Study on Situations and Sustainable Development Strategies of China’s Fishery Environment

Abstract:

A fishery environment is a place on which the survival and reproduction of aquatic lives rely and is the foundation of fishery development. In general, the deterioration of the environmental quality of fishery waters in China has not yet been fundamentally curbed, and dissolved inorganic nitrogen and active phosphate are still the major indicators of pollution in fishery waters. Based on analyses of the status and variation trend of the fishery environment, in this review, we clarify the main factors that affect the sustainable development of China's fishery environment, such as development of construction projects, pollution of external sources, ecological disasters, and pollution accidents; identify major environmental issues in key areas of water; propose the idea of sustainable fishery environment based on green, low-carbon, and environmentally friendly development; establish the overall development goal and the specific development goals of two stages by 2025 and 2030; and put forward suggestions and measures including strictly controlling external pollution and aquaculture self-pollution, delineating the ecological conservation redline, improving the monitoring technology system, strengthening ecological rehabilitation, and implementing innovation projects of the fishery environment in China, hoping to provide references for the protection and management of China's fishery environment.

Zoning of Agricultural Resource and Environment in China

Abstract:

Problems in China’s agricultural resources and environment have become increasingly prominent, with distinct resource and environment constraints for regional agricultures. Based on regional differentiation in agricultural resource and environment characteristics, this paper divided the country into 10 first-level zones and 57 second-level zones at the county scale. The first-level zones were divided according to regional differentiation in climate and geotectonic. And the second-level zones differentiate in water resources, land resources, and environmental conditions. It analyzed the agricultural production conditions, types of resources and their different combinations, environmental production conditions, and existing problems in these zones. This study proposed the strategies of “optimizing the spatial layout of eastern, central, and western regions” and “improving Northeast China, regulating North China, and recovering South China”. Twenty-seven second-level zones, undertaking the supply of major agricultural products in China, were identified and labeled as “major agricultural developing regions in China”. The development direction and construction measures of the major agricultural developing regions in China were suggested to maintain and improve the health and sustainability of China’s agricultural production system.

Major Considerations in Development of City Gas in China

Abstract:

As a result of the advent of natural gas in China, the city gas faces a good situation of great development at the beginning of the 21 st century. Over 400 cities are involved in the overall planning of natural gas supply, but many careful considerations should be made at present. This article makes the analysis and discussion of the major problems existed, in the hope of attracting universal attention to decrease the risks existed in the construction of projects.

Causes and Control Strategies for Environmental Problems of Agricultural Producing Areas in Southern China

Abstract:

With the rapid development of Chinese economy, a large number of pollutants have entered the environment of agricultural producing areas and gradually exceeded its capacity limits, leading to substantial environmental problems and pollution incidents, as well as decline in output and quality of agricultural products, which has seriously impacts on the sustainable development of China’s agricultural production and rural economy. Urbanization in Southern China started early and developed rapidly, initially at the expense of the environment. Consequently, the problem of heavy metal pollution of soil becomes prominent and is aggravated by the widespread acid rain pollution in Southern China. This paper focuses on main agricultural producing areas along the Yangtze River and systematically discusses quality conditions of various environmental elements such as water, soil, and air. In addition, it investigates the causes of pollution from the aspects of natural factors and influences of human activities, and ultimately provides prevention and control strategies for the pollution, which can be of great significance in promoting the scientific nature of environmental pollution control in the agricultural producing areas in Southern China, ensuring agricultural sustainable development, quality safety of agricultural products, and ecological environment safety, and guaranteeing people’s health and safety.

Soil Pollution Risk Assessment and Comprehensive Prevention Strategy for Major Agricultural Producing Areas in North China

Abstract:

As the two largest “granaries” in China, the Northeast and Huang-Huai-Hai Plains are the main agricultural producing areas in North China, and the soil environmental risk management and control of these areas are vital to the national food security supply lifeline. This study analyzed the soil heavy metal pollution risks of main agricultural producing areas in North China by the potential ecological risk index method. The high-risk areas of Cd pollution are mainly distributed in Shenyang City in the east of Liaohe Plain, Jinzhou City and Huludao City in the south of Liaohe Plain, Shuangyashan in the Sanjiang Plain, Tianjin City in the Haihe Plain, and Xinxiang City in the southwest of the yellow river flood plain; Hg pollution high-risk areas are mainly distributed in Beijing and Tianjin of the Haihe Plain, and around the Shenyang City of the Liaohe Plain. The chemical industry, followed by the livestock and poultry industry, as well as the metal smelting and processing industry, is the major potential source of heavy metal pollution of soil in the Northeast and Huang-Huai-Hai Plains. This study proposed the “one area, one policy” pollution prevention strategy and key environmental protection projects from the aspects of environment monitoring and warning of agricultural products producing areas, clean production of industrial and mining enterprises, and comprehensive treatment of livestock and poultry pollution, which is based on local conditions and classification guidance. This study can provide important references for the strategic planning of sustainable development of the ecological environment of major agricultural producing areas in North China.

Keywords: 污染防治战略及重点环保工程。本研究对我国北方主要农产品产地生态环境可持续发展战略规划具有重要参考意义。     污染高风险区域主要集中分布于辽河平原东部沈阳市、南部锦州市与葫芦岛市,三江平原双鸭山市,海河平原天津市,以及黄泛平原西南部新乡市;Hg 污染高风险区域主要分布于海河平原北京市、天津市,辽河平原沈阳市周边化工行业是导致东北及黄淮海平原农产品产地土壤重金属污染主要潜在污染源,其次为畜禽养殖业、金属冶炼加工业。本研究从农产品产地环境监测预警、工矿企业清洁生产、畜禽养殖污染综合治理等方面,以因地制宜、分类指导为原则,提出了     ,是北方主要农产品产地,其土壤环境风险管控关系着全国粮食安全供给命脉。本研究通过潜在生态指数法分析了北方主要农产品产地土壤重金属污染风险,研究结果表明,Cd 污染高风险区域主要集中分布于辽河平原东部沈阳市、南部锦州市与葫芦岛市,三江平原双鸭山市,海河平原天津市,以及黄泛平原西南部新乡市    

Discussion on some basic problems about environmental geology

Abstract:

This paper discusses mainly the definition of environmental geology and geological environment and their relationship to relevant subjects, and expounds the position of geological environment in the whole natural environment of mankind and the importance of protecting geological environment in overall environmental protection. The paper emphasizes that the central task of protecting geological environment is preventing and controlling geological hazards and the basic way to prevent and control geological hazards is operating along the opposite direction of their formation. It is necessary to strengthen the forecast of geological hazards and to establish a scientific appraisal system for geological environmental quality and capacity.

The research on main engineering geological problems in dam-site of Three Gorges Project

Abstract:

The site geological investigation and research work of the Three Gorges Project (TGP) has lasted for more than 50 years, which catches wide attention at home and abroad due to its depth and extent. The research processes, approaches, contents and basic conclusions for the key engineering geological problems of dam site are briefly introduced, including the deep anti-sliding stability of dam foundation, the high slope stability of permanent ship-lock, the surrounding rock mass stability of the main plant of underground powerhouse and the faulted structures. Finally, an overall summarization and evaluation of the research are presented based on the situations of project construction, monitoring and operation.

Abstract: 认知心理学早已指出,人类知识记忆中的重要部分是视觉知识,被用来进行形象思维。因此,基于视觉的人工智能(AI)是AI绕不开的课题,且具有重要意义。本文继《论视觉知识》一文,讨论与之相关的5个基本问题:(1)视觉知识表达;(2)视觉识别;(3)视觉形象思维模拟;(4)视觉知识的学习;(5)多重知识表达。视觉知识的独特优点是具有形象的综合生成能力,时空演化能力和形象显示能力。这些正是字符知识和深度神经网络所缺乏的。AI与计算机辅助设计/图形学/视觉的技术联合将在创造、预测和人机融合等方面对AI新发展提供重要的基础动力。视觉知识和多重知识表达的研究是发展新的视觉智能的关键,也是促进AI 2.0取得重要突破的关键理论与技术。这是一块荒芜、寒湿而肥沃的“北大荒”,也是一块充满希望值得多学科合作勇探的“无人区”。

Study on Several Issues of EnergyProduction Revolution

Abstract:

The policies of the resources conservation and environmental protection, as well as the energy production and consumption revolution, are important guarantees for sustainable development of the energy industry. Based on the analysis of China’s energy production situation and the world’s energy development trend, this paper states the foundation of the energy production revolution, explains the meaning and strategic thinking of energy production revolution, including the green coal, the amount multiplication of petroleum and gas, the renewable energy with large proportion, the nuclear power, CO2 capture utilization and storage (CCS/CCUS), and the new-energy vehicles. Also, the strategic objectives in the near, medium and long terms, the key tasks, the supporting policies and the major proposals for the energy production revolution have been proposed.

Recognition of walking environments and gait period by surface electromyography Special Feature on Intelligent Robats

Abstract:

Recognizing and predicting the movement and intention of the wearer in control of an exoskeleton robot is very challenging. It is difficult for exoskeleton robots, which measure and drive human movements, to interact with humans. Therefore, many different types of sensors are needed. When using various sensors, a data design is needed for effective sensing. An electromyographic (EMG) signal can be used to identify intended motion before the actual movement, and the delay time can be shortened via control of the exoskeleton robot. Before using a lower limb exoskeleton to help in walking, the aim of this work is to distinguish the walking environment and gait period using various sensors, including the surface electromyography (sEMG) sensor. For this purpose, a gait experiment was performed on four subjects using the ground reaction force, human–robot interaction force, and position sensors with sEMG sensors. The purpose of this paper is to show progress with the use of sEMG when recognizing walking environments and the gait period with other sensors. For effective data design, we used a combination of sensor types, sEMG sensor locations, and sEMG features. The results obtained using an individual mechanical sensor together with sEMG showed improvement compared to the case of using an individual sensor, and the combination of sEMG and position information showed the best performance in the same number of combinations of three sensors. When four sensor combinations were used, the environment classification accuracy was 96.1%, and the gait period classification accuracy was 97.8%. Vastus medialis (VM) and gastrocnemius (GAS) were the most effective combinations of two muscle types among the five sEMG sensor locations on the legs, and the results were 74.4% in pre-heel contact (preHC) and 71.7% in pre-toe-off (preTO) for environment classification, and 68.0% for gait period classification, when using only the sEMG sensor. The two effective sEMG feature combinations were “mean absolute value (MAV), zero crossings (ZC)” and “MAV, waveform length (WL)”, and the “MAV, ZC” results were 80.0%, 77.1%, and 75.5%. These results suggest that the sEMG signal can be effectively used to control an exoskeleton robot.

Abstract:

“The main index of manufacturing power” is one task in a major consulting project called “manufacturing power strategy” in the Chinese Academy of Engineering , started in January 2013. The research group has held several seminars on the index system construction, the manufacturing power index evaluation, strategic paths. Based on the comprehensive study on the abroad index system and on the paths of the industrialized countries from weak to powerful, the research has analyzed the present situation of China Manufacturing in details, has proposed contents and features of manufacturing power, has constructed manufacturing power evaluation system, and has predicted the progress of manufacturing power in China. Combined with the results of the index system construction and evaluation, the research has also proposed strategic path to promote manufacturing power.

Multi-band Synchronization Model for Speech Recognition Under Noisy Condition

Abstract:

Based on perception characteristic of human ear, this paper proposes synchronization multi-band maximum likelihood linear regression algorithm for robust speech recognition under noisy condition. The algorithm utilizes maximum likelihood as estimation criteria to compensate the effects of noisy condition with multi-band synchronization model and noise corruption assumption. The tests show that the proposed algorithm improves the performance of recognition system effectively.
