The problems and challenges caused by emerging contaminants in environment have gained great international concern in both developed and developing countries over the last decades, which have been the main driving forces for the rapid development of the control science and technology.

The special issue “Emerging Contaminants Control: Science and Technology” of Engineering welcomes submissions on the leading-edge technologies and the latest breakthroughs on the control of emerging contaminants.

Topics of interest:

This issue will publish original research papers, reviews, perspectives, and comments including but not limited to the following fields:

• Analytical method and occurrence in multiple environment of emerging contaminants

• Toxic effects and ecological risks of emerging contaminants

• Environmental behavior and degradation mechanism of emerging contaminants

• Alternative product/technology of emerging contaminants

• Disposal technology of waste containing emerging contaminants
