摘要: Diverse interactions between microwaves and irradiated media provide a solid foundation for identifying novel organization pathways for energy flow. In this study, a high-energy-site phenomenon and targeted-energy transition mechanism were identified in a particular microwave heating (MH) process. Intense discharges were observed when microwaves were imposed on irregularly sized SiC particles, producing tremendous heat that was 8-fold the amount generated in the discharge-free case. Energy efficiency was thereby greatly improved in the electricity-microwaves-effective heat transition. Meanwhile, the dispersed microwave field energy concentrated in small sites, where local temperatures could reach 2000°C– 4000°C, with the energy density reaching up to 4.0 × 105 W/kg. This can be called a high-energy site phenomenon which could induce further processes or reactions enhancement by coupling effects of heat, light, and plasma. The whole process, including microwave energy concentration and intense site-energy release, shapes a targeted-energy transition mechanism that can be optimized in a controlled manner through morphology design. In particular, the discharge intensity, frequency, and high-energy sites were strengthened through the fabrication of sharp nano/microstructures, conferring twice the energy efficiency of untreated metal wires. The microwave-induced high-energy sites and targeted energy transition provide an important pathway for high-efficiency energy deployment and may lead to promising applications.

Iterative HOEO fusion strategy: a promising tool for enhancing bearing fault feature

摘要: As parameter independent yet simple techniques, the energy operator (EO) and its variants have received considerable attention in the field of bearing fault feature detection. However, the performances of these improved EO techniques are subjected to the limited number of EOs, and they cannot reflect the non-linearity of the machinery dynamic systems and affect the noise reduction. As a result, the fault-related transients strengthened by these improved EO techniques are still subject to contamination of strong noises. To address these issues, this paper presents a novel EO fusion strategy for enhancing the bearing fault feature nonlinearly and effectively. Specifically, the proposed strategy is conducted through the following three steps. First, a multi-dimensional information matrix (MDIM) is constructed by performing the higher order energy operator (HOEO) on the analysis signal iteratively. MDIM is regarded as the fusion source of the proposed strategy with the properties of improving the signal-to-interference ratio and suppressing the noise in the low-frequency region. Second, an enhanced manifold learning algorithm is performed on the normalized MDIM to extract the intrinsic manifolds correlated with the fault-related impulses. Third, the intrinsic manifolds are weighted to recover the fault-related transients. Simulation studies and experimental verifications confirm that the proposed strategy is more effective for enhancing the bearing fault feature than the existing methods, including HOEOs, the weighting HOEO fusion, the fast Kurtogram, and the empirical mode decomposition.

A valveless piezoelectric pump with novel flow path design of function of rectification to improve energy

摘要: Existing valveless piezoelectric pumps are mostly based on the flow resistance mechanism to generate unidirectional fluid pumping, resulting in inefficient energy conversion because the majority of mechanical energy is consumed in terms of parasitic loss. In this paper, a novel tube structure composed of a Y-shaped tube and a ȹ-shaped tube was proposed considering theory of jet inertia and vortex dissipation for the first time to improve energy efficiency. After verifying its feasibility through the flow field simulation, the proposed tubes were integrated into a piezo-driven chamber, and a novel valveless piezoelectric pump with the function of rectification (NVPPFR) was reported. Unlike previous pumps, the reported pump directed the reflux fluid to another flow channel different from the pumping fluid, thus improving pumping efficiency. Then, mathematical modeling was established, including the kinetic analysis of vibrator, flow loss analysis of fluid, and pumping efficiency. Eventually, experiments were designed, and results showed that NVPPFR had the function of rectification and net pumping effect. The maximum flow rate reached 6.89 mL/min, and the pumping efficiency was up to 27%. The development of NVPPFR compensated for the inefficiency of traditional valveless piezoelectric pumps, broadening the application prospect in biomedicine and biology fields.

新时代西北地区推进能源革命的战略路径研究

摘要:

新时代,维护国家能源安全和应对气候变化已经成为能源高质量发展的重点。由宁夏宁东、内蒙古鄂尔多斯、陕西榆林组成的能源“金三角”和新疆等西北地区是我国能源资源典型富集区,承担了我国能源供应的重任,同时也因其生态环境的脆弱而面临着“大开发”与“大保护”统筹发展的难题。新时代下西北地区如何通过能源革命提升服务国家战略的能级和水平,是西北地区能源发展迫切需要回答的问题。本文在分析西北地区资源、产业和区域优势与挑战的基础上,结合能源革命要求,提出西北地区实施能源革命应战略定位于国家多能融合技术示范基地、国家煤制燃料战略储备基地和国家综合能源供应基地,多能融合是实现西北地区战略定位的有效路径。建议围绕化石能源清洁高效开发利用及耦合替代,可再生能源多能互补与规模应用和低碳化、智能化多能融合三条主线,推进六项融合示范举措,共同实现以多能融合为特征,以能源技术革命为引领的能源革命“西北方案”。

Digital microfluidics: A promising technique for biochemical applications

Digital microfluidics (DMF) is a versatile microfluidics technology that has significant application potential in the areas of automation and miniaturization. In DMF, discrete droplets containing samples and reagents are controlled to implement a series of operations via electrowetting-on-dielectric. This process works by applying electrical potentials to an array of electrodes coated with a hydrophobic dielectric layer. Unlike microchannels, DMF facilitates precise control over multiple reaction processes without using complex pump, microvalve, and tubing networks. DMF also presents other distinct features, such as portability, less sample consumption, shorter chemical reaction time, flexibility, and easier combination with other technology types. Due to its unique advantages, DMF has been applied to a broad range of fields (e.g., chemistry, biology, medicine, and environment). This study reviews the basic principles of droplet actuation, configuration design, and fabrication of the DMF device, as well as discusses the latest progress in DMF from the biochemistry perspective.

Engineering the grain boundary: a promising strategy to configure NiCoPO/NiCoP nanowire arrays for ultra-stable

摘要: NiCoP4O12/NiCoP nanorod-like arrays with tunable grain boundary density and pores were synthesized by the processes composed of hydrothermal and pyrolysis, in which, the electron structure of Ni and Co atoms characterized by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy was contemporaneous inverse manipulated. The optimized NiCoP4O12/NiCoP arrays have a high specific capacitance of 507.8 μAh∙cm–2 at 1 mA∙cm–2, and good rate ability of 64.7% retention at 30-folds increased current density. Importantly, an ultra-stable ability, 88.5% of retention after 10000 cycles, was achieved in an asymmetric cell assembled of the NiCoP4O12/NiCoP arrays with activated carbon. In addition, the energy and power densities of an asymmetric cell were higher than those of other work, demonstrating as-prepared NiCoP4O12/NiCoP arrays are promising electrodes for supercapacitors.

Discovery of cryptolepine derivatives as novel promising agents against phytopathogenic bacteria

摘要: To ensure the production of food crops, a series of cryptolepine derivatives were synthesised, after which their antibacterial activities and mechanism of action against three plant pathogens were investigated. Our bioassay results indicated that most of the target compounds displayed potent inhibitory effects against Xanthomonas oryzae (X. oryzae) and Xanthomonas axonopodis pv. citri (X. axonopodis pv. c.). Remarkably, compound 9 exhibited the best in vitro antibacterial activity against X. oryzae, with a minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) value of 0.78 μg·mL–1. Compound 2 exhibited the best in vitro antibacterial activity against X. axonopodis pv. c., with an MIC value of 0.39 μg·mL–1. These activities were superior to those of copper quinolate (MIC = 6.25, 25 μg·mL–1) and thiodiazole copper (MIC = 100, 200 μg·mL–1) against X. oryzae and X. axonopodis pv. c. In vivo experiments demonstrated the promising applicability of compound 9 for the control of rice bacterial infections. Furthermore, compound 9 was selected as a candidate to conduct preliminary analyses of the antibacterial mechanisms of cryptolepine derivatives. Scanning electron microscopy and transmission electron microscopy observations, extracellular polysaccharide production, biofilm formation, transcriptomic, quantitative reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction analyses, and molecular docking assays were performed. Collectively, our findings demonstrated that compound 9 might act via multifarious mechanisms to down-regulate virulence factors and cause cell death.

摘要: Due to a worldwide focus on sustainable materials for human health and economy services, more and more natural renewable biomass are regarded as promising materials that could replace synthetic polymers and reduce global dependence on petroleum resources. Cellulose is known as the most abundant renewable polymer in nature, varieties of cellulose-based products have been developed and have gained growing interest in recent years. In this review, a kind of water-soluble cellulose derivative, i.e., sodium cellulose sulfate (NaCS) is introduced. Details about NaCS’s physicochemical properties like solubility, biocompatibility, biodegradability, degree of substitution, etc. are systematically elaborated. And promising applications of NaCS used as biomaterials for microcarriers’ designing, such as micro-cell-carriers, micro-drug-carriers, etc., are presented.

我国能源绿色开发利用路径研究

能源绿色开发利用是贯彻落实能源安全新战略和加快新时代生态文明建设的重要任务。为推进能源生产和消费革命,本文从我国能源发展现状与存在的问题出发,在阐述能源绿色开发利用的内涵和发展原则的基础上,构建了能源绿色开发评价模型和能源利用系统评价指标模型,对能源绿色开发利用的经济效益和环境效益进行评价,预测了我国面向2030 年、2050 年的能源绿色开发利用发展目标。研究指出,我国能源绿色开发利用的实施路径可着重从两方面展开:在能源布局方面,开展化石能源的清洁高效开发利用,清洁能源的规模化开发利用和能源系统的智能化,重点实施绿色煤炭工程、稳油增气工程和加强能源集约化、节约化利用;在科技创新方面,从加强对煤炭安全高效、清洁低碳利用的科技攻关,加快攻克深层深水和非常规油气勘探开发关键技术,推进清洁能源规模化开发利用的科技创新等5 方面推进。为构建清洁低碳、安全高效的能源体系,本文从能源管理体制创新、能源价格市场化机制形成、能源绿色开发利用考核、能源绿色开发利用科技创新体系等方面提出了对策建议。

西北地区能源生产消费特征与发展路径研究

西北地区能源资源富集,但存在着能源效率低下、能源结构失配等严峻问题;评估能源发展水平并针对性地设计能源 发展路径,对保障西北地区能源安全、提升发展质量具有重要价值。本文从西北地区发展实际出发,深入剖析了区域的能源生产消费水平特征,明晰了能源发展面临的突出问题;综合采用灰色预测方法、多元回归方法预测了2023—2030年的能源发展水平,据此完成了西北地区能源发展路径设计。研究表明,近年来西北地区的能源结构不断优化,可再生能源生产消费水平持续上升,但生产消费比例仍然远低于传统能源,经济、产业、技术问题对能源发展的影响不容忽视。为此建议,以传统能源与新能源相互融合为发展方向,采取持续推进供给革命、消费革命、技术革命、体制革命、交流合作等发展途径,按照多主体协同方式,实施总体能源发展的行动方案,通过能源转型实现西北地区绿色更新发展。
