Optical Microscopy Advances Reach Sub-Nanometer Resolution

Highlights

A large team led by German scientists at the University of Göttingen has pushed optical microscopy past the milestone of single-nanometer resolution with a relatively inexpensive super-resolution microscopy (SRM) technique called one-step nanoscale expansion (ONE), reporting their work in late 2022.
