Public perception of environmental issues across socioeconomic characteristics: A survey study in Wujin

摘要: In developing countries, there is controversy over the correct perception regarding environmental and developmental issues. Few studies have examined the perception of low-income nationals in regards to social and environmental issues. This paper looks at the relationship between socio-demographic factors and the groups’ perceived priority regarding environmental and social issues in Wujin County. The results indicated that most residents, specifically the young, government employed and the urban community consider environmental issues to be serious, especially in relation to air pollution and water pollution. Furthermore, many residents feel it is important to rank environmental problems that are related to other social and economic issues, and that environmental protection must be set as a priority in Wujin County. Compared to social issues, environmental concern was greater among the young, government employed, and the urban community, because of their higher education and affluence. In addition, 66.2% of residents consider environmental protection to be more important than economic development. Thus, environmental protection must be set as a high priority in Wujin County, in order to face the many social and environmental challenges inherent in development.

Perception of people for the risk of Tianwan nuclear power plant

摘要: A questionnaire survey of residents’ risk perceptions related to Taiwan nuclear power plant in China was carried out to explore the determining factors that affect individual risk perception. This study proposed to pursue a more comprehensive understanding of factors that affected individual risk perception to nuclear power plants. Covariance structure analysis was conducted using risk perceptions of nuclear power as dependent variable and including interest and knowledge levels of nuclear power, acceptability, benefit perception, trust in nuclear power operation, and trust in government as independent variables. The use of the hypothesis of Elaboration likelihood model (ELM) was also proposed. The results showed that persons with higher levels of interest and knowledge of nuclear power had their own perceptions of risk closely associated with acceptability and potential benefits of nuclear power. In contrast, persons with no interest in and knowledge of nuclear power would have risk perceptions related to their trust in nuclear operation and the government, which partially supported the ELM hypothesis. All these results indicated that the government in China plays an important role in rational risk perceptions, and well-designed communication of risks will help the public to be involved in risk management and improve people’s rational acceptance of risk.

摘要:

伴随信息化、大数据的蓬勃发展,“互联网+”智慧环保时代已经来临,作为数据来源的基础,“互联网+”智慧环保生态环境多元感知体系的发展和研究尤为重要。本文针对我国当前环境污染的特点和变化趋势,全面调研国内外生态环境多元感知技术的现状,分析我国在新型复合环境污染形势下对大气环境综合立体监测网络、快速环境监测技术、在线监测平台等方面的需求,系统评估我国环境监测体系差距、关键创新技术特征和发展趋势,重点考查大气、水体、土壤业务化监测和仪器分析的技术需求和瓶颈,提出了我国“互联网+”智慧环保生态环境多元感知体系的发展目标、发展思路和对策建议。

无人车自主定位和障碍物感知的视觉主导多传感器融合方法 Article

摘要: 人类驾驶与自主驾驶在对交通环境的理解方式上有着明显差别。首先,人主要通过视觉来理解交通场景,而机器感知需要融合多种异构的传感信息才能保证行车安全。其次,一个熟练的驾驶员可以轻松适应各种动态交通环境,但现有的机器感知系统却会经常输出有噪声的感知结果,而自主驾驶要求感知结果近乎100%准确。本文提出了一种用于无人车交通环境感知的视觉主导的多传感器融合计算框架,通过几何和语义约束融合来自相机、激光雷达(LIDAR)及地理信息系统(GIS)的信息,为无人车提供高精度的自主定位和准确鲁棒的障碍物感知,并进一步讨论了已成功集成到上述框架内的鲁棒的视觉算法,主要包括从训练数据收集、传感器数据处理、低级特征提取到障碍物识别和环境地图创建等多个层次的视觉算法。所提出的框架里已用于自主研发的无人车,并在各种真实城区环境中进行了长达八年的实地测试,实验结果验证了视觉主导的多传感融合感知框架的鲁棒性和高效性。

摘要: 感知是智能系统与现实世界的交互界面。如果没有复杂而灵活的感知能力,就不可能创造出高级的人工智能(AI)系统。最近,潘云鹤院士提出了AI 2.0的概念,其最重要的特征就是未来的AI系统应拥有类人甚至超人的智能感知能力。本文简要回顾了不同智能感知领域的研究现状,包括视觉感知、听觉感知、言语感知、感知信息处理与学习引擎等方面。在此基础上,论文对即将到来的AI 2.0时代智能感知领域需要大力研究发展的重点方向进行了展望,包括:(1)类人和超人的主动视觉;(2)自然声学场景的听知觉感知;(3)自然交互环境的言语感知及计算;(4)面向媒体感知的自主学习;(5)大规模感知信息处理与学习引擎;(6)城市全维度智能感知推理引擎。这些研究方向应在未来AI 2.0的研究规划中进行重点布局。

针对水下作业的新型机器人视觉感知框架 Research Article

水下机器人操作通常需要视觉感知(如目标检测和跟踪),但水下场景视觉质量较差,且代表一种特殊分布,会影响视觉感知的准确性。同时,检测的连续性和稳定性对机器人感知也很重要,但常用的基于静态精度的评估(即平均精度(average precision))不足以反映检测器的时序性能。针对这两个问题,本文提出一种新型机器人视觉感知框架。首先,研究不同质量的数据分布与视觉恢复在检测性能上的关系。结果表明虽然分布质量对分布内检测精度几乎没有影响,但是视觉恢复可以通过缓解分布漂移,从而有益于真实海洋场景的检测。此外,提出基于目标轨迹的检测连续性和稳定性的非参考评估方法,以及一种在线轨迹优化(online tracklet refinement,OTR)来提高检测器的时间性能。最后,结合视觉恢复,建立精确稳定的水下机器人视觉感知框架。为了将视频目标检测(video object detection,VID)方法扩展到单目标跟踪任务,提出小交并比抑制(small-overlap suppression,SOS)方法,实现目标检测和目标跟踪之间的灵活切换。基于ImageNet VID数据集和真实环境下的机器人任务进行了大量实验,实验结果验证了所作分析的正确性及所提方法的优越性。代码公开在https://github.com/yrqs/VisPerception。

A novel task-oriented framework for dual-arm robotic assembly task

摘要: In industrial manufacturing, the deployment of dual-arm robots in assembly tasks has become a trend. However, making the dual-arm robots more intelligent in such applications is still an open, challenging issue. This paper proposes a novel framework that combines task-oriented motion planning with visual perception to facilitate robot deployment from perception to execution and finish assembly problems by using dual-arm robots. In this framework, visual perception is first employed to track the effects of the robot behaviors and observe states of the workpieces, where the performance of tasks can be abstracted as a high-level state for intelligent reasoning. The assembly task and manipulation sequences can be obtained by analyzing and reasoning the state transition trajectory of the environment as well as the workpieces. Next, the corresponding assembly manipulation can be generated and parameterized according to the differences between adjacent states by combining with the prebuilt knowledge of the scenarios. Experiments are set up with a dual-arm robotic system (ABB YuMi and an RGB-D camera) to validate the proposed framework. Experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed framework and the promising value of its practical application.

Review of human–robot coordination control for rehabilitation based on motor function evaluation

摘要: As a wearable and intelligent system, a lower limb exoskeleton rehabilitation robot can provide auxiliary rehabilitation training for patients with lower limb walking impairment/loss and address the existing problem of insufficient medical resources. One of the main elements of such a human–robot coupling system is a control system to ensure human–robot coordination. This review aims to summarise the development of human–robot coordination control and the associated research achievements and provide insight into the research challenges in promoting innovative design in such control systems. The patients’ functional disorders and clinical rehabilitation needs regarding lower limbs are analysed in detail, forming the basis for the human–robot coordination of lower limb rehabilitation robots. Then, human–robot coordination is discussed in terms of three aspects: modelling, perception and control. Based on the reviewed research, the demand for robotic rehabilitation, modelling for human–robot coupling systems with new structures and assessment methods with different etiologies based on multi-mode sensors are discussed in detail, suggesting development directions of human–robot coordination and providing a reference for relevant research.

Understanding Farmers’ Perceptions and Risk Responses to Climate Change in China

摘要: Agriculture is likely to bear the brunt of the impacts of climate change. The extent to which these impacts are felt depends in large part on the extent of adaptation in response to climate change. The overall aim of this paper is to attempt to identify farmers’ knowledge, perceptions and risk responses towards climate change (or potential change). In order to achieve this goal, several specific objectives are pursued. First, the paper investigates whether or not farmers have perceived the long-term climate change and extreme weather events. Second, the paper describes how farmers respond to climate change and tries to assess the determinants of their adaptation. Based on data collected from a survey among farm households in three provinces in rural China, the findings demonstrate that farmers are aware of climate variability and identify the rising temperature, decreasing precipitation and the increasing frequency of drought. Only about 25% of farmers are willing to adjust their farming structures as a risk reaction. Household size, wealth, farm size, and the number of plots are found to be important factors that influence farmer adaptive capacity. Implications for policymaking on agriculture and adaptation to climate change will be to focus on providing farmers with information about the climate in time and facilitating enhancement of their adaptive capacity.

The influencing factors of the WTP for the risk reduction of chemical industry accidents in China

摘要: To explore the factors that influence respondents’ willingness to pay (WTP) for the risk reduction of chemical industry accidents, a questionnaire survey combined with contingent valuation and psychometric paradigm methods were conducted in the city of Yancheng, Jiangsu Province, China. Both traditional socioeconomic variables and perceived characteristics of the hazards were considered in this study, and a Tobit model was used to find the factors influencing WTP under three risk reduction scenarios. The results showed that three demographic characteristics, , , and , significantly affected the WTP for chemical risk reduction. In addition, three extracted public risk perception factors, , , and , also strongly affected the WTP. The mean WTP value increased as the magnitude of the risk reduction increased. The number of factors influencing the WTP decreased as the reduction level improved, and only the factor had a significant influence on the WTP for a higher level (80%) of risk reduction. The cost for chemical safety management of Yancheng was calculated, and the optimized risk reduction level was determined. These findings can assist governments and policy makers to formulate suitable strategies for risk control, to reach target groups of people to develop effective communication, and to provide specific references for the best investment for the security of local residents.

安全是“交通强国”国家战略实施的前提和基础。目前,世界范围内的铁路系统已将智能铁路作为重要发展方向之一,智能铁路在追求实现高效、便捷、经济、绿色等发展目标的同时,将安全作为铁路运输系统的核心竞争力和第一要务。本文阐述了智能铁路系统的发展现状和体系架构,在此基础上重点介绍了国内外铁路系统安全保障技术的发展趋势,总结并提出了基于实时数据驱动、智能计算、信息物理系统深度融合等先进理念的主动安全保障方法技术体系;最后,通过典型应用研究展示了铁路主动安全保障技术的先进性和可行性。

公共卫生应急精准防控与一体化管理

面对全球日益复杂且频发的突发公共卫生事件安全风险形势,公共卫生应急体系与能力的现代化建设至关重要,关系到国家总体安全保障水平的提高,因而是国家治理体系和治理能力现代化改革的急需。本文围绕新型冠状病毒肺炎疫情防控,从疫情监测报告系统、哨点监测与多点触发机制、面向个人的手机端应用程序3 个方面梳理了我国公共卫生应急防控的发展现状,深入探索了公共卫生应急精准防控与一体化管理的发展思路,并针对性地提出了对策建议。在精准化防控方面,需要综合传染病疫情时空建模和计算方法、疫情数据采集与信息统计、基层社区防控、应急资源保障等多方面需求落实防控措施;在一体化管理方面,要结合非常态下的社会治理信息采集与感知、数据分析与计算平台赋能、基层社会快速响应和指挥调度、疫情监测预警与态势预测、疫情风险的持续风险评估等实现全社会协同的公共卫生应急防控。研究建议,应加强数据与计算分析技术合力赋能疫情防控,实现精准感知管理;完善传染病监测报告系统建设;构建公共卫生治理的一体化防控体系。

Smart construction site in mega construction projects: A case study on island tunneling project of Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge

摘要: The construction sites of mega construction projects (MCP) often have numerous participants with interfacing work within a highly complex system. It is critical how to realize collaborative work and information sharing among such participants. The information and communication technologies (ICTs) provides a technical guarantee for solving this problem. Existing research has been achieved the partial processes digitization of construction site, but certain problems still exist: 1)information perception of the construction site is passive. 2) common collaboration and coordination problems in the construction industry have not been addressed. The emerging trends of ICTs have resulted in the integration of various computer technologies such as CPS, BIM, big data, and cloud computing into construction process, which would changes behavioral and management mode of construction sites. These new ICTs have been applied successfully in MCP, in particular, Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge project. A new management mode of construction sites is inspired by these case. In this paper, a new management mode of construction site for MCP has been proposed, namely, smart construction site. The ultimate goal of smart construction site is to accomplish safe, efficient and high-quality construction. This study put forward the conceptual framework for smart construction site, and have identified three key elements of smart construction site, including information support platform, collaboration work, and intelligent construction management. A case study on Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge project work as an evidence to support the practicability of the proposed mode. Significant contributions of this study is to propose a new management mode for MCP in construction industry, which would enrich the body of knowledge or the construction management community. Future research should be dedicated to further explore the potential of smart construction site in MCP management.
