Frontiers of Information Technology & Electronic Engineering 2019, Volume 20, Issue 10,   Pages 1331-1343 doi: 10.1631/FITEE.1900125

Abstract: s with tree or ring topologies play an important role in real-time ocean exploration. Due to the time-consuming need for field maintenance, technology that can actively switch the power on/off on certain branches of the network becomes essential for enhancing the reliability and availability of the network. In this paper, a novel switching-control method is proposed, in which we invert the power transmission polarity and use the current on the power line as the digital signal at low frequency to broadcast information with the address and commands to the network, and the corresponding (BU) can decode and execute the switching commands. The cable’s parasitic parameters, the network scale, and the number of BUs, as the influencing factors of the on the power line, are theoretically studied and simulated. An optimized frequency that balances the executing accuracy and rate is calculated and proved on a simulated prototype. The results showed that the technology with optimized frequency can enhance the switching accuracy and configuring rate.

Frontiers of Information Technology & Electronic Engineering 2022, Volume 23, Issue 9,   Pages 1338-1353 doi: 10.1631/FITEE.2100580

Abstract: In , more connections are built between metaheuristics and electromagnetic equipment design. In this paper, we propose a self-adaptive (SAGWO) combined with a novel optimization model of a 5G (FSS) based on FSS unit nodes. SAGWO includes three improvement strategies, improving the initial distribution, increasing the randomness, and enhancing the local search, to accelerate the convergence and effectively avoid local optima. In benchmark tests, the proposed optimizer performs better than the five other optimization algorithms: original (GWO), genetic algorithm (GA), particle swarm optimizer (PSO), improved (IGWO), and selective opposition based grey wolf optimization (SOGWO). Due to its global searchability, SAGWO is suitable for solving the optimization problem of a 5G FSS that has a large design space. The combination of SAGWO and the new FSS optimization model can automatically obtain the shape of the FSS unit with electromagnetic interference shielding capability at the center operating frequency. To verify the performance of the proposed method, a double-layer ring FSS is designed with the purpose of providing electromagnetic interference shielding features at 28 GHz. The results show that the optimized FSS has better electromagnetic interference shielding at the center frequency and has higher angular stability. Finally, a sample of the optimized FSS is fabricated and tested.

Abstract:

Terahertz (THz) technology is probably best known to the public as a powerful tool for imaging, since it has been applied in security and medical scanning, resulting in numerous impressive images that would be unobtainable using other technologies. With the roll-out of 5G mobile networks, research into 6G wireless communications is heating up. It is envisioned that THz technology will be used for 6G and future wireless communications. In this paper, we review how THz technology has been employed for imaging and wireless communications, identify state-of-the-art developments in the field, and then examine and compare common devices and issues in both applications. The possibility of integrating THz imaging/sensing and wireless communications is considered, and challenges and future perspectives are presented and discussed. It is shown that THz technology is indeed a key enabling technology for both imaging and wireless communications in the future.

Research on Prony’s method modeling in multi-target detection of stepped-frequency radar

Hu Tiling,Li Xingguo

Strategic Study of CAE 2008, Volume 10, Issue 10,   Pages 67-71

Abstract:

Stepped-frequency signal is a broad band signal which enhances range resolution of radar at the cost of increasing bandwidth. Baseband signal that is received in stepped-frequency radar can be thought of as the linear combination of exponential function which contains target information, while Prony algorithm is a mathematical mode which uses a linear combination of exponential function to describe equal space between sampling data. Extended Prony algorithm is applied to stepped-frequency radar, which can obtain more exact target information and overcome the shortcomings of using IDFT to synthesize high resolution range profiles. Corresponding modeling analysis and experiment simulation explain the advantages of Prony's method.

FrepJoin: an efficient partition-based algorithm for edit similarity join Article

Ji-zhou LUO, Sheng-fei SHI, Hong-zhi WANG, Jian-zhong LI

Frontiers of Information Technology & Electronic Engineering 2017, Volume 18, Issue 10,   Pages 1499-1510 doi: 10.1631/FITEE.1601347

Abstract: String similarity join (SSJ) is essential for many applications where near-duplicate objects need to be found. This paper targets SSJ with edit distance constraints. The existing algorithms usually adopt the filter-andrefine framework. They cannot catch the dissimilarity between string subsets, and do not fully exploit the statistics such as the frequencies of characters. We investigate to develop a partition-based algorithm by using such statistics. The frequency vectors are used to partition datasets into data chunks with dissimilarity between them being caught easily. A novel algorithm is designed to accelerate SSJ via the partitioned data. A new filter is proposed to leverage the statistics to avoid computing edit distances for a noticeable proportion of candidate pairs which survive the existing filters. Our algorithm outperforms alternative methods notably on real datasets.

Frontiers of Information Technology & Electronic Engineering 2021, Volume 22, Issue 2,   Pages 141-286 doi: 10.1631/FITEE.1900653

Abstract: A 0.20–2.43 GHz fractional- is presented for multi-band wireless communication systems, in which the scheme adopts low voltage-controlled oscillators (VCOs) and a with reduced . VCOs that determine the out-band of a phase-locked loop (PLL) based are optimized using an automatic amplitude control technique and a high-quality factor figure-8-shaped inductor. A CP with a mismatch suppression architecture is proposed to improve the current match of the CP and reduce the PLL phase errors. Theoretical analysis is presented to investigate the influence of the on the output performance of PLLs. Fabricated in a TSMC 0.18-µm CMOS process, the prototype operates from 0.20 to 2.43 GHz. The PLL synthesizer achieves an in-band of −96.8 dBc/Hz and an out-band of −122.8 dBc/Hz at the 2.43-GHz carrier. The root-mean-square jitter is 1.2 ps under the worst case, and the measured reference spurs are less than −65.3 dBc. The current consumption is 15.2 mA and the die occupies 850 µm×920 µm.

Masoud Kaveh, Abolfazl Falahati,afalahati@iust.ac.ir

Frontiers of Information Technology & Electronic Engineering 2021, Volume 22, Issue 7,   Pages 1010-1019 doi: 10.1631/FITEE.2000043

Abstract: Recently, bionic signals have been used to achieve covert underwater acoustic communication (UWAC) with high signal-to-noise ratios (SNRs) over transmission systems. A high SNR allows the attackers to proceed with their mischievous goals and makes transmission systems vulnerable against malicious attacks. In this paper we propose an based secure scheme that can resist current underwater attacks, i.e., replay attack, fabricated message attack, message-altering attack, and analyst attack. Security analysis is performed to prove that the proposed scheme can resist these types of attacks. Performance evaluations show that the proposed scheme can meet UWAC limitations due to its efficiency regarding energy consumption, communication overhead, and computation cost.
