A 9.8–30.1 GHz CMOS low-noise amplifier with a 3.2-dB noise figure using inductor- and transformer-based

Abstract: A 9.8–30.1 GHz (LNA) with a 3.2-dB minimum noise figure (NF) is presented. At the architecture level, a topology based on (CG) cascading with a common-source (CS) amplifier is proposed for simultaneous wideband input matching and relatively high gain. At the circuit level, multiple techniques are proposed to improve LNA performance. First, in the CG stage, loading effect is properly used instead of the conventional feedback technique, to enable simultaneous impedance and noise matching. Second, based on in-depth theoretical analysis, the inductor- and -based techniques are employed for the CG and CS stages, respectively, to enhance the gain and reduce power consumption. Third, the floating-body method, which was originally proposed to lower NF in CS amplifiers, is adopted in the CG stage to further reduce NF. Fabricated in a 65-nm technology, the LNA chip occupies an area of only 0.2 mm and measures a maximum power gain of 10.9 dB with −3 dB bandwidth from 9.8 to 30.1 GHz. The NF exhibits a minimum value of 3.2 dB at 15 GHz and is below 5.7 dB across the entire bandwidth. The LNA consumes 15.6 mW from a 1.2-V supply.

Improved Matching Algorithms for Linear Face Class Model

Abstract:

An advanced matching technique for linear face class model is proposed, which can solve the problem of detailed controlling and robust iteration for the realistic facial modeling. A new method——Dynamic Gaussian Pyramid Analysis (DGPA), which combines Non-Uniform Sampling (NUS) method and Multi-Resolution Analysis, is presented. Integrating the PS Sampling and the Cluster Random Sampling, the distribution of the sampled points in each level images of the Gaussian pyramid is adjusted dynamically. In coarse-to-fine scheme, the minimization algorithm is used to compute the near global optimal solution that may fit to yield accurate model matching. Dynamic adjusting the boundary of the sampling cluster area and the resampling ratio, the detailed representations are effectively controlled, and the model creation is quite robust. An improved Stochastic Gradient Descent (SGD) algorithm based on the Correlative Disturbance (CD) and Adaptive Learning Rate (ALR) is exploited to accelerate iteration convergence and compute valid model parameters. With the examples of MPI Caucasian Face and AI&R Asian Face databases, experimental results in subjective evaluation and objective evaluation demonstrate the advanced model matching technique.

Research on bolt-cable reducing span support technology in large span roadway of fully-mechanized coal faces

Abstract:

Aiming at the locale facts of difficult roof controlling for large span gateway of fully-mechanized coal faces, based on analysis of the influence factors of monolayer strata stability, the numerical simulation soft UDEC3.0 is employed to deeply research influence factors and changing rules of roof stability of the gateway which is composed by some monolayer strata. A new supporting idea of reducing span supporting function by bolts cooperating with anchor cables is brought forward by disposing anchor cables at the appropriate locations, the traditional supporting theory such as suspensory and compounding beam (arch) are still operated at the same time. A good result is achieved after the new supporting idea is applied in the large span gateway of Bulianta Colliery in Shendong diggings.

Enhancing the management of oil production engineering with philosophical thinking

Abstract:

In the history of Chinese petroleum industry,the philosophical thinking is always used to guide practice. The Daqing Oilfield was developed based on the philosophical thoughts of Mao Zedong, i.e., On Practice and On Contradictions. Relying on the philosophical thoughts,the management and technology innovationsystem was continuously improved,and the technology management system with Daqing Oilfield characteristics was developed. This paper applies the thoughts of the "Two Theory" in oil production engineering,and analyzes the major challenges and countermeasures for the stable production of 4.0×107 to Daqing Oilfield. The scientific methodology of practice is used to guide the technical schemes and solutions. The "Two Theory" is proved to be effective to guarantee the stable production of 4.0×107 t.

Research on Combined Construction Technology for Cross-Subway Tunnels in Underground Spaces Article

Abstract:

Given the increasingly notable segmentation of underground space by existing subway tunnels, it is difficult to effectively and adequately develop and utilize underground space in busy parts of a city. This study presents a combined construction technology that has been developed for use in underground spaces; it includes a deformation buffer layer, a special grouting technique, jump excavation by compartment, back-pressure portal frame technology, a reinforcement technique, and the technology of a steel portioning drum or plate. These technologies have been successfully used in practical engineering. The combined construction technology presented in this paper provides a new method of solving key technical problems in underground spaces in effectively used cross-subway tunnels. As this technology has achieved significant economic and social benefits, it has valuable future applications.

Abstract:

Maritime unmanned system are crucial for future intelligent and unmanned warfare. They have become a new height of competition in the maritime domain and will play an increasingly important role in national defense security. Considering the development demand for national intelligence and unmanned strategies, the study analyzes the development status of maritime unmanned systems and corresponding technologies in China and abroad from the aspects of strategic planning and conceptual guidance, technological research and equipment development, and system demonstration and capability verification. The challenges and trends for the development of maritime unmanned systems are summarized and key technical challenges are proposed. Moreover, development pathways of maritime unmanned systems in key directions are explored and countermeasures to promote the sustained, steady, and rapid development of maritime unmanned systems are recommended from the perspectives of overall thinking, system composition, equipment development, and technology breakthroughs.

Abstract: A four-dimensional memristive system is constructed using a novel ideal memristor with cosine memductance. Due to the special memductance nonlinearity, this memristive system has a line equilibrium set (0, 0, 0, δ) located along the coordinate of the inner state variable of the memristor, whose stability is periodically varied with a change of δ. Nonlinear and one-dimensional initial offset boosting behaviors, which are triggered by not only the initial condition of the memristor but also other two initial conditions, are numerically uncovered. Specifically, a wide variety of coexisting attractors with different positions and topological structures are revealed along the boosting route. Finally, circuit simulations are performed by Power SIMulation (PSIM) to confirm the unique dynamical features.

Abstract:

Reconstruction of a 12-lead electrocardiogram (ECG) from a serial 3-lead ECG has been researched in the past to satisfy the need for more wearing comfort and ambulatory situations. The accuracy and real-time performance of traditional methods need to be improved. In this study, we present a novel method based on convolutional neural networks (CNNs) for the synthesis of missing precordial leads. The results show that the proposed method receives better similarity and consumes less time using the PTB database. Particularly, the presented method shows outstanding performance in reconstructing the pathological ECG signal, which is crucial for cardiac diagnosis. Our CNN-based method is shown to be more accurate and time-saving for deployment in non-hospital situations to synthesize a standard 12-lead ECG from a reduced lead-set ECG recording. This is promising for real cardiac care.

Research and Applications of Piston Wind VelocityModel for Mine Hoisting System

Abstract:

It is necessary to analyze each factor that affects the stability of mine ventilation system in order to comprehensively and quantitatively analysis the stability of mine ventilation system. Piston wind velocity engendered by hoisting system is one of the primary factors. Using Bernoulli equation and continuity equation of non-steady flow, the paper presents the calculation formula of piston wind velocity in mine hoisting systems by assuming different passing section. According to the formula, piston wind velocity can be quantitatively calculate, which will be used as basic data for the stability analysis of mine ventilation system. In this way, the stability of mine ventilation system can be further analyzed, which will benefit the safety of productien.
