Now consumption of main food in Taiwan of China has been stable. It is most likely that Chinese Mainland will follow the progressive path of food consumption in Taiwan of China. The total dietary consumption of Chinese Mainland residents will reach the summit around 2026, so will the consumption of food with high added values, such as fruit, meat, egg, aquatic products, dairy products, and oil. Total dietary consumption will be 563 kg per capita, and grain consumption will be 456 kg per capita. The structure of dietary consumption will reach a table state by 2035, and total dietary consumption and grain consumption will be 499 kg per capita and 412 kg per capita, respectively. Dietary consumption of Chinese Mainland residents has great potentials for promotion, which will exert long and continuous pressure on China’s limited land and water resources.

Strategic Study of CAE 2004, Volume 6, Issue 4, Pages 77-81
This text studied the synthetic analysis for the regional geology investigating data and the image data of remote sensing of earth satellite and the other data. The authors mark and divide 5 kinds of structural system in the Taiwan region: (1) the structural system of the wreath form, (2) the structural system of the north and north east direction, (3) the structural system of the south and north direction, (4) the structural system of the north and east direction, (5) the structural system of the arc - shaped. By combination and assorting of structures, the generations of structural evolves and the formative time of structures are resumed and rebuilt. The geological developmental process is dicussed. It will provide new information to the study on the East Asia construction field and the tectonic plate movement as well as the mainland plank inside construct activity.

The collision between the Eurasian Continental Plate and the Pacific Plate along the eastern margin of Asian Continent produced a series of apron-frill-shaped island-arcs. The Taiwan Island-arc is only one of them. Its activity follows the general regularities of the plate motion but has regional characteristics. The Taiwan Islandarc is different from its adjacent Ryukyu and Luzon island-arcs and has transformlike fault occurring in it.
Fujian, Taiwan Strait, and Taiwan Island proper, located in a zone west of the Huadong Longitudinal Valley, are a part of the Eurasian continental crust and joined up as a whole body, dipping slightly to ward east at an angle of 29°~30°. The eastward flow of the asthenosphere led the body to strongly collide with the Philippine Sea Plate at the Huadong Longitudinal Valley and caused the Mesozoic clastic sediments and volcanic rocks in the upper continental crust to be strongly folded. They have westward overthrust and uplifted on the base of Euarasian Plate and hence a double-layer structure of Jurassic type was formed. The activity age of this series of NNE-trending westward overthrust faults is younger from east to west . ,
The western Taiwan Plain and the Taiwan strait represent tht Pliocene-Quaternary foreland basins in the arc-continent collision zone. In the basins the Quaternary deep-water fine-grained sediments were accumulated and the deposits are evenly distributed. The lower part of these deposits unconformably overlie the Pliocene deposits,in which a series of mainly N-S-trending stepped faults is developed. It reflects a trend of weakening tectonic movement in the zone since the Pliocene.
Under the control of the described above general tectonic conditions, the seismicity in the strait is in some concert with that on the Taiwan Island proper. But crustal stress is largely released in the high seismic zone on the western margin of the Central Mountain Range, which has screen and prevention effects on the straits area. However, the zones in outer sea areas off both ends of the Taiwan Strait and Taiwan Island proper controlled by NW-trending transform-like faults are prone to strong earthquakes when the NE-trending seashore faults intersect the transform-like faults.
The Taiwan Strait are located on the Eurasian continental crust and its seismicity is of intraplate type. Large historic earthquakes of magnitude around 7 occurred on both northern and southern ends of the Taiwan Straits. Moreover, the Cenozoic deposits are evenly distributed in the intended engineering project area, where no active fault zone was found. It is estimated that the probability of occurrence of future M≥6 earthquake is quite lower. Thus, construction of the tunnel across the straits is feasible in seismotectonic aspect.

Strategic Study of CAE 2005, Volume 7, Issue 5, Pages 16-23
It had long been discussed already about the characteristics of the recent earthquake of the Xiamen-Jinmen area. However, attention should be paid that a large shock unexpected before as the 1999 Chi-Chi Large Earthquake in Taiwan west-plain, would take place in this area and its neighborhood and affect the stability of the construction during the long duration after the completion and usage of the future Xiamen-Jinmen Bridge. The probability of such case should be considered from the study of the earthquake mechanism of the surrounding regions,i.e. the Taiwan Strait Basin,Taiwan region (Taiwan Island) and Fujian coastal region respectively. This paper describes and discusses the features of earthquakes occurred and will occur in any one of these 3 regions and how they would affect the Xiamen-Jinmen area wherein the Xiamen-Jinmen Bridge constructed.

The energy rattrap and transition of China
Shi Yuanchun
Strategic Study of CAE 2009, Volume 11, Issue 11, Pages 4-12
China is endowed with inadequate resources of oil and natural gas, and depends its 50 % of energy demand upon import. Also the quantitative ratio of reservation vs. production has already declined below 50. Among the total energy consumption, coal accounts 70 % in China, and the amount of CO2 emission has been more than the US. Nowadays, energy transition is a worldwide trend, including China. Its major direction is developing clean energy, and taking renewable energy as a focus point. China has a potential of substituting 70 % of present energy consumption, including small hydropower, wind energy and biomass energy. These resources that are economically available are 63 million tce, 123 million tce and 1.047 billion tce separately. Biomass resource is the richest in China, and it can be served to increase farmers' income immediately, promote rural economy, thus it should be regarded as the foremost area of tapping renewable energy and energy transition.

China’s resources of biomass feedstock
Shi Yuanchun
Strategic Study of CAE 2011, Volume 13, Issue 2, Pages 16-23
The data of organic wastes (including residues of crops and forests, animal excretion, agricultural and forestry processing, industrial wastes and municipal organic wastes) and marginal land (including suitable forestland, reclaimable wasteland, existed woodland and arable land) that suited to produce plants were systematically collected, sorted out and analyzed. The corresponding resource volume and available volume for economical harvesting were also put forward. According to the situation and potentiality of biomass products in 2007, it was concluded that the total productivity of China's biomass feedstock in a year equals to 932 million tce, with organic wastes and marginal land accounting for 41.1 % and 58.9 %, respectively. It was projected that to 2030, the annual potentials of biomass feedstock will be increased to 1 171 million tce, and the share of organic wastes and marginal land will be 48.3 % and 51.7 %,respectively.
