Abstract
China has built the largest scale traffic infrastructure in the world. Owing to many factors, the security of major structures is becoming extremely challenging. This paper analyzes the current development of China’s transportation infrastructure, reviews research progress in related fields at home and abroad, discusses ways to guarantee the safety of the major civil structures during long service lives, and proposes the implementation objectives of a safety plan and key issues to be resolved.
