Call for Papers: High-Efficient Mining and Utilization of Deep Mineral Resources

Deadline for Paper Submission: March 31, 2017

Engineering is an international peer-reviewed academic journal sponsored by the Chinese Academy of Engineering. The journal is published on a bimonthly basis in English. Online versions are available through http://www.journals.elsevier.com/engineering/.

After many years mining, the shallow mineral resources are reducing year after year, and some of them have nearly been exhausted. High-Efficient Mining and Utilization of Deep Mineral Resources is one of the most pressing global issues nowadays, and gives the main approach to ensure the supply of the mineral resources in the whole world. When the mining is getting deeper and deeper, the in-situ stress and rock temperature values are greatly increased the geologic structures and burying condition of the ore bodies, the physical-mechanical properties of rock masses, the mining environment and conditions are seriously deteriorated. All of them make big difficulties for mining safety and recovery of mineral resources. In order to solve the difficult problems caused by deep mining conditions and realize High-Efficient Mining and Utilization of Deep Mineral Resources, it is necessary to broadly apply high new techniques of various subjects for developing advanced, non-traditional mining methods and techniques, innovating new mining modes with higher efficiency, lower production cost, less environmental pollution and whole process essential safety. Thus, this issue will publish original theoretical, researching and practicing papers in this area, including but not limited to the following topics:

Scope:

Deep rock mass mechanics and in-situ stress measurements

Multi-fields coupling disaster mechanism and its prediction and prevention

Strata control and support technology in deep mining

Safe and high-efficient mining theory and technology in deep levels

New mining theories, modes and optimization of mining system in deep levels

Remote-controlled intelligent mining technology in deep levels

Underground mining-mineral processing integration and comprehensive utilization of mineral resources

High efficient mineral processing technology and equipment of difficult-separating ore resources
