Frontiers in Energy 2021, Volume 15, Issue 2,   Pages 396-404 doi: 10.1007/s11708-020-0715-y

Abstract: In the latter case, fuel spray auto-ignition behavior is an important index for engine operation reliabilityThe spray auto-ignition characteristics of RP-3 jet fuel and its three surrogates, the 70% mol -decaneExperimental results indicate that Surrogate 1 overestimates the auto-ignition propensity of RP-3 jetfuel, whereas Surrogates 2 and 3 show quite similar auto-ignition propensity with RP-3 jet fuel. Therefore, to capture the spray auto-ignition behaviors, DCN is the most important parameter to match

Hybrid embedding and joint training of stacked encoder for opinion question machine reading comprehension

Xiang-zhou Huang, Si-liang Tang, Yin Zhang, Bao-gang Wei,huangxiangzhou@zju.edu.cn,siliang@zju.edu.cn,yinzh@zju.edu.cn

Frontiers of Information Technology & Electronic Engineering 2020, Volume 21, Issue 9,   Pages 1267-1412 doi: 10.1631/FITEE.1900571

Abstract: Opinion question (MRC) requires a machine to answer questions by analyzing corresponding passages. Compared with traditional MRC tasks where the answer to every question is a segment of text in corresponding passages, opinion question MRC is more challenging because the answer to an opinion question may not appear in corresponding passages but needs to be deduced from multiple sentences. In this study, a novel framework based on is proposed to address such problems, in which a new hybrid embedding training method combining text features is used. Furthermore, extra attention and output layers which generate auxiliary losses are introduced to jointly train the stacked recurrent . To deal with imbalance of the dataset, irrelevancy of question and passage is used for . Experimental results show that the proposed method achieves state-of-the-art performance. We are the biweekly champion in the opinion question MRC task in Artificial Intelligence Challenger 2018 (AIC2018).

Rules Auto-conditioning Fuzzy Controller

Cheng Jin,Zhang Chenghui,Xia Dongwei

Strategic Study of CAE 2003, Volume 5, Issue 9,   Pages 78-81

Abstract:

According to the fuzzy theory and practical experience, the authors propose a rules autoconditioning fuzzy controller, whose dynamic performance and stability are all prior to the conventional PID controller and the basic fuzzy controller. It is also shown that the controller has good disturbance rejection properties and insensitivity to plant parameter variations. Both simulation and engineering prove that it is feasible actually and convenient to put into practical control project.

Variational Bayesian multi-sparse component extraction for damage reconstruction of space debris hypervelocity Research Article

Xuegang HUANG, Anhua SHI, Qing LUO, Jinyang LUO,emei-126@126.com

Frontiers of Information Technology & Electronic Engineering 2022, Volume 23, Issue 4,   Pages 530-541 doi: 10.1631/FITEE.2000575

Abstract: To improve the survivability of orbiting spacecraft against space debris impacts, we propose an impact method. First, a multi-area damage mining model, which can describe damages in different spatial layers, is built based on an infrared thermal image sequence. Subsequently, to identify different impact damage types from infrared image data effectively, the inference is used to solve for the parameters in the model. Then, an image-processing framework is proposed to eliminate errors and compare locations of different damage types. It includes an image segmentation algorithm with an energy function and an image fusion method with . In the experiment, the proposed method is used to evaluate the complex damages caused by the impact of the secondary debris cloud on the rear wall of the typical Whipple shield configuration. Experimental results show that it can effectively identify and evaluate the complex damage caused by , including surface and internal defects.

A virtual reality system for arm and hand rehabilitation

Zhiqiang LUO, Chee Kian LIM, I-Ming CHEN, Song Huat YEO

Frontiers of Mechanical Engineering 2011, Volume 6, Issue 1,   Pages 23-32 doi: 10.1007/s11465-011-0202-6

Abstract:

This paper presents a virtual reality (VR) system for upper limb rehabilitation. The system incorporates two motion track components, the Arm Suit and the Smart Glove which are composed of a range of the optical linear encoders (OLE) and the inertial measurement units (IMU), and two interactive practice applications designed for driving users to perform the required functional and non-functional motor recovery tasks. We describe the technique details about the two motion track components and the rational to design two practice applications. The experiment results show that, compared with the marker-based tracking system, the Arm Suit can accurately track the elbow and wrist positions. The repeatability of the Smart Glove on measuring the five fingers’ movement can be satisfied. Given the low cost, high accuracy and easy installation, the system thus promises to be a valuable complement to conventional therapeutic programs offered in rehabilitation clinics and at home.
