Call for Papers: Engineering (Special Issue on Tunneling & Underground Space)

Deadline for Paper Submission: March 31, 2017

Engineering is an international peer-reviewed academic journal sponsored by the Chinese Academy of Engineering. The journal is published on a bimonthly basis in English. Online versions are available through http://www.journals.elsevier.com/engineering/.

Tunneling & Underground Space, as one of the frontier areas attracting global researches and engineering efforts, has been selected as the 11th special issue for the journal Engineering 2017. This special issue seeks for the most leading researches and significant progresses on tunneling in the world. This issue will publish original papers including but not limited to the following fields:

Scope:

●  Theoretical and methodological study on tunnel Engineering (mechanized excavation, conventional method, immersed tube etc.)

  Survey, design and construction as well as challenges of major tunneling projects (rail tunnel, highway tunnel, hydraulic tunnel, urban metro etc.)

  Development and challenges of large underground space

  Risk management and disaster prevention

  Case studies on major or challenging projects

Paper Length:

6 pages in general.
