石油地球物理勘探是寻找油气田的重要手段，我国克拉玛依、大庆、胜利、辽河等油田都是用物探发现,再经打探井查明的。60年代以来物探技术发展十分迅速，物探装备也不断更新。用三维地震勘探查明地下构造的精度不断提高。今后物探不仅要解决寻找油气田的课题，还会进一步为油气田的合理开发提供重要依据。

Geophysical prospecting technique is now the main approach to explore oil and gas fields. In China, oil fields sueh as Karamai, Daqing, Shengli and Liaohe were all found by geophysical method. Especially 3 - D seismic survey played a great role in oil exploration.
