Design, synthesis and HIV-RT inhibitory activity of novel thiazolidin-4-one derivatives

摘要: A series of 2-aryl-3-(4,5,6-trimethylpyrimidin-2-yl) thiazolidin-4-ones ( – ) and their derivatives bearing a lipophilic substituent, like acetoxy group ( – ), propionyloxy group ( – ), methyl ( and ) at C-5 on thiazolidin-4-one ring were designed, synthesized and evaluated for their HIV-RT inhibitory activity. Using self-catalyzed Pummerer reaction, compounds – and – were obtained in good yield (63.1% 75.2%). Preliminary anti-HIV-RT test of these derivatives indicated that compounds – , (propionyloxy group at C-5) showed moderate HIV-RT inhibitory activity and compounds and with methyl at C-5 showed a weak HIV-RT inhibitory activity. Structure activity relationship analysis suggested that the substituted groups on C-5 would be unfavorable to anti-HIV-RT activity and that the steric effect might play a critical role in the anti-HIV RT activity.

摘要: 2-aryl-3-(naphthalene-1 or 2-yl)-1,3-thiazolidin-4-ones and were synthesized in 41%-67% yield by using microwave-assisted one-pot protocol. The structures of the new compounds , , , , , , and - were confirmed by IR, NMR, MS, and elemental analysis. The antimicrobial activities of the compounds against pv. lachrymans (Smith et Bryan) Young, Dye & Wilkie, Pers., and Blum. were examined. Some of the compounds showed good antifungical activity against Blum.

Hyperbranched azo polyurethane synthesized through A + B scheme

摘要: A hyperbranched azo polyurethane was synthesized by one-step polymerization of an A type monomer diphenylmethane-4,4′-diisocyanate and a B type monomer 4-(N,N′-bis(2-hydroxyethyl))amino-2′-hydroxyethoxyl-4′-nitro-azobenzene. The azo polymer was characterized by H nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR), ultraviolet-visible (UV-Vis) spectrum and thermal analysis. The of the polymer in dimethylformamide (DMF) solution is 488 nm. The number average molecular weight (M) determined by GPC is 9,300 with a polydispersion index 1.9. The glass transition temperature () of the polymer is 131°C observed from DSC thermogram. The results show that the azo polyurethane has been successfully synthesized through this scheme. Surface-relief-gratings (SRGs) were fabricated on the polymer film after being irradiated by interference pattern of Ar laser beams for 1,000 s. The surface modulation depth and the grating space period measured by AMF are 67 and 770 nm, respectively.

An Internet-of-Things Initiative for One Belt One Road (OBOR)

摘要: A wide range of industrial Internet of Things (IoT) applications have been developed and deployed in recent years. IoT has provided a promising opportunity to build powerful industrial systems and applications by leveraging the growing ubiquity of RFID, wireless, mobile and sensor devices. In an effort to understand the development of IoT in industries, this paper reviews the current research of IoT, key enabling technologies, major IoT applications in industries, and identifies research trends and challenges. As IoT has received support from governments and businesses across the globe, IoT will also greatly impact One Belt One Road (OBOR) in foreseeable future.

摘要:

为了研究北极冰融加速环境下我国开展北极航线商业通航的价值意义,本文通过对传统航线与北极航线的成本效益比较分析,运用制度分析法考察了北极航线利用所面临的严峻挑战。提出北极航线开发利用应当纳入“一带一路”战略规划之中,北极航线可以成为延伸丝绸之路经济带的海上通道、21世纪海上丝绸之路的拓展航线、对外经贸网络不可或缺的组成部分,“一带一路”战略不应忽视开发利用北极航线的战略价值。

One-step synthesis of

摘要: A simple and efficient approach for the synthesis of -caprolactam via the liquid phase nitrosation of cyclohexane and nitrosyl sulfuric acid in the presence of concentrated sulfuric acid has been developed. A series of novel AlVPO composites were prepared by an impregnation method and the composites were then employed to catalyze the nitrosation reaction of cyclohexane and nitrosyl sulfuric acid. Compared to the reaction using fuming sulfuric acid, the selectivity for the desired product was significantly improved using this one-step catalytic process. This method affords a shortcut to prepare -caprolactam and its analogs from cyclohexane.

Validation of a steel dual-core self-centering brace (DC-SCB) for seismic resistance: from brace member to one-storyone-bay braced frame tests

摘要: A steel dual-core self-centering brace (DC-SCB) is an innovative structural member that provides both energy dissipation and self-centering properties to structures, reducing maximum and residual drifts of structures in earthquakes. The axial deformation capacity of the DC-SCB is doubled by a parallel arrangement of two inner cores, one outer box and two sets of tensioning elements. This paper presents cyclic test results of a DC-SCB component and a full-scale one-story, one-bay steel frame with a DC-SCB. The DC-SCB that was near 8 m-long was tested to evaluate its cyclic behavior and durability. The DC-SCB performed well under a total of three increasing cyclic loading tests and 60 low-cycle fatigue loading tests without failure. The maximum axial load of the DC-SCB was near 1700 kN at an interstory drift of 2.5%. Moreover, a three-story dual-core self-centering braced frame (DC-SCBF) with a single-diagonal DC-SCB was designed and its first-story, one-bay DC-SCBF subassembly specimen was tested in multiple earthquake-type loadings. The one-story, one-bay subassembly frame specimen performed well up to an interstory drift of 2% with yielding at the column base and local buckling in the steel beam; no damage of the DC-SCB was found after all tests. The maximum residual drift of the DC-SCBF caused by beam local buckling was 0.5% in 2.0% drift cycles.

Talin and kindlin: the one-two punch in integrin activation

摘要:

Proper cell-cell and cell-matrix contacts mediated by integrin adhesion receptors are important for development, immune response, hemostasis and wound healing. Integrins pass trans-membrane signals bidirectionally through their regulated affinities for extracellular ligands and intracellular signaling molecules. Such bidirectional signaling by integrins is enabled by the conformational changes that are often linked among extracellular, transmembrane and cytoplasmic domains. Here, we review how talin-integrin and kindlin-integrin interactions, in cooperation with talin-lipid and kindlin-lipid interactions, regulate integrin affinities and how the progress in these areas helps us understand integrin-related diseases.

All-in-one functional supramolecular nanoparticles based on pillar[5]arene for controlled generation,

摘要: The storage and controlled release of singlet oxygen (1O2) have attracted increasing attention due to the wide application and microsecond lifetime of 1O2 in water. Herein we provide an integrated nanoplatform consisting of a diphenylanthracene derivative, a water-soluble pillar[5]arene and a photosensitizer tetrakis(4-hydroxyphenyl)porphyrin (TPP), that may provide the controlled generation, storage and release of singlet oxygen. We design a new diphenylanthracene derivative with two trimethylammonium bromide groups on both ends that can be well recognized by the pillar[5]arene. The formed nanocarriers can be used to load TPP through their supramolecular self-assembly. The resulting nanoparticles show good water-solubility and uniform spherical morphology. After laser irradiation (660 nm), the nanoparticles exhibit excellent ability for the generation and storage of 1O2. When the irradiated nanoparticles are heated above 80 °C, 1O2 can be released from the system. Therefore, in this paper we pioneer the use of noncovalent interaction to integrate the diphenylanthracene derivatives and photosensitizers into one functional system, which provides a new strategy for the controlled generation, storage and release of singlet oxygen. We believe this groundbreaking strategy will have a great potential in providing necessary amounts of 1O2 for the photodynamic therapy of tumors in dark.

One-step synthesis of recoverable CuCo

摘要: A facile one-step hydrothermal method has been adopted to directly synthesize the CuCo S material on the surface of Ni foam. Due to the relatively large specific surface area and wide pore size distribution, the CuCo S material not only effectively increases the reactive area, but also accommodates more side reaction products to avoid the difficulty of mass transfer. When evaluated as anode for Li-ion batteries, the CuCo S material exhibits excellent electrochemical performance including high discharge capacity, outstanding cyclic stability and good rate performance. At the current density of 200 mA·g , the CuCo S material shows an extremely high initial discharge capacity of 2510 mAh·g , and the cycle numbers of the material even reach 83 times when the discharge capacity is reduced to 500 mAh·g . Furthermore, the discharge capacity can reach 269 mAh·g at a current of 2000 mA·g . More importantly, when the current density comes back to 200 mA·g , the discharge capacity could be recovered to 1436 mAh·g , suggesting an excellent capacity recovery characteristics.

concentration of carboxymethyl cellulose on morphology of hydroxyapatite nanoparticles as prepared with one-step

摘要: Nano-sized apatite particles (nAP) synthesized with carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC) have shown great application potentials in in situ heavy metal remediation. However, differences in CMC’s properties effects on the size of nAP produced are not well understood. In this paper, two types of CMC, with respective molecular weights (MW) of ~120000 and ~240000 Dalton or respective polymerization degrees of 500 (CMC-500) and 1050 (CMC-1050), were studied in a concentration range of 0.05%–0.5% (w/w) for nAP synthesis. Morphology of the particles was characterized with transmission electron microscopy (TEM). Results showed that 0.05% CMC-500 solution gave an average particle size of 148.7±134.9 nm, 0.25% CMC-500 solution produced particles of 21.8±20.4 nm, and, 0.5% CMC-500 solution contained particles of 15.8±7.7 nm. In comparison, 0.05% CMC-1050 solution produced nanoparticles of 6.8±3.2 nm, 0.25% CMC-1050 produced smaller nAP of 4.3±3.2 nm, and 0.5% CMC-1050 synthesized the smallest nanoparticles in this study, with an average diameter of 3.0±2.1 nm. Chemical composition of the products was identified with X-ray diffraction (XRD) as pure hydroxyapatite. Interactions between nAP and CMC were discussed with help of attenuated total reflection Fourier transform infrared (ATR-FTIR) spectroscopic data. This study showed that CMC at higher concentration as well as higher MW facilitated to produce finer nanoparticles, showing that nAP size could be manipulated by selecting appropriate CMC MW and/or applying appropriate CMC concentration.

Hierarchical porous carbon derived from one-step self-activation of zinc gluconate for symmetric supercapacitors

摘要: Porous carbons with high specific area surfaces are promising electrode materials for supercapacitors. However, their production usually involves complex, time-consuming, and corrosive processes. Hence, a straightforward and effective strategy is presented for producing highly porous carbons via a self-activation procedure utilizing zinc gluconate as the precursor. The volatile nature of zinc at high temperatures gives the carbons a large specific surface area and an abundance of mesopores, which avoids the use of additional activators and templates. Consequently, the obtained porous carbon electrode delivers a satisfactory specific capacitance and outstanding cycling durability of 90.9% after 50000 cycles at 10 A∙g–1. The symmetric supercapacitors assembled by the optimal electrodes exhibit an acceptable rate capability and a distinguished cycling stability in both aqueous and ionic liquid electrolytes. Accordingly, capacitance retention rates of 77.8% and 85.7% are achieved after 50000 cycles in aqueous alkaline electrolyte and 10000 cycles in ionic liquid electrolyte. Moreover, the symmetric supercapacitors deliver high energy/power densities of 49.8 W∙h∙kg–1/2477.8 W∙kg–1 in the Et4NBF4 electrolyte, outperforming the majority of previously reported porous carbon-based symmetric supercapacitors in ionic liquid electrolytes.

In the mechanized harvest of vines, grape berries are detached through the vibration to the structure supporting the clusters. According to the kind of guide selected, the clusters require one or two vibration directions in the structure. For guiding in parral structures, vibration is necessary in two directions or planes: One perpendicular to the other. The guide branches producing the clusters develop in these planes, and the guiding is called H-guiding. Mechanism theory indicates that a mechanism has as many degrees of freedom as its actuators, and an actuator is needed to achieve a certain vibration. Having the smallest number of possible actuators is beneficial in reducing moving parts and achieving more compact and easily controllable mecha-nisms. In this case, a single degree-of-freedom mechanism is proposed. It is capable of generating vibrations on two planes: One perpendicular to the other. This mechanism is the sum of two link mechanisms on perpendicular planes with a common outlet located at the output rod of the mechanism where the actuator is found. As the distance between the soil and the elements containing the clusters is not constant, a system has been designed to measure the accelerations at the bars and the rocker to validate the acceleration values that detach the grape berries in a prototype in a lab experiment, to ensure that the acceleration needed for pulling the grape berries are produced at any contact point of the bar.
