长江越江交通通道工程对我国21世纪经济的稳定发展作用巨大，因此在越江交通通道工程方案的选择上不能唯桥是举，而要因地制宜和恰到好处地发挥桥梁和水下隧道各自的优势，总体上实行桥隧并举。

The trans-Yangtze traffic project plays an important role in the steady development of China´s economy in the 21st Century.
