Frontiers of Chemical Science and Engineering 2018, Volume 12, Issue 1,   Pages 184-193 doi: 10.1007/s11705-017-1678-3

Abstract: Curcumin is a hydrophobic polyphenol compound exhibiting a wide range of biological activities such asIn this work, a swirl mixer was employed to produce the micronized curcumin with polyvinylpyrrolidone(PVP) by the supercritical anti-solvent process to improve the bioavailability of curcumin. The result shows that the optimal condition for the production of curcumin/PVP particles is at curcuminMoreover, the dissolution of curcumin/PVP particles is faster than that of raw curcumin.

Frontiers of Chemical Science and Engineering 2016, Volume 10, Issue 3,   Pages 383-388 doi: 10.1007/s11705-016-1574-2

Abstract: Curcumin, considered to possess multi-faceted roles in cancer treatment according to its multiple anti-neoplasticare acting on different cell pathways and a typical anticancer drug doxorubicin, were combined with curcuminResults revealed that sunitinib combined with curcumin at the molar ratio of 0.46 yielded the most potent

Establishment and drug sensitivity evaluation of murine ascites hepatocarcinoma cell line with high lymphatic metastatic potential (Hca-P/L

Hongying ZHANG, Jianwu TANG, Wenting ZHU, Chunxiu HU, Guowang XU

Frontiers of Medicine 2009, Volume 3, Issue 2,   Pages 119-129 doi: 10.1007/s11684-009-0022-9

Abstract: After pretreatment by curcumin at the maximum non-cytotoxic dose of 15 μmol/L , the effect of curcuminCurcumin had significant growth inhibiting effect on both murine ascites and human hepatocarcinoma cellAt concentrations of 30-120 μmol/L, curcumin had more inhibition on murine ascites hepatocarcinoma cellAt concentrations of 60-240 μmol/L, curcumin had more inhibition on Hca-P/L with (the 50% inhibitoryHca-P/L was validated to be more sensitive to curcumin than Hca-P.
