Algorithm Design for Improving Feature Extraction Efficiency Based on KPCA

Abstract:

KPCA (kernel PCA) is derived from PCA. It can extract nonlinear feature components of samples. However, feature extraction for one sample requires that kernel functions between training samples and the sample be calculated in advance. So, the size of training sample set affects the efficiency of feature extraction. It is supposed that in feature space the eigenvectors may be linearly expressed by a part of training samples, called nodes. According to the supposition, an improved KPCA (IKPCA) algorithm is developed. IKPCA extracts feature components of one sample efficiently, only based on kernel functions between nodes and the sample. Experimental results show that IKPCA is very close to KPCA in performance, while with higher efficiency.

Abstract: With the rapid development of Internet technology and the advent of the era of big data, more and more texts are provided on the Internet. These texts include not only security concepts, incidents, tools, guidelines, and policies, but also risk management approaches, best practices, assurances, technologies, and more. Through the integration of large-scale, heterogeneous, unstructured information, the identification and classification of entities can help handle issues. Due to the complexity and diversity of texts in the domain, it is difficult to identify security entities in the domain using the traditional methods. This paper describes various approaches and techniques for NER in this domain, including the rule-based approach, dictionary-based approach, and based approach, and discusses the problems faced by NER research in this domain, such as conjunction and disjunction, non-standardized naming convention, abbreviation, and massive nesting. Three future directions of NER in are proposed: (1) application of unsupervised or semi-supervised technology; (2) development of a more comprehensive ontology; (3) development of a more comprehensive model.

A Face Recognition Based on Fusion Features Extraction From Two Kinds of Projection

Abstract:

A novel face recognition algorithm based on two kinds of projection is presented in this paper. First, the two dimension principal component analysis (2DPCA) is used to extract one group of features, denoted by α. Second, the fisher linear discriminant analysis (LDA) , or fisherfaces, is used for extracting another group of features, denoted by β.After being standardized, the two kinds of features are combined together in the form of the complex vector α+iβ. Then the fusion features in the complex feature space is extracted by using complex PCA (CPCA). The proposed algorithm is evaluated by using the FERET face database at three different resolutions. The experimental results indicate that the proposed method can achieve about 10% higher recognition accurate rate than 2DPCA and LDA, while only using 28 features for each sample.

Informatization of Mechanical Product —Some Information Techniques for Mechanical Equipment

Abstract:

Mechanical engineering is the basic content in traditional industry in China. Especially, the development of mechanical equipment will confine the development of many fields in national economy. The information technology is a frontier subject with rapid progress, and has been penetrated into many domains. This paper discusses how to use information technology to motivate and develop the traditional mechanical engineering from the viewpoint of mechanical product, i. e. mechanical product informatization. The paper introduces in detail the connotation, characteristics and realization steps of informatization. Combining with some achievements in authors' research practice, the paper mainly analyzes information fusion and feature extraction during the process of mechanical product informatization. In the end, the paper proposes that the theoretical breakthrough is essential for assuring autonomous intellectual property and kernel techniques.

It brings forward that the pivots of quickening the construction of agriculture informationization are to manage the research of the preservation technique of agriculture information, develop agriculture information application technique and build the network for agriculture information spreading.

Building Information and Physical Model: A Novel Form of Information Description for Buildings

Abstract:

Information is the core element to drive human‒cyber‒physical collaborations and promote the orderly operation of building activities in the entire lifecycle of buildings. More realistic and efficient description and sharing of building information has always been an important theme pursued in the field of architecture. To meet the rapidly growing demand for interactive collaboration between virtual and real building conditions, this study proposes a novel form of information description for buildings, namely a building information and physical model (BIPM), for realizing the true mapping and collaboration from building physical entities to the information space. The BIPM is composed of a building basic information model, a physical model, and an interaction model, and unifies the description of the external geometric attribute information and the internal physical mechanisms of buildings. The theoretical foundation and key technical system of the BIPM are discussed, and the application effectiveness and benefits of the BIPM are demonstrated using building chillers as an example. Furthermore, the application ecologies and values of the BIPM are analyzed. Research suggestions are proposed as follows: (1) deepening the research on BIPM theories and key technologies, (2) formulating serialized BIPM standards and specifications, and (3) developing BIPM building industry software tools to expand the BIPM application ecosystem. This study is expected to provide support for the development of new basic software for the building industry,involving architectural design, construction, operation and maintenance, and urban digital twins.

The Theory, Methodology and Application of Agricultural Information Engineering

Abstract:

The era of information agriculture is commencing in the new century. Information agriculture will be the research frontier for the reasonable exploitation and utilization of agricultural resources, increase of crop yield, reduction of agricultural costs, mitigation of environment pollution and improvement of the international market competitive power of agricultural products. It is foreseen that biological engineering and agricultural information technology will be the two technical backbones for China's agriculture in the new century, and will be essential to realize China´s agricultural modernization. The agricultural information science, technology and engineering are brifly summarized in this paper. In the 21st century, China's agricultural information science, technology and engineering should closely follow the international frontier and implement span development :not only develop and apply existent agricultural information technologies, those internationally hotspot topics should also be studied and tested in advance, to speed up the agricultural modernization in China through the development of agricultural information engineering.

With the development and wide application of information science in agriculture as a new branch from agricultural technology system, agricultural information engineering has been gradually developed. It is a promising applied technology and an important technologyical support for realizing China's agricultural modernization. The scientifically combining of agriculture and information science created the science of agricultural information. The embodiment and application of information technology in all of the agricultural fields have pushed the development of agricultural information technology. Agricultural information engineering results from the research and application of agricultural information science and agricultural information technology. The basic contents of agricultural information science include the mechanism of agricultural information, information feature, information classification and coding, information reproducing and information linkage, etc. Agricultural information technology is associated with the technology of agricultural information resource acquisition and management, technology of information system, technology of information precise positioning, technology of agricultural auxiliary decision-making, computer modeling, simulation and virtual technologies, artificial intelligence and expert system technologies, automation technology, multimedia and network technologies, etc. The technological system of agricultural information engineering consists of agricultural information resource acquisition system, information management system, agricultural exploitation decision-making system, synthesis modeling system of regional resource exploitation, agricultural expert system and the virtual environment system of agricultural science knowledge innovation, etc.

The Technological Front Line and Development Strategy of Info-agriculture

Abstract:

Info-agriculture, the information technology system of agriculture,the technology front line of info-agriculture and the stratagem of Chinese info-agriculture have been introduced in this paper. In the part of info-agriculture ,this paper brings forward the basic conception of info-agriculture, and points out eight characters of info-agriculture. In the technology system of info-agriculture, the author puts forwarded five technology systems, that is, acquirement of information, management, transmission, development and application, industrialization and revelation. In the technology front line of info-agriculture, six problems have been discussed, that is, agriculture information mechanism needs to be researched in agriculture information science, the catalog system, standard and criterion of agriculture information, the error theory and agriculture information transfer, the relative theory of agriculture information, the theory of agriculture information flow control and agriculture information inversion. There are seven front line issues: crop growing model, aptitude expert system, virtual agriculture, integration of agriculture information technology, virtual agriculture information nets, precision agriculture, standard system of info-agriculture. In the strategy of info-agriculture in China, eight constructions of agriculture information technology should be developed, that is, extending the resource of agriculture information, building service center of agriculture information, management constructing national and provincial speedy system of agriculture, the expert system of agriculture, the development and construction of agriculture resource information, service system of agriculture, management information system of agriculture, educational net system of agriculture, and developing auto technology of agriculture.

A Study on the Essence of Optimal Statistical Uncorrelated Discriminant Vectors

Abstract:

A study has been made on the essence of optimal set of uncorrelated discriminant vectors in this paper. A whitening transform has been constructed on the basis of the eigen decomposition of population scatter matrix, which makes the population scatter matrix an identity matrix in the transformed sample space. Thus, the optimal discriminant vectors solved by conventional LDA methods are statistical uncorrelated. The research indicates that the essence of the statistical uncorrelated discriminant transform is the whitening transform plus conventional linear discriminant transform. The distinguished characteristic of the proposed method is that the obtained optimal discriminant vectors are orthogonal and statistical uncorrelated. The proposed method suits for all the problems of algebraic feature extraction. The numerical experiments on facial database of ORL show the effectiveness of the proposed method.

The meanings in three layers on information safety are given.  It is proposed that all management,  strategy and technology are necessary to implement information safety,  because the science of information safety is the merger of natural and social sciences.  The concept of information system which includes elements,  boundary,  working condition and relevant people is proposed.  The relation between the system and information safety is analyzed,  and an example about information safety in communication is given.  The procedure of safety designing is suggested.

Abstract:

Information Network has been grown up and spread out to the entire globe extremely swiftly in recent years. It has also very quickly turned out to be a world-wide new infrastructure of the society and made great influence to the ways people work, live, learn and think.The astonished phenomenon has been regarded as a real frontier and focus in science and engineering, extracting great attentions from science and engineering circle as well as the whole world.

An attempt is made in the paper to establish a new discipline, the information network engineering, based on the above phenomenon.First, the concept of information network is re-defined clearly here and then the working mechanism of information network is analyzed in depth. A comparative discussion on the functions embodied in human activities and that performed in information network is carried out and the working relationship between man and information network is found to be the socalled symbiosis. As a result of the analyses above, a list of the important issues and directions in information network engineering study is briefly summarized.
