An improved immunity path planning algorithm for mobile robots based on the guidance weight of artificial potential field

Wang Sunan,Wu Canyang

Strategic Study of CAE 2013, Volume 15, Issue 1,   Pages 73-78

Abstract:

To solve the path planning problem of mobile robots in complicated environments, combining the small computational amount of artificial potential field and the adaptive regulation ability of artificial immune network, an improved immunity path planning algorithm is presented. To further improve the search ability and convergence of immune network, the planning results of artificial potential field are taken as the prior knowledge to construct the guidance weight, and the antibody instruction definition and distance changes after the antibody transition are taken as the variables to construct the antibody transmission probability operator. Compared with the correlative planning algorithms, simulation results indicate that the optimal planning ability and network convergence of proposed algorithm is highly improved.

Target detection for multi-UAVs via digital pheromones and navigation algorithm in unknown environments Research

Yan Shao, Zhi-feng Zhao, Rong-peng Li, Yu-geng Zhou,shaoy@zju.edu.cn,zhaozf@zhejianglab.com,lirongpeng@zju.edu.cn,yugeng.zhou@wfjyjt.com

Frontiers of Information Technology & Electronic Engineering 2020, Volume 21, Issue 5,   Pages 649-808 doi: 10.1631/FITEE.1900659

Abstract: Coordinating multiple unmanned aerial vehicles (multi-UAVs) is a challenging technique in highly dynamic and sophisticated environments. Based on as well as current mainstream unmanned system controlling algorithms, we propose a strategy for multi-UAVs to acquire targets with limited prior knowledge. In particular, we put forward a more reasonable and effective pheromone update mechanism, by improving digital pheromone fusion algorithms for different semantic pheromones and planning individuals’ probabilistic behavioral decision-making schemes. Also, inspired by the flocking model in nature, considering the limitations of some individuals in perception and communication, we design a model on top of Olfati-Saber’s algorithm for flocking control, by further replacing the pheromone scalar to a vector. Simulation results show that the proposed algorithm can yield superior performance in terms of coverage, detection and revisit efficiency, and the capability of obstacle avoidance.

Abstract: es (LVEAs) have many workpieces and intricate geometric structures, and the assembly process is rigid and labor-intensive, and has little balance. The assembly process cannot readily adapt to changes in assembly situations. To address these issues, a is proposed. Based on the requirements of , a colored Petri net (CPN) model is proposed to analyze the performance of the interaction and self-government of robots in . Also, an algorithm (AFPA) is presented to realize the assembly planning and of robots in the of LVEAs. Then an (AQGA) is developed to optimize the assembly process. Lastly, taking a two-pole circuit-breaker controller with leakage protection (TPCLP) as an assembly instance, comparative results show that the is cost-effective and flexible in LVEA assembly. The distribution of resources can also be optimized in the assembly. The assembly robots can interact dynamically with each other to accommodate changes that may occur in the LVEA assembly.

Frontiers of Information Technology & Electronic Engineering 2022, Volume 23, Issue 10,   Pages 1494-1510 doi: 10.1631/FITEE.2100530

Abstract:

With the rapid development of data-driven intelligent transportation systems, an efficient method for taxis has become a hot topic in smart cities. We present an effective taxi approach (called APFD) based on the (APF) method and method with mobile trajectory big data. Specifically, to improve the efficiency of , we propose a method that searches for a region including the optimal route through the origin and destination coordinates. Then, based on the APF method, we put forward an effective approach for removing redundant nodes. Finally, we employ the method to determine the optimal . In particular, the APFD approach is applied to a simulation map and the real-world road network on the Fourth Ring Road in Beijing. On the map, we randomly select 20 pairs of origin and destination coordinates and use APFD with the ant colony (AC) algorithm, greedy algorithm (A∗), APF, rapid-exploration random tree (RRT), non-dominated sorting genetic algorithm-II (NSGA-II), particle swarm optimization (PSO), and for the shortest . Compared with AC, A∗, APF, RRT, NSGA-II, and PSO, concerning shortest route planning, APFD improves route planning capability by 1.45%–39.56%, 4.64%–54.75%, 8.59%–37.25%, 5.06%–45.34%, 0.94%–20.40%, and 2.43%–38.31%, respectively. Compared with , the performance of APFD is improved by 1.03–27.75 times in terms of the execution efficiency. In addition, in the real-world road network, on the Fourth Ring Road in Beijing, the ability of APFD to recommend the shortest route is better than those of AC, A∗, APF, RRT, NSGA-II, and PSO, and the execution efficiency of APFD is higher than that of the method.

Abstract:

Inspired by the compound eyes of insects, many s have been proposed to improve the imaging quality, e.g., to yield a high-resolution image or an image with a large field-of-view. Previous research has reviewed existing s, but few papers emphasize the which is essential to bridge the gap between configuration design and application. In this paper, we review typical s (i.e., , , and ), and then summarize general mathematical s for different configurations. These mathematical models provide methods for calculating the key indexes of a specific , such as the field-of-view and sub-image overlap ratio. The mathematical tools simplify the quantitative design and evaluation of imaging systems for researchers.

Abstract:

Based on steady state incompressible Reynolds-averaged Navier-Stokes equation,  turbulence model,  the three-dimension airflow and concentration fields in passenger car are calculated numerically.  Regarding passengers as cubes and the exhalant CO2 as representative contaminant respectively,  the airflow and concentration distributions are investigated in non-empty state.  The results show that existing sew supply modes make the airflow distribution homogeneous except for the ends.  Body heat and solar radiation have much influence on airflow and temperature fields.  The air distribution in occupied passenger car differs from that in empty one.  The heat flux from body heat and solar radiation produces a much big temperature gradient in occupied passenger car.  The concentration is low in gangway zone while high in seat zone with crowded passengers.  The concentration in middle section is higher than that in end section and contaminant gathers in respiratory region,  and the polluted air can´t be exchanged effectively in seat zone,  which is disadvantageous to air quality in passenger car.

Strategic Study of CAE 2013, Volume 15, Issue 7,   Pages 68-74

Abstract:

The routine wind fields retrieval algorithm for China's microwave scatterometer onboard HY-2A (HY2-SCAT) was developed. By introducing a two-step search schema into the wind retrieval process, which included a coarse-search and an optimal-search, the efficiency of wind retrieval was greatly improved. Circular median filter was applied to remove the ambiguities, and the NCEP wind field was used as a background to re-initialized wind field consists of ambiguous wind vectors, so that the ambiguity removal skill can be largely enhanced. Wind vectors observed by HY2-SCAT were evaluated by comparison with NDBC buoy observations and ASCAT observations. The RMS difference was less than 2 m/s or less than 10 % for the comparison of wind speeds and the RMS difference was less than 20 degree for the comparison of wind direction, which indicated that the wind products provided by HY2-SCAT can meet the requirements for science and routine meteo users.

Strategic Study of CAE 2008, Volume 10, Issue 6,   Pages 76-86

Abstract:

Microwave microwave polarimeter is a sensor of measuring not only the vertical-and horizontal-polarization, but also the third and/or the forth Stokes parameters. It realizes all information about electromagnetic wave, including frequency, phase, amplitude and polarization,to be measured by a senor. The correlated information of the first two Stokes parameters is more sensitive to the anisotropy of the ocean surface. Wind direction retrieval is one of the initial motivations of the polarimeter development. In this paper, the progress and characteristic on polarimeter development are introduced and theories of ocean wind vector remote sensing are analyzed. Oceanic emission and scattering model is develoked for remote sensing wind vector using passive polarimetric microwave radiometer. The critical techniques on its system design, which include receiver and calibration methods, are discussed in order to realize scientific target of wind retrievals. Furthermore more efforts are paid on expatiating scientific topics on wind reversion methods, including geophysical model function built-up, influences of main technical specifications on retrieval precision, and wind direction ambiguity removal methods by data-processing methods and scanning geometry. The calibration errors and main specifications of polarimetric radiometer, which have significant influences on the accuracy of wind vector retrieval, are summed in detail. Finally,a new scanning geometry with fore-aft-look to remove wind direction ambiguous solution is put forward.

The zero-point energy of vibration and the Casimir force

Huang Zhixun

Strategic Study of CAE 2008, Volume 10, Issue 5,   Pages 63-69

Abstract:

Put two metal sheets very close together in vacuum, we'll find they attract each other with a small but measurable force. The explanation for the Casimir effect is that empty space is cracking with zero-point energy(ZPE), a phenomenon arising from quantum theory, and this energy pushes the metal plates together. All scientists agree that such a force does exist, but the trouble is physicists can't agree on what it means for something to be true. Is empty space really fizzing with energy? Perhaps the answer may determine the fate of the universe. A variety of anomalous phenomena in nature or at laboratories could be explained by the Casimir effect and the torsion field theory.
