Since the LEAP wireless authentication protocol is vulnerable to dictionary attacks, the flexible authentication via secure tunneling (EAP - FAST) was introduced by Cisco Corporation in 2004, which establishes a mutually authenticated protected tunnel to protect the authentication data.
