IoT sensor-based BIM system for smart safety barriers of hazardous energy in petrochemical construction

摘要: The accidental release of hazardous energy is one of the causes of construction site accidents. This risk is considerably increased during petrochemical plant construction because the project itself is complex in terms of process, equipment, and environment. In addition, a general construction safety barrier hardly isolates and controls site hazardous energy effectively. Thus, this study proposes an Internet of Things (IoT) sensor-based building information modeling (BIM) system, which can be regarded as a new smart barrier design method for hazardous energy in petrochemical construction. In this system, BIM is used to support the identification of on-site hazardous energy, whereas IoT is used to collect the location of on-site personnel in real time. A hazardous energy isolation rule is defined to enable the system to generate a smart barrier on the web terminal window, thereby ensuring the safety of on-site person. This system has been applied to a large-scale construction project in Sinopec for one year and accumulated substantial practical data, which supported the idea about the application of sensor and BIM technology in construction. The related effects of the system on hazardous energy management are also presented in this work.

Evaluation of global niobium flow modeling and its market forecasting

摘要: Metal, as the indispensable material, is functioning the society from technology to the environment. Niobium (Nb) is considered a unique earth metal as it is related to many emerging technologies. The increasing economic growth exerts an increasing pressure on supply, which leads to its significance in the economic sector. However, few papers have addressed Nb sustainability, which forms the scope of this paper in order to start the process of Nb market forecasting based on some previous data and some assumptions. Therefore, this paper will discuss different thoughts in material substitution and the substance flow of Nb throughout a static flow using Nb global data to have a better understanding of the process of Nb from production to end of life. This shall lead to the identification of the market needs to determine its growth which is around 2.5% to 3.0%. Moreover, due to China’s huge Nb consumption which comes from the continuous development that is happening over the years, it will also briefly mention the Nb situation as well as its growth which according to statistics will grow steadily till 2030 by a rate of 4.0% to 6.0%. The results show that there should be some enhancement to Nb recycling potentials out of steel scrap. In addition, there should be more involvement of Nb in different industries as this would lead to less-used materials which can be translated to less environmental impact.

Internet of Things (IoT)–blockchain-enabled pharmaceutical supply chain resilience in the post-pandemic

摘要: During the COVID-19 pandemic, the current operating environment of pharmaceutical supply chain (PSC) has rapidly changed and faced increasing risks of disruption. The Internet of Things (IoT) and blockchain not only help enhance the efficiency of PSC operations in the information technology domain but also address complex related issues and improve the visibility, flexibility, and transparency of these operations. Although IoT and blockchain have been widely examined in the areas of supply chain and logistics management, further work on PSC is expected by the public to enhance its resilience. To respond to this call, this paper combines a literature review with semi-structured interviews to investigate the characteristics of PSC, the key aspects affecting PSC, and the challenges faced by PSC in the post-pandemic era. An IoT–blockchain-integrated hospital-side oriented PSC management model is also developed. This paper highlights how IoT and blockchain technology can enhance supply chain resilience and provides a reference on how PSC members can cope with the associated risks.

Review of operational management in intelligent agriculture based on the Internet of Things

摘要: This review aims to gain insight into the current research and application of operational management in the area of intelligent agriculture based on the Internet of Things (IoT), and consequently, identify existing shortcomings and potential issues. First, we use the Java application CiteSpace to analyze co-citation networks in the literature related to the operational management of IoT-based intelligent agriculture. From the literature analysis results, we identify three major fields: (1) the development of agricultural IoT (Agri-IoT) technology, (2) the precision management of agricultural production, and (3) the traceability management of agricultural products. Second, we review research in the three fields separately in detail. Third, on the basis of the research gaps identified in the review and from the perspective of integrating and upgrading the entire agricultural industry chain, additional research directions are recommended from the following aspects: The operational management of agricultural production, product processing, and product sale and after-sale service based on Agri-IoT. The theoretical research and practical application of combining operational management theories and IoT-based intelligent agriculture will provide informed decision support for stakeholders and drive the further development of the entire agriculture industry chain.

摘要: 物联网已发展十多年,技术进步使其应用更加广泛,但随着连接设备增多,引发的担忧及带来的风险也在显著增加。2013年,一种新的基于加密技术的基础设施——区块链——应运而生,通过去中心化,基于区块链的物联网有可能取代现有基于云的物联网。本文对当前物联网基础设施面临的挑战进行分类,并对采用区块链作为基础设施后物联网可能遇到的问题作文献调查,比较了两种体系结构的优缺点。简要介绍了正在进行的有关区块链的关键研究,这些研究将对克服区块链在物联网应用中遇到的挑战产生显著影响。最后,考虑到这两种体系各自面临的挑战和问题以及最新研究进展,提出一种高水平的混合方案,该方案综合利用云、边缘/雾计算和区块链,以避免这两种体系的局限性。

摘要: A wide range of industrial Internet of Things (IoT) applications have been developed and deployed in recent years. IoT has provided a promising opportunity to build powerful industrial systems and applications by leveraging the growing ubiquity of RFID, wireless, mobile and sensor devices. In an effort to understand the development of IoT in industries, this paper reviews the current research of IoT, key enabling technologies, major IoT applications in industries, and identifies research trends and challenges. As IoT has received support from governments and businesses across the globe, IoT will also greatly impact One Belt One Road (OBOR) in foreseeable future.

摘要: 研究了含未知非线性动态和外界干扰的二阶多智能体系统时变编队跟踪控制问题。在所考虑的时变编队跟踪控制中,每个跟踪者在完成预设编队的同时,需要跟踪领导者轨迹。将未知非线性动态和外界干扰视为每个多智能体的扩张状态,并设计扩张状态观测器对扩张状态进行在线观测。在此基础上,提出基于扩张状态观测器的时变编队跟踪控制协议。理论分析表明,所设计的时变编队跟踪控制协议能够保证观测器观测误差和多智能体系统时变编队跟踪误差收敛至任意小。最后,将所设计的时变编队跟踪协议应用于无人机目标合围问题,验证了该方法的有效性。

面向物联网的激励感知区块链辅助的智能边缘缓存与计算迁移研究 Article

摘要:

人工智能的快速发展将物联网推向了一个新阶段,面对数据的爆炸性增长和用户对更高服务质量的迫切需求,边缘计算和缓存被视为富有前景的技术解决手段。然而,边缘节点(Edge Nodes, ENs)中的资源并不是取之不尽的。本文提出了一种面向物联网的激励感知区块链辅助的智能边缘缓存与计算迁移方案,该方案致力于为协作ENs在资源优化和控制方面提供安全和智能的解决方案。具体地,该方案通过联合优化迁移和缓存决策以及计算和通信资源分配,以最大限度地降低EN中完成任务的总成本。此外,为解决上述优化问题,本文设计了区块链激励和贡献联合感知的联邦深度强化学习算法。在本地训练期间,该算法构建了一个激励感知区块链辅助的协作机制,即在安全保障前提下增强ENs参与协作的意愿。同时,提出了一种基于贡献的联邦聚合方法,即基于EN对全局模型性能提升所做贡献来计算其梯度的聚合权重,以提升训练效果。最后,与其它基准方案相比,数值结果证明本文方案具备高效的资源优化效用,同时在降低总成本和缓存性能方面具有显著优势。
