The Architecture of a Product Collaborative Design Platform Based on Cloud Manufacturing

Abstract:

Product design is crucial to improving product quality and lowering manufacturing costs. Cloud manufacturing is emerging as a new manufacturing model and an integrated technology and has become an important development direction for advanced manufacturing. To adapt to the transformation of traditional manufacturing to service-oriented and innovative manufacturing, this study investigates the current status of collaborative design and summarizes the problems regarding the sharing and on-demand use of massive resources in traditional manufacturing. It also proposes the architecture of a product collaborative design platform based on cloud manufacturing and explains the meaning of each layer in detail. Then three key technologies for building the platform are discussed: cloud manufacturing technology, product family and product platform technology, and product collaborative design technology. Finally, using a cloud-manufacturing-based product collaborative design platform system established by a company as an example, the system architecture and functions of the platform are analyzed, and the differences in task assign and completion time between cloud manufacturing and traditional manufacturing are compared. The effectiveness and superiority of the cloud manufacturing-based system are verified, and the application and research direction of the system are prospected.

BTL technologies are on the eve of big-scale commercialization—Meeting the second wave of bioenergy industry

Abstract:

A series of newly-developed type of biofuel plants have established which are featured with products of thermo-chemical platform, sugar platform and carboxylates platform, as well as use lignocellulosic feedstock. Lignocellulose biomass-to-liquids (BTL) is fundamentally different both from the first generation biofuels that are all derived from cereal and vegetable oil, and from the second generation ethanol that is based on hydrolysis-fermentation process. The prominent feature of such a new kind of advanced biofuels is that they can make full use of the energy contained in lignin and semicellulose, which is rich in woody materials, thus considerably broadens the scope of feedstock. Recently, majority of these technologies have undergone tests of pilot and demonstration phases, and on the eve of big scale of commercialization. The products derived from above three platforms are all characteristic of reducing CO2 emission by 70 %~90 % and can be used directly on current vehicle engines and fuel infrastructure. Chinese scientists have also tapped a few novel technologies in this field, and without lag behind in the severe international competition.

Abstract:

The fusion of the manufacturing industry, next-generation Internet, and information technologies is catalyzing the development of industrial Internet. The importance of developing the industry Internet platform (IIP) is recognized not only by leading international manufacturers, but also by people involved in framing China's manufacturing strategies. In this paper, the development trends of IIP are elaborated and the challenges in building the client-ecosphere, developer-ecosphere, as well as the data-ecosphere of IIP are analyzed. Furthermore, the technical challenges of IIP in modeling and analyzing industry big data system and industry data are discussed in depth.

Abstract: Intelligent radio access networks (RANs) have been seen as a promising paradigm aiming to better satisfy diverse application demands and support various service scenarios. In this paper, a comprehensive survey of recent advances in intelligent RANs is conducted. First, the efforts made by standard organizations and vendors are summarized, and several intelligent RAN architectures proposed by the academic community are presented, such as intent-driven RAN and network with enhanced data analytic. Then, several enabling techniques are introduced which include AI-driven network slicing, intent perception, intelligent operation and maintenance, AI-based cloud-edge collaborative networking, and intelligent multi-dimensional resource allocation. Furthermore, the recent progress achieved in developing is described. Finally, given the extensiveness of the research area, several promising future directions are outlined, in terms of standard open data sets, enabling AI with a computing power network, realization of edge intelligence, and software-defined intelligent satellite-terrestrial integrated network.

Study on dynamic responses of connectors of modular offshore platform

Abstract:

A rigid module rigid connector(RMRC) model is used to study the dynamic characteristics of connectors of modular offshore platform. It is assumed that the modular offshore platform is a whole structure and the connector loads are simplied as the corresponding section loads is deduced using the Three-Dimensional Potential Theory by means of the assumption—High Encounter Frequency with Low Sailing Speed. 2 sea state cases, 4 structure sizes, and 7 wave angle connectors are calculated gaining the dynamic responses and sea states of connectors,and the regularity and relationship between configuration sizes and wave angles which is useful to design and utilization of connectors.

The construction and operation of technology innovation platform on Shenhua heavy haul railway

Abstract:

The national energy demand makes requests to Shenhua Group to develop heavy haul railway. The characteristic of heavy haul railway technology innovation determines that open innovation must be used. Building innovation platform to develop heavy haul railway technology is an indispensible choice. This paper introduces the general idea of technology innovation platform construction, including demand oriented, enterprise leading, resources integrating, project relying, efficient and sustainable innovation. The components of heavy haul railway including organization, personnel, funding and institution are discussed, and the innovation process of platform is analyzed. In the process of the heavy haul railway technology innovation platform construction and operation, Shenhua Railway forms a unique heavy haul railway technology innovation mode, produces a series of technical innovation effect, and effectively supports the enterprise strategic target realization. The Shenhua heavy haul railway technology innovation experience provides new ideas to the same type enterprises and the whole industry.

Development Strategy for Aquaculture Facility and Deepwater Aquaculture Platform

Abstract:

In order to the concept of the ecological priorcty and green development, to transform the extensive mode of production in the past, we must vigorously carry out research and development of facilities and equipment to improve the level of equipent and technology in China. This is the only way to promote the healthy and sustainable development of Chinese aquaculture industry. This paper examines the applications of aquaculture facilities and equipment in China, the main problems in the development of aquaculture engineering, and key technologies for the improvement of aquaculture engineering application. Measures for future research and the continued development of aquaculture facilities and equipment are also proposed.

Research progress and application of high performance offshore platform steel

Abstract:

With the development of petroleum industry in China,undersea oil and gas development has gradually extended from shallow of the continental shelf to deep waters,therefore, high strength and high toughness and excellent resistance to lamellar tearing are the properties which heavy-gauge offshore platform steel must have in the future. This paper presents the research progress on high performance offshore platform steel at home and abroad in recent years,and the key technical problems of such steel production also be mentioned. Research work and engineering applications of high- strength plates in The State Key Laboratory of Rolling and Automation,such as Ultra Fast Cooling(UFC)and γ+α quenching technique,are finally reviewed.

A Hardware Platform Framework for an Intelligent Vehicle Based on a Driving Brain Article

Abstract:

The type, model, quantity, and location of sensors installed on the intelligent vehicle test platform are different, resulting in different sensor information processing modules. The driving map used in intelligent vehicle test platform has no uniform standard, which leads to different granularity of driving map information. The sensor information processing module is directly associated with the driving map information and decision-making module, which leads to the interface of intelligent driving system software module has no uniform standard. Based on the software and hardware architecture of intelligent vehicle, the sensor information and driving map information are processed by using the formal language of driving cognition to form a driving situation graph cluster and output to a decision-making module, and the output result of the decision-making module is shown as a cognitive arrow cluster, so that the whole process of intelligent driving from perception to decision-making is completed. The formalization of driving cognition reduces the influence of sensor type, model, quantity, and location on the whole software architecture, which makes the software architecture portable on different intelligent driving hardware platforms.

Abstract:

Optoelectronic technology is a new technology formed by the combination of photon technology and electronic technology. Photon technology can cause an industrial revolution that supersedes electronic technology, because it will have a deeper impact on industry and society. We review the development of optoelectronic devices and integration technologies. We compare and analyze the development and characteristics of optoelectronic technology platforms, summarize the key manufacturing technologies, introduce several representative optoelectronic devices including flexible devices, and focus on the key breakthrough technologies that need to be achieved. Through a comprehensive review of the development of optoelectronic technology, China should seize the opportunity for a transformation of the optoelectronic technology industry. By drawing on the experiences with advanced optoelectronic platforms and technologies in foreign countries, we should speed up the accumulation and reserves of Chinese industrial talents, pay attention to the accumulation of basic technology, and establish a national optoelectronic technology platform, to greatly enhance domestic levels in these regards and to achieve independent innovations with these devices.

Digital Infrastructure System for Biomedical Research and Development

Abstract:

The biomedical industry is developing at an unprecedented speed and the establishment and improvement of a digital infrastructure for biomedical research and development (R&D) is crucial for biotechnology innovation and Health China construction. This study analyzes the implication, classification, and systematic framework of the digital infrastructure for biomedical R&D in the new era. It summarizes the strategic layouts and development paths of the digital infrastructures for biomedical R&D in the United States, the European Union, and China, and examines the gap between China and European and American countries in terms of international influence and authority, development model design and efficiency, sustainability, and management organization construction. Moreover, it presents the challenges faced by the digital infrastructure of China regarding top-level design, management, and governance. Furthermore, we suggest that the following aspects should be strengthened: top-level framework design, coordination of biomedical and healthcare resources, clustered construction and governance of the platform, and capacity building and operationguarantee of the open platform.

A survey on run-time supporting platforms for cyber physical systems Review

Abstract: Cyber physical systems (CPSs) incorporate computation, communication, and physical processes. The deep coupling and continuous interaction between such processes lead to a significant increase in complexity in the design and implementation of CPSs. Consequently, whereas developing CPSs from scratch is inefficient, developing them with the aid of CPS run-time sup-porting platforms can be efficient. In recent years, much research has been actively conducted on CPS run-time supporting plat-forms. However, few surveys have been conducted on these platforms. In this paper, we analyze and evaluate existing CPS run-time supporting platforms by first classifying them into three categories from the viewpoint of software architecture: com-ponent-based platforms, service-based platforms, and agent-based platforms. Then, for each type, we detail its design philosophy, key technical problems, and corresponding solutions with specific use cases. Subsequently, we compare existing platforms from two aspects: construction approaches for CPS tasks and support for non-functional properties. Finally, we outline several im-portant future research issues.

Research and application of aerial comprehensive lifting platform of tower column of Three Gorges Project ship lift

Abstract:

The overall construction program has been changed in the extension project of Three Gorges Project ship lift. Because of it, the tower column, rack, nut post, counterweight, and longitudinal guide rail should be constructed at the same time which forms the grade separation operation. In this case, conventional shelving scheme can not meet the requirement of construction. So the aerial comprehensive lifting platform is adopted which can quickly change the vertical construction site and meet the requirements of different parts and working procedures. This platform contains hoist lifting platform, gear-rack lifting platform, and hanging lifting platform. Comprehensive lifting platform can meet the requirements of the installation of metal structure, construction of second stage concrete, installation of mechanical and electrical equipment, concrete pouring of second stage concrete, and pagel grouting. It can relief the intense construction period. This technique after design can be popularized and applied in similar project.

Effects of Three-Dimensional Platform Stiffness and Layer Dimensions on Separation of Carcinoma Cells Article

Abstract:

Cancer cell separation is highly desirable for cancer diagnosis and therapy. Besides biochemical methods, engineered platforms are effective alternatives for sorting carcinoma cells from normal cells based on their unique properties in responding to the physical changes of the surrounding microenvironment. In this work, three-dimensional (3D) biomimetic scaffold platforms were developed to separate nasopharyngeal carcinoma 43 (NPC43) cells from immortalized nasopharyngeal epithelial 460 (NP460) cells based on precisely controlled design parameters including stiffness, number of layers, and structural layout. The migration characteristics of NPC43 and NP460 cells on the scaffold platforms revealed that NPC43 cells could squeeze into 10 µm wide, 15 µm deep trenches while NP460 cells could not. The different migration behavior was mainly due to cells having different interactions with the surrounding microenvironment. NPC43 cells had filopodia-like protrusions, while NP460 cells exhibited a sheet-like morphology. Using these 3D biomimetic platforms, 89% separation efficiency of NPC43 cells from NP460 cells was achieved on stiffer two-layer scaffold platforms with a 40/10 μm ridge/trench (R/T) grating on the top layer and a 20/10 μm R/T grid on the bottom layer. Moreover, the separation efficiency was further increased to 93% by adding an active conditioned medium (ACM) that caused the cells to have higher motility and deformability. These results demonstrate the capability to apply biomimetic engineered platforms with appropriate designs to separate cancer cells from normal cells for potential cancer diagnosis and treatment.
