Strategic Study of CAE 2002, Volume 4, Issue 10,   Pages 31-35

Abstract:

Resources are the basis for the sustainable development of a country.and establish resources recycling gradually.Resources recycling is a law, and also an only road for human being living in harmony with nature andNatural resources exploitation is closely related to environment pollution.Building a society of resources recycling is a system engineering.

Energy storage resources management: Planning, operation, and business model

Frontiers of Engineering Management   Pages 373-391 doi: 10.1007/s42524-022-0194-4

Abstract: With the acceleration of supply-side renewable energy penetration rate and the increasingly diversified and complex demand-side loads, how to maintain the stable, reliable, and efficient operation of the power system has become a challenging issue requiring investigation. One of the feasible solutions is deploying the energy storage system (ESS) to integrate with the energy system to stabilize it. However, considering the costs and the input/output characteristics of ESS, both the initial configuration process and the actual operation process require efficient management. This study presents a comprehensive review of managing ESS from the perspectives of planning, operation, and business model. First of all, in terms of planning and configuration, it is investigated from capacity planning, location planning, as well as capacity and location combined planning. This process is generally the first step in deploying ESS. Then, it explores operation management of ESS from the perspectives of state assessment and operation optimization. The so-called state assessment refers to the assessment of three aspects: The state of charge (SOC), the state of health (SOH), and the remaining useful life (RUL). The operation optimization includes ESS operation strategy optimization and joint operation optimization. Finally, it discusses the business models of ESS. Traditional business models involve ancillary services and load transfer, while emerging business models include electric vehicle (EV) as energy storage and shared energy storage.

Strategic Study of CAE 2010, Volume 12, Issue 5,   Pages 4-10

Abstract:

Until the middle of this century, Chinese oil&gas resources haveall kinds of new areas, new strata and new conceptions for hydrocarbon exploration. The undiscovered resourcesare still relatively abundant, although a large amount of oil and gas resources have been found. The oilA variety of ways should to be taken actively to share international energy resources, introduce andfully promote the conservation strategy for oil & gas and try our best to achieve oil & gas resources

China’s resources of biomass feedstock

Shi Yuanchun

Strategic Study of CAE 2011, Volume 13, Issue 2,   Pages 16-23

Abstract:

The data of organic wastes (including residues of crops and forests, animal excretion, agricultural and forestry processing, industrial wastes and municipal organic wastes) and marginal land (including suitable forestland, reclaimable wasteland, existed woodland and arable land) that suited to produce plants were systematically collected, sorted out and analyzed. The corresponding resource volume and available volume for economical harvesting were also put forward. According to the situation and potentiality of biomass products in 2007, it was concluded that the total productivity of China's biomass feedstock in a year equals to 932 million tce, with organic wastes and marginal land accounting for 41.1 % and 58.9 %, respectively. It was projected that to 2030, the annual potentials of biomass feedstock will be increased to 1 171 million tce, and the share of organic wastes and marginal land will be 48.3 % and 51.7 %,respectively.

Management strategies of marine food resources under multiple stressors with particular reference of

Qisheng TANG

Frontiers of Agricultural Science and Engineering 2014, Volume 1, Issue 1,   Pages 85-90 doi: 10.15302/J-FASE-2014021

Abstract:

In this study two main management strategies are discussed: one is to develop resource conservation-based capture fisheries, and the other is to develop environmentally friendly aquaculture. During the resource recovery period, the development of environmentally friendly aquaculture should be encouraged, especially in integrated multi-trophic aquaculture, which is adaptive, efficient and sustainable. For future development and better understanding the ecosystem, it is necessary to further strengthen basic research.

Planning projects with scarce resources: Yesterday, today and tomorrow’s research challenges

Mario VANHOUCKE

Frontiers of Engineering Management 2018, Volume 5, Issue 2,   Pages 133-149 doi: 10.15302/J-FEM-2018088

Abstract: This paper is an invited request to describe the main research challenges in the domain of resource-constrained project scheduling. The paper is split up in three parts. In today’s challenges, research endeavors that have received a significant, but still not enough, attention have been described. In tomorrow’s research challenges, some promising research avenues for future research have been given. Finally, in yesterday’s challenge, a research topic that started decades ago, is said to have still a huge potential in tomorrow’s research agenda. This paper does not intend to give a full literature overview, nor a summary of all possible research paths. Instead, it is inspired from the author’s experience in academic research and practical consultancy and it serves as a personal opinion on a non-exhaustive set of promising research avenues, rather than giving a full literature-based advice for future research directions.
