Efficacy and prognostic factors of imatinib plus CALLG2008 protocol in adult patients with newly diagnosed

摘要:

A CALLG2008 protocol was developed by the Chinese Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia Cooperative Group for adult acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL). We retrospectively analyzed 153 newly diagnosed adult patients with Philadelphia chromosome (Ph)-positive ALL enrolled into imatinib (400 mg/d) plus CALLG2008 regimen between 2009 and 2015. The median age was 40 years (range, 18–68 years), with 81 (52.3%) males. The overall hematologic complete remission (CR) rate was 96.7% after induction. With a median follow-up of 24.2 months, the estimated 3-year overall survival (OS) and event-free survival (EFS) rates were 49.5% (95% confidence interval (CI): 38.5%–59.5%) and 49.2% (95% CI: 38.3%–59.2%), respectively. Fifty-eight (36 with haploidentical donor) patients underwent allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (allo-HSCT) in first CR. Among the patients in CR1 after induction, both the 3-year OS and EFS were significantly better in the allo-HSCT group than in the without allo-HSCT group (73.2%, 95% CI: 58.3%–83.5% vs. 22.2%, 95% CI: 8.7%–39.6% and 66.5%, 95% CI: 50.7%–78.2% vs. 16.1%, 95% CI: 5.1%–32.7%, respectively). Multivariate analysis showed that allo-HSCT and achievement of major molecular response were associated with favorable OS or EFS independently. Interestingly, in the allo-HSCT cohort, the donor type (haploidentical versus matched donors) had no significant impact on EFS or OS. All these results suggested that imatinib plus CALLG2008 was an effective protocol for Ph-positive ALL. Haploidentical donors can also be a reasonable alternative expedient donor pool.

摘要:

针对干旱预测的难题,利用揭示大气热结构垂直特征的V-3θ图,分析影响旱区的气流特征。根据国际地球自转服务(IERS)的数据,分析地球极移、章动和转速的变化与大气热结构变化的关系,基于地气动量守恒原理,将大气热结构与地球转动特征变化进行了制约性分析。结果表明,大气热结构异常和地球转动特征引起的冷空气路径变化与大范围干旱有关。

2008年1―2月雪灾作物灾情遥感监测方法

文章利用北京1号遥感数据以及MODIS数据提取作物雪灾灾情的范围,并利用1月上旬的北京1号遥感数据监测作物种植成数,利用GVG农情采样系统调查作物受灾比例,然后结合耕地数据库计算了江西、湖北、湖南和贵州4个重点省份的作物受灾面积,分析了受灾的程度和影响因素。监测结果表明:江西、湖北、湖南和贵州4省农作物受灾总面积约429.76×104 hm2,此次雪灾造成的作物受害地区主要分布在冬小麦和油菜广泛种植的江汉平原、洞庭湖和鄱阳湖地区,作物受灾严重地区主要分布在海拔相对较高的山区和丘陵地带。比较而言,冬小麦因处

Practicality study on air-powered vehicle

摘要: To investigate the feasibility and outlook of air-powered vehicles including compressed air-powered vehicle and liquid nitrogen-powered vehicle, thermodynamic analysis and experiment data were used to analyze the energy density, performance, safety, running efficiency, fuel circulation economy and consumer acceptance, etc. The results show that compressed air and liquid nitrogen have similar energy density as Ni-H battery; the characteristics of an air-powered engine is suitable for driving a vehicle; the circulation efficiency of liquid nitrogen is 3.6%–14% and that of compressed air is 25%–32.3% in practice, and existing technology can assure its safety. It is concluded that though the performance of an air-powered engine is inferior to that of the traditional inert combustion engine, an air-powered vehicle is fit for future green cars to realize the sustainable development of society and environment.

A 14-year measurement of toxic elements in atmospheric particulates in Hong Kong from 1995 to 2008

摘要: Toxic elements in the atmosphere can enter and accumulate in the human body, seriously impacting human health. In this study, we analyzed a 14-year (1995–2008) measurement of three toxic elements (As, Cd and Cr) in PM in Hong Kong, China. The pollution of these toxic elements in Hong Kong was not serious. The trend analysis showed that As and Cr in PM increased at a statistically significant level ( <0.05) during the 14-year period, while the Cd in PM did not change significantly. Typical seasonal variations were observed for all three toxic elements, largely in relation to the Asian monsoon. Hourly 10-day backward trajectories were computed and categorised into four groups. The continental air masses showed much higher concentrations of the three toxic elements than the marine air masses. The abundances of As and Cd in the PM were much higher in the continental air masses than those in the marine air masses, while the abundances of Cr showed an opposite pattern. The trends of the three toxic elements in East China’s air mass were consistent with those in the overall data set of Hong Kong. Examination of the toxic element data recorded at urban sites and a roadside site also indicated a large contribution of external air masses to particulate As and Cd in Hong Kong. These results suggest that the long-range transport from the mainland of China is the dominant contributor to particulate As and Cd, while both local and long-distance sources determine the particulate Cr in Hong Kong.

Reliability-based design for automobiles in China

摘要: The level of automobile design and manufacturing is an important sign of leadership in science and technology and economic power. The achievements of theories and methods for reliability-based design of automobiles in China are reviewed. For reliability-based design, the theories and practices, optimization, sensitivity, and robustness are estimated. The techniques of reliability-based design for automobiles are developed. The techniques service to the “hollow” phenomena of kernel technology, product innovative power, and independent development power can be solved.

Reliability of foam posturography in assessment of postural balance in the patients with vertigo

摘要: The postural balance is a important aspect of assessment in vestibular rehabilitation therapy. As the computerized dynamic posturography, the foam posturography performed by using foam in posturography is a useful measurement tool for postural balance. Then, the reliability of foam posturography is critical in clinic. To our knowledge, there is no report about the test-retest reliability of foam posturography in the patients with vertigo in China. The foam posturography was taken on the patients with vertigo in stable state and repeated in 3 to 5 days. In the two assessments of test and retest, all subjects stood under 4 sensory conditions, such as firm surface with eyes open (T1), firm surface with eyes closed (T2), foam surface with eyes open (T3) and foam surface with eyes closed (T4) for 30 seconds respectively. The average sway velocity (SV) of center of pressure (COP) under feet of upright standing was recorded as research parameter. The results of patients with vertigo were compared with those of normal subjects. It demonstrated that all normal subjects did not fall in the two assessments. There were 10 of 34 patients with vertigo at least fell one time during the two assessments, and the SVs of these subjects did not taken the analysis of test-retest reliability. The results showed that: (1) The interclass correlation coefficients (ICC) of all 49 subjects including normal subjects and patients without falling were 0.887–0.973 according to the T1–T4 between two assessment. (2) The SVs between the normal subjects and patients were significantly different in the T2 ( = 2.018, = 0.049) and T4 ( = 3.905, < 0.001) in the first assessment and in the T4 ( = 3.715, = 0.001) in the second. And (3) the cases of falling between two assessments were not significant different ( = 0.073, = 0.787) in the patients with vertigo. It is concluded from this study that the foam posturography has high test-retest reliability to assess the postural balance in the patients with vertigo in stable state, indicating the foam posturography can be used as the valid means to assess the improvement of postural balance for patients with vertigo in the vestibular rehabilitation therapy.

Impregnation of thermoplastic resin in jute fiber mat

摘要: Impregnation rate of thermoplastic resin (polypropylene) in jute fiber mat and influence of relative factors on impregnation were studied, aiming to develop the continuous melt impregnation technique and to investigate the effect of impregnation rate and temperature on processing conditions and mechanical properties of natural fiber mat-reinforced thermoplastics. Influence of pressure on porosity of fiber mat and effect of melt viscosity on impregnation rate were also investigated. The modified capillary rheometer was used as apparatus and experimental data were analyzed based on the one-dimension Darcy’s law. Results showed that at a given pressure, the impregnation rate is inversely proportional to melt viscosity and jute fiber mat has higher porosity than glass fiber mat. The architecture, compressibility, permeability and fiber diameter of jute fiber mat were compared with those of glass fiber mat and their effects on impregnation were discussed further. It could be seen that the average diameter of jute fiber is much bigger; the porosity of jute fiber mat is significantly higher and inner bundle impregnation does not exist in jute fiber mat. Therefore, it is not difficult to understand why the impregnation rate in jute fiber mat is 3.5 times higher and permeability is 14 times greater. Kozeny constants of jute and glass fiber mats calculated based on the capillary model are 2950 and 442, respectively.

Use of gestalt in wayfinding design and analysis of wayfinding process

摘要: The authors brought forward the definition of “Gestalt space” and indicated this kind of space can be easily cognized. Three experiments showed that “classification” and “grouping” are the human strategies to solve wayfinding problems. “Similarity” and “Legibility” of the space are advantageous to help people to complete wayfinding tasks. The designer should provide the essential “Legibility” in Gestalt space, by using some techniques such as “break” and “accession” to settle the wayfinding problem.

Review on environmental policies in China: Evolvement, features, and evaluation

摘要: This article reviews the development of current environmental policies in China and the great progress made during 1979–2006. Applying lessons learned from industrialized countries to its own situation, China’s environmental policies have the following main features: (1) to explore command and control measures to their fullest extent, (2) to strive to raise funding for environmental protection, (3) to identify who should take accountability for environmental protection; (4) to encourage strategies of “combination of prevention and control” and “integrated utilization”, (5) to embrace openness in the field of environmental policy and early international cooperation. During the past 30 years, China’s environmental policies have evolved and deepened: status expanded the national basic policies of environmental protection by adding a sustainable development strategy, focus changed from pollution control to a combination of pollution control and ecological protection, method changed from end control to source control, scope changed form point source control to watershed and territory pollution control, and management style changed from primarily using executive power to using legal and economic measures. This article introduces how they are evaluated by the international community and provides the prospects of the policies.

Effect of rhizosphere on soil microbial community and pyrene biodegradation

摘要: To access the influence of a vegetation on soil microorganisms toward organic pollutant biogegration, this study examined the rhizospheric effects of four plant species (sudan grass, white clover, alfalfa, and fescue) on the soil microbial community and pyrene (PYR) biodegradation. The results indicated that the spiked PYR levels in soils decreased substantially compared to the control soil without planting. With equal planted densities, the efficiencies of PYR degradation in rhizosphere with sudan grass, white clover, alfalfa and fescue were 34.0%, 28.4%, 27.7%, and 9.9%, respectively. However, on the basis of equal root biomass the efficiencies were in order of white clover >> alfalfa > sudan > fescue. The increased PYR biodegradation was attributed to the enhanced bacterial population and activity induced by plant roots in the rhizosphere. Soil microbial species and biomasses were elucidated in terms of microbial phospholipid ester-linked fatty acid (PLFA) biomarkers. The principal component analysis (PCA) revealed significant changes in PLFA pattern in planted and non-planted soils spiked with PYR. Total PLFAs in planted soils were all higher than those in non-planted soils. PLFA assemblages indicated that bacteria were the primary PYR degrading microorganisms, and that Gram-positive bacteria exhibited higher tolerance to PYR than Gram-negative bacteria did.
