objectives simultaneously. Therefore, lexicographic α-robust method which is a recently introduced method in literature is extended in the current research for Pareto solutions. The proposed method called Pareto lexicographic α-robust approach can define Pareto lexicographic α-robust solutions from different scenarios by considering multiple objectives simultaneously. A simple example and an application of the proposed method on a simple problem of multi objective optimization of simple assembly line balancing problem with task time uncertainty is presented to get their robust solutions. The presented method can be significant to implement on different multi objective robust optimization problems containing uncertainty.

Target-oriented robust optimization of a microgrid system investment model

摘要:

An emerging alternative solution to address energy shortage is the construction of a microgrid system. This paper develops a mixed-integer linear programming microgrid investment model considering multi-period and multi-objective investment setups. It further investigates the effects of uncertain demand by using a target-oriented robust optimization (TORO) approach. The model was validated and analyzed by subjecting it in different scenarios. As a result, it is seen that there are four factors that affect the decision of the model: cost, budget, carbon emissions, and useful life. Since the objective of the model is to maximize the net present value (NPV) of the system, the model would choose to prioritize the least cost among the different distribution energy resources (DER). The effects of load uncertainty was observed through the use of Monte Carlo simulation. As a result, the deterministic model shows a solution that might be too optimistic and might not be achievable in real life situations. Through the application of TORO, a profile of solutions is generated to serve as a guide to the investors in their decisions considering uncertain demand. The results show that pessimistic investors would have lower NPV targets since they would invest more in storage facilities, incurring more electricity stock out costs. On the contrary, an optimistic investor would tend to be aggressive in buying electricity generating equipment to meet most of the demand, however risking more storage stock out costs.

摘要: This article describes the development of an flexure-based micromanipulator, with the features of decoupled kinematic structure, large motion range, high positioning precision, and fast response. The large motion range of flexure mechanisms is quantified by a given definition. Based on the given definition, large motion is achieved in the mechanical design of the -flexure parallel mechanism (FPM). To ensure high positioning precision and fast dynamic response, a hybrid control algorithm with both position control and vibration control are designed, using the H -theory. The controller strongly solves the three common problems of flexure mechanisms simultaneously, including unmodeled uncertainties, the external disturbances and vibration caused by inherent low damping.

Shape design of arch dams under load uncertainties with robust optimization

摘要: Due to an increased need in hydro-electricity, water storage, and flood protection, it is assumed that a series of new dams will be build throughout the world. The focus of this paper is on the non-probabilistic-based design of new arch-type dams by applying means of robust design optimization (RDO). This type of optimization takes into account uncertainties in the loads and in the material properties of the structure. As classical procedures of probabilistic-based optimization under uncertainties, such as RDO and reliability-based design optimization (RBDO), are in general computationally expensive and rely on estimates of the system’s response variance, we will not follow a full-probabilistic approach but work with predefined confidence levels. This leads to a bi-level optimization program where the volume of the dam is optimized under the worst combination of the uncertain parameters. As a result, robust and reliable designs are obtained and the result is independent from any assumptions on stochastic properties of the random variables in the model. The optimization of an arch-type dam is realized here by a robust optimization method under load uncertainty, where hydraulic and thermal loads are considered. The load uncertainty is modeled as an ellipsoidal expression. Comparing with any traditional deterministic optimization method, which only concerns the minimum objective value and offers a solution candidate close to limit-states, the RDO method provides a robust solution against uncertainty. To reduce the computational cost, a ranking strategy and an approximation model are further involved to do a preliminary screening. By this means, the robust design can generate an improved arch dam structure that ensures both safety and serviceability during its lifetime.

摘要: The aim of this article is to explore the effect of arsenic trioxide (AsO) on the proliferation and apoptosis of myeloma cell line U266 and its relationship with the expression variation of vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF). The viability and apoptosis of U266 cells were observed by methylthiazolyl- tetrazolium (MTT) assay and terminal-deoxynucleotidyl transferase mediated nick end labeling (TUNEL). The effect of AsO on the VEGF expression of U266 cells were tested by enzyme linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) and reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) analysis. We found that AsO could significantly inhibit the growth of U266 cells, and the concentration for 50% growth inhibition (IC) was 2 ?mol/L. After treatment with 2, 5, 10 ?mol/L AsO for 36 hours, dose-dependent apoptosis of U266 cells was observed. After treatment with 2, 5, 10 ?mol/L AsO for 72 hours, a dose-dependent reduction of VEGF in the supernatant of U266 cells culture was found. As far as single cells are concerned, nevertheless, the expression of VEGF mRNA did not vary. So we draw the conclusion that AsO could induce the apoptosis of U266 cells and inhibit their proliferation, decrease the tumor load, and lead to the reduction of VEGF in the culture supernatant, but not change the expression of VEGF in single U266 cells.

Reliability-based robust design optimization of vehicle components, Part I: Theory

摘要:

The reliability-based design optimization, the reliability sensitivity analysis and robust design method are employed to present a practical and effective approach for reliability-based robust design optimization of vehicle components. A procedure for reliability-based robust design optimization of vehicle components is proposed. Application of the method is illustrated by reliability-based robust design optimization of axle and spring. Numerical results have shown that the proposed method can be trusted to perform reliability-based robust design optimization of vehicle components.

Temporal variation of heavy metal pollution in urban stormwater runoff

摘要: Stormwater runoff from three types of urban surfaces, a parking lot, a street, and a building roof, was monitored during four rainfall events that occurred in the one-year period from June 2009 to June 2010. The event mean concentrations (EMC) of dissolved copper (Cu), lead (Pb), zinc (Zn), manganese (Mn), and iron (Fe) exceeded China’s National Water Quality Standards for Surface Water. The degree of heavy metal contamination was related to the type of underlying surfaces. Additionally, the concentration of dissolved heavy metals peaked shortly after the runoff began and then declined sharply as a result of adequate flushing. First flush effects of varying degrees were also observed during all of the monitored rainfall events based on the first flush ratio ( ). Redundancy analysis revealed that four environmental variables (rainfall depth, intensity, antecedent dry weather period and type of underlying surface) had significant effects on the strengths of the first flush effects, accounting for 72.9% of the variation in the . Dissolved metals presented varying first flush effects on different underlying surfaces that occurred in the following relative order: parking lot>roof>road for low intensity and high runoff volume rainfall events; parking lot>road>roof for high intensity and low runoff volume events. The relative strength of the first flush for dissolved heavy metals was Fe, Mn>Cu, Zn>Pb.

Analytical approach to robust design of nonlinear mechanical systems

摘要: The robustness of mechanical systems is influenced by various factors. Their effects must be understood for designing robust systems. This paper proposes a model for describing the relationships among functional requirements, structural characteristics, design parameters and uncontrollable variables of nonlinear systems. With this model, the sensitivity of systems was analyzed to formulate a system sensitivity index and robust sensitivity matrix to determine the importance of the factors in relation to the robustness of systems. Based on the robust design principle, an optimization model was developed. Combining this optimization model and the Taguchi method for robust design, an analysis was carried out to reveal the characteristics of the systems. For a nonlinear mechanical system, relationships among structural characteristics of the system, design parameters, and uncontrollable variables can be formulated as a mathematical function. The characteristics of the system determine how design parameters affect the functional requirements of the system. Consequently, they affect the distribution of system performance functions. Nonlinearity of the system can facilitate the selection of design parameters to achieve the required functional requirements.

Reliability-based robust design optimization of vehicle components, Part II: Case studies

摘要:

The reliability-based optimization, the reliability-based sensitivity analysis and robust design method are employed to propose an effective approach for reliability-based robust design optimization of vehicle components in Part I. Applications of the method are further discussed for reliability-based robust optimization of vehicle components in this paper. Examples of axles,torsion bar, coil and composite springs are illustrated for numerical investigations. Results have shown the proposed method is an efficient method for reliability-based robust design optimization of vehicle components.

Two-stage stochastic programming with robust constraints for the logistics network post-disruption response

摘要: Logistics networks (LNs) are essential for the transportation and distribution of goods or services from suppliers to consumers. However, LNs with complex structures are more vulnerable to disruptions due to natural disasters and accidents. To address the LN post-disruption response strategy optimization problem, this study proposes a novel two-stage stochastic programming model with robust delivery time constraints. The proposed model jointly optimizes the new-line-opening and rerouting decisions in the face of uncertain transport demands and transportation times. To enhance the robustness of the response strategy obtained, the conditional value at risk (CVaR) criterion is utilized to reduce the operational risk, and robust constraints based on the scenario-based uncertainty sets are proposed to guarantee the delivery time requirement. An equivalent tractable mixed-integer linear programming reformulation is further derived by linearizing the CVaR objective function and dualizing the infinite number of robust constraints into finite ones. A case study based on the practical operations of the JD LN is conducted to validate the practical significance of the proposed model. A comparison with the rerouting strategy and two benchmark models demonstrates the superiority of the proposed model in terms of operational cost, delivery time, and loading rate.
