能源是经济持续快速增长的动力和保障。以煤为主的能源结构短期不会改变，为适应国民经济又好又快发展的要求，煤炭产业的发展面临历史选择。笔者分析了我国煤炭产业发展取得的成绩、呈现的特点和规律以及面临的困扰，探索未来可持续发展的方向。从产业模式、产业技术和产业路径上形成新的突破、创造新的机遇，符合加快转变经济发展方式的要求，有利于实现科学发展。

Energy is the engine and security for sustainable and rapid development of economic growth. The energy structure based on coal won't change in short term, and to meet the requirement for the rapid and sound development of national economy, coal industry will face a historic choice. By analyzing achievements, characteristics, rules and troubles of Chinese coal industry, this article tries to explore the future direction for sustainable development, make a breakthrough and create new opportunities in the industrial pattern, technology and path to adapt to the transformation of economic development and realize scientific development.
