Yan-hu Chen, Yu-jia Zang, Jia-jie Yao, Gul Muhammad,yanhuchen@zju.edu.cn

Frontiers of Information Technology & Electronic Engineering 2019, Volume 20, Issue 10,   Pages 1331-1343 doi: 10.1631/FITEE.1900125

Abstract: s with tree or ring topologies play an important role in real-time ocean exploration. Due to the time-consuming need for field maintenance, technology that can actively switch the power on/off on certain branches of the network becomes essential for enhancing the reliability and availability of the network. In this paper, a novel switching-control method is proposed, in which we invert the power transmission polarity and use the current on the power line as the digital signal at low frequency to broadcast information with the address and commands to the network, and the corresponding (BU) can decode and execute the switching commands. The cable’s parasitic parameters, the network scale, and the number of BUs, as the influencing factors of the on the power line, are theoretically studied and simulated. An optimized frequency that balances the executing accuracy and rate is calculated and proved on a simulated prototype. The results showed that the technology with optimized frequency can enhance the switching accuracy and configuring rate.

Frontiers of Information Technology & Electronic Engineering 2020, Volume 21, Issue 8,   Pages 1119-1266 doi: 10.1631/FITEE.1900210

Abstract: (CKD) is a widespread renal disease throughout the world. Once it develops to the advanced stage, serious complications and high risk of death will follow. Hence, early screening is crucial for the treatment of CKD. Since ultrasonography has no side effects and enables radiologists to dynamically observe the morphology and pathological features of the kidney, it is commonly used for kidney examination. In this study, we propose a novel convolutional neural network (CNN) framework named the to screen CKD based on images. This introduces a texture branch into a typical CNN to extract and optimize texture features. The model can automatically generate texture features and deep features from input images, and use the fused information as the basis of classification. Furthermore, we train the base part of the network by means of , and conduct experiments on a dataset with 226 images. Experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed approach, achieving an accuracy of 96.01% and a sensitivity of 99.44%.

Cell-Zone Method: An Engineering Approach to Predict Smoke Movement in Large Scale Building Fire

Hu Longhua,Huo Ran,Liy Uanzhou,Wang Haobo

Strategic Study of CAE 2003, Volume 5, Issue 8,   Pages 59-63

Abstract:

In large scale building fire, it is improper to predict smoke descending using traditional simple two-layer zone model, which divides the total space of the building into upper hot smoke layer and lower cool air layer. In this paper, an improved method, named Cell-Zone Method, is used to solve this problem, which first divides the total space into some small subspaces and then uses traditional two-layer zone model in each subspace. Comparison is carried out between these two methods in fire smoke development simulation in typical large space buildings by CFAST4.02 software package. Results show that Cell-Zone Method demonstrates more applicability than traditional simple two-layer zone model in large scale building, especially in buildings having large scale in one direction.

Frontiers of Information Technology & Electronic Engineering 2019, Volume 20, Issue 2,   Pages 300-306 doi: 10.1631/FITEE.1700056

Abstract:

A radio-over-fiber (RoF) distributed antenna system (DAS) architecture is proposed, where millimeter wave (mm-wave) signals are transmitted to four different radio access units (RAUs) arranged in a ring topology. The proposed architecture transmits duplex data of 128 Mb/s to each RAU in both downlink (DL) and uplink (UL) directions. The radio frequency (RF) signals are transmitted by polarization multiplexing a multi-wavelength source. Millimeter-wave signals at a frequency of 25 GHz are generated at each RAU using remote heterodyne detection. The proposed architecture provides increased coverage while maintaining good bit error rate (BER) results.

Frontiers of Information Technology & Electronic Engineering 2022, Volume 23, Issue 1,   Pages 134-144 doi: 10.1631/FITEE.2000325

Abstract: RSA and ellipse curve cryptography (ECC) algorithms are widely used in authentication, data security, and access control. In this paper, we analyze the basic operation of the ECC and RSA algorithms and optimize their modular multiplication and modular inversion algorithms. We then propose a modular operation architecture, with a mix-memory unit and double multiply-accumulate structures, to realize our unified, asymmetric cryptosystem structure in an operational unit. Synthesized with 55-nm CMOS process, our design runs at 588 MHz and requires only 437 801 μm of hardware resources. Our proposed design takes 21.92 and 23.36 mW for 2048-bit RSA modular multiplication and modular inversion respectively, as well as 16.16 and 15.88 mW to complete 512-bit ECC dual-field modular multiplication and modular inversion respectively. It is more energy-efficient and flexible than existing single algorithm units. Compared with existing multiple algorithm units, our proposed method shows better performance. The operation unit is embedded in a 64-bit RISC-V processor, realizing key generation, encryption and decryption, and digital signature functions of both RSA and ECC. Our proposed design takes 0.224 and 0.153 ms for 256-bit ECC point multiplication in and respectively, as well as 0.96 ms to complete 1024-bit RSA exponentiation, meeting the demand for .

Frontiers of Information Technology & Electronic Engineering 2021, Volume 22, Issue 8,   Pages 1104-1113 doi: 10.1631/FITEE.2000229

Abstract: This paper presents a study of s in submillimeter and terahertz bands. To show the necessity of improving the mechanical properties of the coupler’s branch in submillimeter and terahertz bands, a comprehensive study regarding the displacement of hybrid branch variation with varying width-length ratio and height-length ratio has been completed. In addition, a modified is designed and presented. Compared with the traditional branch structure, the proposed hybrid consists of a modified middle branch with circular cutouts at the top and bottom on both sides instead of the traditional rectangle branch, which increases the branch size and improves its while achieving the same performance. Simulation results show that the deformation of the modified hybrid branch is 22% less than those of other traditional structure designs under the same stress. In practice, a vibration experiment is set up to verify the of hybrid couplers. Measurement results show that the experiment deteriorates the coupling performance. Experimental results verify that the performance of the novel structure coupler is better than that of a traditional structure branch hybrid coupler under the same electrical properties.

Abstract: The prediction of regional traffic flows is important for traffic control and management in an intelligent traffic system. With the help of deep neural networks, the convolutional neural network or residual neural network, which can be applied only to regular grids, is adopted to capture the spatial dependence for flow prediction. However, the obtained regions are always irregular considering the road network and administrative boundaries; thus, dividing the city into grids is inaccurate for prediction. In this paper, we propose a new model based on and (MGCN-GRU) to predict traffic flows for . Specifically, we first construct heterogeneous inter-region graphs for a city to reflect the relationships among regions. In each graph, nodes represent the and edges represent the relationship types between regions. Then, we propose a to fuse different inter-region graphs and additional attributes. The GRU is further used to capture the temporal dependence and to predict future traffic flows. Experimental results based on three real-world large-scale datasets (public bicycle system dataset, taxi dataset, and dockless bike-sharing dataset) show that our MGCN-GRU model outperforms a variety of existing methods.

The Balancing Stress in the Tilted Section of the Element Is Not the Stress for the Balance of the Particle on It

HanWenba,Cai Bingqing,LiuDabin,Han Xiaodong

Strategic Study of CAE 2005, Volume 7, Issue 11,   Pages 42-47

Abstract:

From the pure extension of the straight bar it can be seen that the balancing stress in the tilted section of the element can only ensure the balance of itself, but can’t ensure the balance of particles on it. The difference between the balance of the element and that of particles on it is demonstrated. A conclusion is drawn that the balancing stress of particles under two dimension stress state is written as σ'α = σ2x +σ2y+ 2τ2+2τ(σ2x2y1/2(sinα2 + cosα2))1/2,and the angle between the direction of the balance stress and axis is written as αx= arctan ( τ + (σ2x + σ2y)1/2 sin arctan (σyx)) /(τ + (σ2x2y1/2 cos arctan (σyx)). Under two dimension stress state, the principal stress of element and the maximum balancing stress of particles both take place in the 45°diagonal plane, and the balancing stress of particles is 21/2 times that of the principal stress. A new two dimension combining strength condition is derived as σ'α = (σ2 + 2τ2 + 2στ )1/2≤[σ], and it will replace the formula of bend-torsion combining strength condition of third strength theory ( σ2 + 4τ2)1/2≤[σ] and that of fourth strength theory( σ2 + 3τ2)1/2≤[σ]. A new three dimension combining strength condition is derived as σ'd =(σ212223)1/2[σ]and can replace the wrong formula σxd=[((σ12)2 +(σ23)2 +(σ31)2)/2 ]1/2≤[σ] , which is the corresponding strength formula of the fourth strength theory.
