Innovation and Its Management

Abstract:

Innovation is the core competence and development source of a future-oriented company. The definition, characters and types of innovation are presented at first. There are four types of innovation: product innovation, process innovation, management innovation and market innovation. The innovation capacity of an enterprise does not depend upon the creation of innovators and methodology of innovation only, but, more importantly, is determined by the culture, management and reward systems of innovation in the company. For an enterprise to position itself competitively in the quick changing market environment, it is essential that everyone in the company be involved in modern innovation strategies and practices. Changes initiated to make people more motivated at work also serve to increase the level of innovation. People are the most critical elements in the innovation process and could be trained for creation. The implementation of innovation includes four main phases: the generation and activation of creative idea, preparation to realize it, realization of creative idea and transfering innovation into practice. The success and fail factors of innovation are discussed. At last the innovation management as a new business is introduced.

Abstract:

The knowledge chain of science-technology-engineering-industry is studied in this paper based on their essences and meanings. It is pointed out that the connection of technology and engineering with economy is much tighter than that of science with economy. It is stressed that science-fundamental research is the transformation of capital to knowledge, and that the technology innovation is the transformation of knowledge to benefit and profit through market by the support of capital. Engineers are the important creators of new productive force and active pioneer of new industrial field. Engineers will confront with technology innovation at different levels, in different areas and on different scales. Much more attention must be paid to the creative work of engineers, especially in rapid economic growth period. The cultivation of a large number of qualified personnel in technology engineering is the requirement for promoting economic development and social progress.

Construction Management Technology Innovation Based on the Value Engineering

Abstract:

As a new management technology, value engineering has been used in many fields since the late 1940s, such as production and operations management, purchase of materials, product design and financial supervision, etc. , especially it has been widely spread in the area of construction. According to the foreign statistical data, using value engineering can reduce production cost by 30%. China is a developing country. Even though it is investing huge number of money with infrastructure every year, the value engineering hasn't been used in construction management. So this thesis discussed its application in the construction management in an attempt to promote and innovate the construction management technology in China.

A probe into the technological innovation strategy of China coal industry

Abstract:

Based on discussion and analysis of technological innovation and relevant strategic theories, this article investigated technological innovation and strategy issues of China's coal industry with the conclusion that the major differences in technological advancing stages should be prudently considered. The innovation strategy for advanced enterprises should be both leading innovation and imitative innovation. For other enterprises, imitative innovation would be the main strategy. The optimal situation for China's coal industry is technology integration cooperation between enterprises, universities and research institutes with the diversity of participants and engagements.

Abstract:

The national energy demand makes requests to Shenhua Group to develop heavy haul railway. The characteristic of heavy haul railway technology innovation determines that open innovation must be used. Building innovation platform to develop heavy haul railway technology is an indispensible choice. This paper introduces the general idea of technology innovation platform construction, including demand oriented, enterprise leading, resources integrating, project relying, efficient and sustainable innovation. The components of heavy haul railway including organization, personnel, funding and institution are discussed, and the innovation process of platform is analyzed. In the process of the heavy haul railway technology innovation platform construction and operation, Shenhua Railway forms a unique heavy haul railway technology innovation mode, produces a series of technical innovation effect, and effectively supports the enterprise strategic target realization. The Shenhua heavy haul railway technology innovation experience provides new ideas to the same type enterprises and the whole industry.

Abstract:

Shenhua heavy haul railway engineering based on its own actual needs, committed to research and develop whole sets of heavy haul railway technology, and focused on launching engineering technology innovation mainly about three aspects: the railway engineering construction technology, heavy-load transportation technology, construction and operation management technology. Series of technology innovation impelled Shenhua Group to master the core technology of overloaded railway as soon as possible, promoted enterprise’s development, and remarkable social benefits and economic benefits had been achieved as well. Shenhua group oriented system for heavy haul railway technological innovation, in which enterprises played the leading role, aiming at market demands, and combined the efforts of enterprises, universities and research institutes, and pursued scientific research project by engineering means.

A Discussion on the Conception and Measures of Industrial Technological Innovation

Abstract:

This paper consists of two parts. The first part defines the conception of the industrial technology innovation, summarizes 7 features of it, and then gives a more scientific and comprehensive definition of it. The second part discusses the three major measures of industrial technology innovation : First, the innovation of new product, which generalizes the classification, characters, definition and component elements of new product, as well as the ten steps of and the principles on innovation of product. Secondly, adoption of new technology, which involves establishment of research institute, attraction of scientific talents and comprehensive utilization of new technology, creation of international technical standard, update of machinery and arts and development of environmental technology. Thirdly, promotion of other innovations, which includes development of new markets, new suppliers and new managements.

The agro-food industry depends on the development of the manufacture industry, the development of the processing technology, the development of the food science and technology, and also the development of the modernization of agriculture. In order to realize a more prosperous society and to develop the agro-fcx>d industry,the first priority should be to build technical innovation system of agro-food industry. The necessity of the technical innovation system for agro-food industry, and the main problems lying in the agro-food industry were discussed in this paper. The detail suggestions,on how to quickly build the technical innovation system of agro-food industry was put forward.

Abstract:

Along with the time and the environment unceasing change and enterprise technology innovation competence's more requests, the technology innovation competence can not satisfy enterprise technology new requests, and therefore technology innovation competence renewal is enterprise's one kind of competence behaviors under the new requests.This article studied enterprise technology innovation competence renewal method under the new requests based on rough set theory, acquiring the renewal order with the minimal expense. The validity of the algorithm was given in the end.

Abstract:

The characteristics and the present situation of significant construction project technological innovation are analyzed in this paper. The core problem restricting significant construction project technological innovation is dissected. The basic framework of significant construction project-oriented technological innovation network is set up. Then the starting point, evolution path and integration method are analyzed. And the dynamic mechanism, the collaborative mechanism and the learning mechanism are discussed,which can provide useful theoretic reference to establish the new inter-organization coordinated technological innovation mode, and to improve the technological innovation efficiency of significant construction project.
