Shu-jian Sun, Tao Meng, Zhong-he Jin,sunshujian@zju.edu.cn,mengtao@zju.edu.cn

Frontiers of Information Technology & Electronic Engineering 2019, Volume 20, Issue 11,   Pages 1516-1529 doi: 10.1631/FITEE.1800068

Abstract: An ammonia propulsion (ASVP) system for s is presented. Compared with a normal cold gas or liquefied gas propulsion system, a multiplex parallel sieve type vaporizer and related vaporization control methods are put forward to achieve of liquefied propellant. The problems of high vaporization latent heat and incomplete vaporization of are solved, so that the ASVP system takes great advantage of high theoretical specific impulse and high propellant storage density. Furthermore, the ASVP operation procedure and its physical chemistry theories and mathematical models are thoroughly analyzed. An optimal strategy of thrust control is proposed with consideration of thrust performance and energy efficiency. The ground tests indicate that the ASVP system weighs 1.8 kg (with 0.34-kg propellant) and reaches a specific impulse of more than 100 s, while the power consumption is less than 10 W. The ASVP system meets multiple requirements including high specific impulse, low power consumption, easy fabrication, and uniform adjustable thrust output, and thus is suitable for s.

Strategic Study of CAE 2014, Volume 16, Issue 12,   Pages 46-51

Abstract:

Membrane separation technology is contemporarily a high and new technology in chemical engineering. It has been consequently developed rapidly in recent 30 years due to the availability of solving many serious problems, such as energy, resources and environment. Membrane separation technology of pervaporation as a novel separation technology is typically energy-saving and cleaner-production technology. Compared to the conventional azeotropicdistillation and extractive distillation applied to azeotropic systems, pervaporation process could lead to an energy saving of 1/3~1/2 and decrease operating costs even no less than 50 %. The industrial applications of the pervaporation dehydration over the world are introduced, and research progresses and industrial feasibilities of several pervaporation membranes are shown in this paper, which cover gasoline desulfurization membranes, methanol and ethanolpermselective membranes, dimerthyl carbonate/methanol and arene/alkane separation membranes.

Strategic Study of CAE 2023, Volume 25, Issue 5,   Pages 185-191 doi: 10.15302/J-SSCAE-2023.07.010

Abstract:

Air traffic is exhibiting the characteristics of large flow, strong coupling, and high time variation. To ensure its smooth, efficient, safe, and reliable operation, an intelligent model for air traffic management that features digitalization, automation, and collaboration needs to be developed. This study reviews the current and future demand for air traffic management and analyzes the challenges faced by traditional air traffic management from the aspects of traffic control, airspace management, and flow control. It also summarizes four basic scientific problems: interaction mechanism and mode between aircraft and air control infrastructure, air– ground coordinated control of aircraft intervals based on acceptable risks, airspace operation modeling and optimization considering multiple factors and based on non-uniform rules, and evolution mechanism and congestion propagation features of high-density air traffic flow. Moreover, it is suggested to integrate the application of satellite Internet, big data, digital twin, cloud computing, and other frontier technologies, and build an intelligent management technology system for air traffic from the aspects of aircraft, airspace, control decision-making, and operation, thereby laying a technical foundation for the construction of a next-eneration air traffic management system.

Gu Xuehong,Xu Nanping

Strategic Study of CAE 2014, Volume 16, Issue 12,   Pages 52-58

Abstract:

A seeding method by rubbing-dipcoating and induction with ball-milled seeds was developed to synthesize NaA zeolite membrane. The synthesis approach could improve the rate of qualified membranes and reduce the synthesis time efficiently, which is suitable for large-scale production of zeolite membranes. Mass transfer mechanism of organic solvent and water in a zeolite membrane was investigated with molecular simulation method. The stability of NaA zeolite membranes in hydrothermal,acid-base and salty environments was systematically studied. A pretreatment method was then proposed and industrial pervaporation plants were built up,which have been operated steadily for long term.

Studies on Autonomous Navigation Techniques for Navigation Constellations

Shuai Ping,Qu Guangji,Chen Zhonggui

Strategic Study of CAE 2006, Volume 8, Issue 3,   Pages 22-30

Abstract:

If the autonomous navigation techniques are applied to a navigation constellation, the number of the ground control stations, the message injecting frequency from the ground stations to satellites and system maintenance cost may be reduced significantly. Meanwhile, the integrity of navigation messages can be monitored in the real-time mode and the survivability of the navigation system also enhanced. The autonomous navigation will be gradually a main research subject for the next generation navigation satellite system. Firstly, the information processing flow of the autonomous navigation constellation is described systematically in this paper. Secondly, the key techniques to realize the autonomous navigation for the navigation constellation, including the long-term prediction of the ephemerides and clock parameters, establishment and maintenance for the cross measurement and communication links, autonomous time synchronization, autonomous ephemeris updating, robust filtering, establishment of the constellation rotation models, long-term prediction of the earth rotation and polar drift parameters, are presented as an important part of the paper. Moreover, the approaches to actualize the key techniques are analyzed and the relative mathematic models are also demonstrated in detail. Finally, the autonomous time synchronization and ephemeris updating are simulated. It is clearly shown from the simulated results that by processing the inter-satellite measurement data with the on-board Kalman filters and updating continually the clock parameters and ephemerides, the time synchronization and ephemeris updating among the satellites can be implemented autonomously and highly-accurately. Therefore, the reasonability and feasibility of the information processing flow and key technical algorithms for the autonomous navigation constellation are validated preliminarily.

Building Chinese Brand Parts System to Consolidate the Foundation of Automobile Power

Li Kaiguo,Deng Xiaozhi,Shen Bin and Wu Shengnan

Strategic Study of CAE 2018, Volume 20, Issue 1,   Pages 133-138 doi: 10.15302/J-SSCAE-2018.01.019

Abstract:

The automobile parts industry is the foundation of automobile power and is the main driving force promoting the development of the automobile industry. All automobile power countries have a strong parts industry. Now China is in a critical period of growing from a large automobile to automobile power, but it is difficult for the development of the parts industry to support the development of the automobile industry. Through the analysis of problems and opportunities for the development of China’s parts industry, we suggest building a complete independent parts system through strengthening the industrial base, expanding the scale of independent support, and cultivating leading companies to consolidate the development foundation and support the development of automobile power.

SESAR: The Past, Present, and Future of European Air Traffic Management Research Perspective

Tatjana Bolić, Paul Ravenhill

Engineering 2021, Volume 7, Issue 4,   Pages 448-451 doi: 10.1016/j.eng.2020.08.023

Abstract:

The Single European Sky ATM Research (SESAR) project is the technological pillar of the European Commission’s Single European Sky Initiative to modernize air traffic management (ATM). Here, we describe the process of establishing SESAR and the main parts of the project: the research and development (R&D) part, which is led by the SESAR Joint Undertaking; the deployment part, which is managed by the SESAR Deployment Manager; and the European ATM Master Plan, which collects and lays out both the R&D and deployment needs. The latest European ATM Master Plan was adopted just prior to the current pandemic. The huge loss in air traffic due to the pandemic, and the speed of the recovery of the aviation industry will require reprioritization, but the main elements that have been established—particularly those in support of the environment—remain valid.
