摘要: Post-synthetic functionalization or modification has been regarded as a promising strategy to treat surfaces of adsorbents for their applications in targeted adsorption and separation processes. In this work, a novel microporous adsorbent for carbon capturing was developed via functionalization of zeolitic imidazolate framework-91 (ZIF-91) to generate a hard/hard (metal-oxygen) structure named as lithium-modified ZIF-91 (ZIF-91-OLi compound). To this purpose, the ZIF-91 compound as an intermediate product was achieved by reduction of ZIF-90 in the presence of NaBH as a good reducing agent. Afterwards, acidic hydrogen atoms in the hydroxyl groups of ZIF-91 were exchanged with lithium cations via reaction of -BuLi compound as an organo lithium agent through an appropriate procedure. In particular, the as-synthesized ZIF-91-OLi operated as an excellent electron-rich center for CO adsorption through trapping the positive carbon centers in the CO molecule. DFT calculations revealed that the presence of lithium over the surface of ZIF-91-OLi adsorbent plays an effective role in double enhancement of CO storage via creating a strong negative charge center at the oxygen atoms of the imidazolate linker as a result of the lithium/hydrogen exchange system. Finally, the selectivity of CO /N was investigated at different temperatures, revealing the ZIF-91-OLi as a selective adsorbent for industrial application.

Zeolitic imidazolate framework-8 (ZIF-8) for drug delivery: A critical review

摘要: Zeolitic imidazolate framework-8 (ZIF-8), composed of Zn ions and imidazolate ligands, is a class of metal-organic frameworks, which possesses a similar structure as conventional aluminosilicate zeolites. This material exhibits inherent porous property, high loading capacity, and pH-sensitive degradation, as well as exceptional thermal and chemical stability. Extensive research effort has been devoted to relevant research aspects ranging from synthesis methods, property characterization to potential applications of ZIF-8. This review focuses on the recent development of ZIF-8 synthesis methods and its promising applications in drug delivery. The potential risks of using ZIF-8 for drug delivery are also summarized.

本研究旨在了解在焊接Grade 91(Gr.91)钢时,热影响区(HAZ)内不同的临界温度与第二相的稳定性之间的关系。IV型开裂出现在Gr.91钢的焊接热影响区。先前的研究表明,Gr.91钢的开裂失效与其抗蠕变性能有关,而Gr.91钢中第二相的稳定性对其抗蠕变性能有着举足轻重的影响。本研究运用计算热力学方法预测了Gr.91钢中的第二相,即M23C6相、MX相和Z相的稳定性。平衡凝固和Scheil凝固模拟方法分别被用于研究Gr.91钢在焊接过程中的相稳定性。本研究的模拟结果解释了Gr.91钢抗蠕变性能的影响机理,并为如何通过优化钢的成分、焊接和热处理工艺参数提高钢的高温抗蠕变性能提供了一种可行的解决方案。

Parametric study on the mixed solvent synthesis of ZIF-8 nano- and micro-particles for CO adsorption:

摘要: The room temperature synthesis of ZIF-8 micro- and nano-particles was investigated using a mixed methanol-water solvent system. ZIF-8 particles of good quality and high crystallinity were obtained. Response surface methodology was used to determine the effect of the synthesis conditions on the ZIF-8 yield, particle size distribution, and mean particle size. The ligand/metal salt molar ratio followed by the amount of sodium formate (the deprotonating agent) and then the amount of water (i.e., the composition of the mixed solvent) respectively had the largest effects on both the ZIF-8 yield and particle size. Results showed that mixing of solvents with different strengths in producing ZIF-8 crystals is a practical method to size-controlled synthesis of ZIF-8 particles. This method is more favorable for industrial-scale ZIF-8 synthesis than using excess amounts of ligands or chemical additives (like sodium formate). In addition, ZIF-8 samples with different mean particle sizes (100, 500, and 1000 nm) were used for CO adsorption and the mid-sized ZIF-8 particles had the highest adsorption capacity.

Pyrolysis transformation of ZIF-8 wrapped with polytriazine to nitrogen enriched core-shell polyhedrons

摘要: This work presents a simple effective strategy to synthesize -doped and shell-controlled carbon nanocages through a package baking approach. A green approach to synthesize core-shell ZIF-8@PTZ nanoparticles involves zinc contained ZIF-8 core wrapped by a N-enriched polytriazine (PTZ). Synthesized core-shell ZIF-8@PTZ nanoparticles are calcinated to further sublime zinc through PTZ shell and washed by HCl, leaving a porous carbon structure. At the meantime, hollow cavities were introduced into N-doped carbon polyhedrons via the sacrifice of ZIF-8 template (noted as ZIF-8@C/N-x). The electrochemical performance of the ZIF-8@C/N-x as supercapacitor electrode has demonstrated high energy density and specific capacitance, as well as a long-term cycleability showing 92% capacitance retention after 10000 cycles. There is a systematic correlation between micro-/meso-porosity of ZIF-8@C/N-x and their electrochemical performances.

>In situ growth of phosphorized ZIF-67-derived amorphous CoP/Cu2O@CF electrocatalyst

摘要: Transition metal phosphides have been extensively studied for catalytic applications in water splitting. Herein, we report an in situ phosphorization of zeolitic imidazole frameworks (ZIF-67) to generate amorphous cobalt phosphide/ZIF-67 heterojunction on a self-supporting copper foam (CF) substrate with excellent performance for hydrogen evolution reaction (HER). The needle-leaf like copper hydroxide was anchored on CF surface, which acted as implantation to grow ZIF-67. The intermediate product was phosphorized to obtain final electrocatalyst (CoP/Cu2O@CF) with uniform particle size, exhibiting a rhombic dodecahedron structure with wrinkles on the surface. The electrochemical measurement proved that CoP/Cu2O@CF catalyst exhibited excellent HER activity and long-term stability in 1.0 mol·L–1 KOH solution. The overpotential was only 62 mV with the Tafel slope of 83 mV·dec–1 at a current density of 10 mA·cm–2, with a large electrochemical active surface area. It also showed competitive performance at large current which indicated the potential application to industrial water electrolysis to produce hydrogen. First-principle calculations illustrated that benefit from the construction of CoP/ZIF-67 heterojunction, the d-band center of CoP downshifted after bonding with ZIF-67 and the Gibbs free energy (ΔGH*) changed from –0.18 to –0.11 eV, confirming both decrease in overpotential and excellent HER activity. This work illustrates the efficient HER activity of CoP/Cu2O@CF catalyst, which will act as a potential candidate for precious metal electrocatalysts.

摘要: 具体制备过程分为两步,首先通过真空辅助抽滤法在聚四氟乙烯(PTFE)基底上组装ZIF-8@rGO微球(ZGS)层,再采用聚二甲基硅氧烷(PDMS)交联溶液进行固定化处理。由于ZGS表面为微纳米阶层结构,所制备的ZIF-8@rGO@PDMS/PTFE(ZGPP)膜表面展现出超疏水性特性,当表面活性剂稳定的油包水乳液接触到膜表面时,微纳结构的超疏水膜表面会引起水-油界面不平衡
