Effect of inlet box on performance of axial flow fans

摘要： Numerical investigations on 3D flow fields in an axial flow fan with and without an inlet box have been extensively conducted, focusing on the variation of fan performance caused by the internal flow fields and the velocity evenness at the exit of the inlet box. It is interesting to find that although the inlet box is well designed in accordance with basic design principles, there is a flow separation region in it. Furthermore, this flow separation and the resulting uneven velocity distribution at the exit lead to some decrease in the efficiency and an increase in the total pressure rise of the fan. This research shows that the inlet box needs further improvement and such a check on the flow fields is of value for the design of inlet boxes.

Classification of contaminants and treatability evaluation of domestic wastewater

摘要： Long-term sampling and analysis were conducted in a domestic wastewater treatment plant for the investigation on the characteristics of the representative contaminants in raw sewage such as SS, COD, BOD5, TP, and TN. All these constituents were classified into dissolved and suspended groups by using a 0.45-µm membrane filter, and the concentration of each constituent in each group was analyzed. As a result, almost 100% of the SS was found to be suspended matter, as well as about 65% of COD, 60% of BOD, 50% of P, and 20% of N. All these could be easily removed by sedimentation or coagulation/sedimentation. A treatability evaluation diagram was proposed for a rational selection of wastewater treatment process in accordance with raw water quality.

Investigation of nanostructure of konjac-based water absorbents with atomic force microscopy

摘要： Atomic force microscopy technology is gradually spreading to almost all aspects, including food science and technology, since it was first invented in 1986. In this study, this powerful instrument was applied to image nanostructures of three water absorbents—original konjac powder, konjac powder grafted with acrylic acid using Co γ-irradiation and regenerated grafted powder. Water absorption capacities and the rates of the three absorbents were also determined in this work. Original konjac powder could only absorb 60 times (w/w) of water, while 270 times for the grafted absorbent and 360 times for the regenerated absorbent. The initial water absorption rates in both tap and distilled water were high, but the rate decreased steeply as time elapsed. After 20min, the absorbent was close to saturated status. These physical properties were in accordance with the nanostructures of these three water absorbents.

Inverse kinematics analysis and numerical control experiment for PRS-XY style hybrid machining tool

摘要： This paper analyzed the inverse kinematics for the new Parallel rotate slider- axes (PRS-) style hybrid machining tool and educed the five axes linkage inverse kinematics transform formula on the basis of the coordinates of the and virtual axes. The program for the PRS-XY style hybrid machining tool in accordance with the program manner for the common numerical control (NC) machine tool was made. The results of the experiments prove that the inverse kinematics transform formula is correct.

摘要： 现阶段，智能电网运行环境比以往更加复杂。新能源渗透、市场化、网络安全以及自然灾害等大量因素，给电网控制中心带来诸多挑战甚至威胁。电网调度员需要新的技术支持，以快速、准确地感知电网运行态势，并采取相应措施。为解决此难题，我们首次引入并介绍了调度环节中新兴态势感知技术的背景和需求。为使读者更好地理解这个领域的最新研究进展，本文综述了态势感知的一般概念和相关技术要求。为更好地指导调度员在实时电网运行中准确、迅速地采取措施，本文讨论了在态势感知架构设计中融合调度员思维的重要性。最后，本文分析了态势感知构架的研究前景，希冀以先进、可视化的方式构造态势感知模型。
