Based on structural risk analysis methodology and quantitative management theory, the inspection and maintenance management of trans-oceanic suspension bridge is broken down to sub procedures on the element level. The risk management of the bridges is realized by defining all contents of the inspection and maintenance strategies of every kind of element including the management of the special external events and special heavy maintenances. Also the components of management system were introduced in the paper.
