Flexible micro flow sensor for micro aerial vehicles

Frontiers of Mechanical Engineering 2017, Volume 12, Issue 4,   Pages 539-545 doi: 10.1007/s11465-017-0427-0

Abstract:

This article summarizes our studies on micro flow sensors fabricated on a flexible polyimide circuit board by a low-cost hybrid process of thin-film deposition and circuit printing. The micro flow sensor has merits of flexibility, structural simplicity, easy integrability with circuits, and good sensing performance. The sensor, which adheres to an object surface, can detect the surface flow around the object. In our study, we install the fabricated micro flow sensors on micro aerial vehicles (MAVs) to detect the surface flow variation around the aircraft wing and deduce the aerodynamic parameters of the MAVs in flight. Wind tunnel experiments using the sensors integrated with the MAVs are also conducted.

Outdoor aging of road asphalt and SBS modified asphalt

Frontiers of Chemical Science and Engineering 2011, Volume 5, Issue 1,   Pages 35-42 doi: 10.1007/s11705-010-0551-4

Abstract: The process of performance degradation of road asphalt (RA) is regarded as aging. At present, better understanding of the thermal-oxidative aging of asphalt is achieved and the corresponding method to evaluate this process is developed; meanwhile, photo-oxidative aging (aging in an atmospheric environment, which is referred to as “outdoor aging” in this paper) of asphalt remains at the initial stages of scientific exploration. The outdoor natural ultraviolet (UV) aging of RA and SBS modified asphalt (SBSMA) are investigated in this study. The experimental results show that the basic performances of RA and SBSMA present similar change tendencies. The softening point increased, while the penetration and ductility decreased as the outdoor aging time passed by, and the 5°C ductility (ductility measured at 5°C) of SBSMA decreased very quickly. The group components of RA and SBSMA also change during UV aging. The content of asphaltene rose and that of aromatics and saturates decreased, while the content of resins changed insignificantly. Moreover, the Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) graphs show that the content of sulfoxide and carbonyl groups in RA and SBSMA increased significantly during the outdoor aging process.

Strategic Study of CAE 2016, Volume 18, Issue 3,   Pages 79-84 doi: 10.15302/J-SSCAE-2016.03.013

Abstract:

Modern marine ranching, as a novel fishery production mode, will play an important role in the transformation and up-grade of marine fishery industry in China. This paper presents the status and problems in construction of the modern marine ranching in China through the systematic collation of relevant literature and the combination of the latest research progress, and then puts forward the development strategy from two aspects: the key technology, administration measures.

Strategic Study of CAE 2008, Volume 10, Issue 3,   Pages 44-53

Abstract:

The development of industry of uranium mining and metallurgy in China has been reviewed generally, emphasizing investigation approaches and application levels of uranium mining technologies such as in-situ leaching and heap leaching, stope leaching. On the basis of analysis on status of uranium mining and metallurgy and problems are existed, also considering the specific features of deposit resources, the development orientation of uranium mining and metallurgy in China is pointed out. The industry of China uranium mining and metallurgy is faced to new opportunity of development and challenge in 21th century, and the only way to realize sustainable development of uranium mining and metallurgy and harmonious development between economy and environment is to develop new technology on mining, ore beneficiation and metallurgy, increase the utilization level of uranium resources and low down impact on environment caused by mining and metallurgy.
