Facile synthesis of polyaniline nanorods to simultaneously enhance the mechanical properties and wear

Frontiers of Chemical Science and Engineering 2023, Volume 17, Issue 9,   Pages 1254-1266 doi: 10.1007/s11705-023-2297-3

Abstract: To enhance the mechanical properties and wear resistance of epoxy resin, polyaniline nanorods were firstSeveral measurements were conducted to investigate the phase structures and compositions of polyanilineThe results confirmed that the as-synthesized polyaniline exhibited representative rod-like morphologiesThe wear rate was increased first and then decreased along with polyaniline nanorods, presenting theThis study tried to broaden the applications of polyaniline nanorods in the field of tribology.

Frontiers of Chemical Science and Engineering 2021, Volume 15, Issue 1,   Pages 118-126 doi: 10.1007/s11705-020-1916-y

Abstract: To enhance the solubility of polyanilines (PANI), polymeric ionic liquid (PIL) was introduced into the polymerization synthesis of PANI with various proportions. The structure and properties of the modified PANIs were characterized by H NMR, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, thermogravimetric analysis, ultraviolet-visible spectrum, etc. It was found that the obtained PANIs doped with PILs were soluble in various organic solvents such as , -dimethyl formamide and acetonitrile. Compared with the pure PANI, the PANIs doped by PILs showed remarkable solubility and their chemical structure and conductivity kept integrated.
