Frontiers of Information Technology & Electronic Engineering 2021, Volume 22, Issue 8,   Pages 1104-1113 doi: 10.1631/FITEE.2000229

Abstract: This paper presents a study of s in submillimeter and terahertz bands. To show the necessity of improving the mechanical properties of the coupler’s branch in submillimeter and terahertz bands, a comprehensive study regarding the displacement of hybrid branch variation with varying width-length ratio and height-length ratio has been completed. In addition, a modified is designed and presented. Compared with the traditional branch structure, the proposed hybrid consists of a modified middle branch with circular cutouts at the top and bottom on both sides instead of the traditional rectangle branch, which increases the branch size and improves its while achieving the same performance. Simulation results show that the deformation of the modified hybrid branch is 22% less than those of other traditional structure designs under the same stress. In practice, a vibration experiment is set up to verify the of hybrid couplers. Measurement results show that the experiment deteriorates the coupling performance. Experimental results verify that the performance of the novel structure coupler is better than that of a traditional structure branch hybrid coupler under the same electrical properties.

Frontiers of Information Technology & Electronic Engineering 2022, Volume 23, Issue 11,   Pages 1658-1672 doi: 10.1631/FITEE.2200026

Abstract:

This paper describes a route planner that enables an to selectively complete part of the predetermined tasks in the operating ocean area when the local path cost is stochastic. The problem is formulated as a variant of the . Based on the (GA), we propose the greedy strategy based GA (GGA) which includes a novel rebirth operator that maps infeasible individuals into the feasible solution space during evolution to improve the efficiency of the optimization, and use a differential evolution planner for providing the deterministic local path cost. The uncertainty of the local path cost comes from unpredictable obstacles, measurement error, and trajectory tracking error. To improve the robustness of the planner in an uncertain environment, a sampling strategy for path evaluation is designed, and the cost of a certain route is obtained by multiple sampling from the probability density functions of local paths. Monte Carlo simulations are used to verify the superiority and effectiveness of the planner. The promising simulation results show that the proposed GGA outperforms its counterparts by 4.7%–24.6% in terms of total profit, and the sampling-based GGA route planner (S-GGARP) improves the average profit by 5.5% compared to the GGA route planner (GGARP).

Strategic Study of CAE 2005, Volume 7, Issue 11,   Pages 81-86

Abstract:

In order to use the non-touch electromagnetic emission (EME) method to better forecast or predict the danger of coal or rock dynamic disaster such as coal or gas outburst, rock or coal outburst and so on, the direction and location of dangerous areas, that is, how to ascertain the monitoring direction and position for EME, is studied. The research results show that according to the computation for the changing rules of EME signals in various directions by means of the coupling equation between EME and stress, and the EME numerical results comparisons for the designated monitored spot, the best monitoring direction and the direction with most stress or maximum dangers can be ascertained. When dynamically monitoring the EME signals in tunnel head-on in the course of tunnel excavation, the monitoring antenna should be laid at the middle height of tunnel and faced with the coal stratum direction. The outburst danger can be monitored by altering the antenna monitoring direction. The available scope of prediction distance can be determined in light of the stress concentration ascertained by numerical simulation for stress field. The EME measuring results on the spot show that it is feasible to study the direction and location of dangerous areas in predicting the danger of coal or rock dynamic disaster by means of the coupling between EME and stress.

High Sensitive Electron-Bombarded CCD for Low Light Level Imaging

Zhou Liwei,Liu Guangrong,Gao Zhiyun,Wang Zhongchun

Strategic Study of CAE 1999, Volume 1, Issue 3,   Pages 56-62

Abstract:

The present paper reviews the recent developments of electron-bombarded charge coupled devices (EBCCD) for low-light-level imaging. The EBCCD eliminates the complicated image transfer chain associated with conventional image intensifier fibrecoupled CCD (ICCD) by integrating a thinned back-illuminated CCD directly into the vacuum of the image tube in replacement of the phosphor screen. The photoelectrons emitted from the photocathode are “proximity focusing” or “sharp focusing” directly onto the electron sensitive CCD, and the video-signal occurs. It has been shown that the EBCCD image tubes offer nearly noiseless gain, high signal to noise ratio and excellent MTF and, for this reason, are superior to conventional ICCD approaches under all light level conditions. This paper will give a detailed description on the thinned back-illuminated CCD imager design and fabrication, such as CCD chip thinning and thinned CCD backside treatment, as well as the technical parameters of different kinds of inverter type EBCCD. The performance of the proximity type EBCCD, the inverter type EBCCD and ICCD will also be compared and analyzed. Finaly, the present paper shows that these new, high performance devices of EBCCD are in an advantageous position for many applications in low-light-lev-el surveillance imaging, high energy physics and medical diagnostics.

Frontiers of Information Technology & Electronic Engineering 2020, Volume 21, Issue 8,   Pages 1119-1266 doi: 10.1631/FITEE.1900210

Abstract: (CKD) is a widespread renal disease throughout the world. Once it develops to the advanced stage, serious complications and high risk of death will follow. Hence, early screening is crucial for the treatment of CKD. Since ultrasonography has no side effects and enables radiologists to dynamically observe the morphology and pathological features of the kidney, it is commonly used for kidney examination. In this study, we propose a novel convolutional neural network (CNN) framework named the to screen CKD based on images. This introduces a texture branch into a typical CNN to extract and optimize texture features. The model can automatically generate texture features and deep features from input images, and use the fused information as the basis of classification. Furthermore, we train the base part of the network by means of , and conduct experiments on a dataset with 226 images. Experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed approach, achieving an accuracy of 96.01% and a sensitivity of 99.44%.

Abstract:

Based on the electromagnetic model for four-port resonant filter, the optical characteristics of several filters with rectangular cascade resonators have been numerically simulated by utilizing two-dimensional FDTD method. The relationship between the number of cascade resonators and the filtering features is analyzed. The narrow-band filter with four cascade resonators implemented on GaAlAs/GaAs planar waveguide is designed and fabricated. The experiment result shows the half-width of filtering spectrum for the chip is about 10 nm, which coincides well with that of the simulation.

Correspondence: Monopulse transmitarray antenna fed by aperture-coupled microstrip structure Correspondence

Na KOU, Shixing YU, Zhao DING, Zhengping ZHANG,nkou@gzu.edu.cn,sxyu1@gzu.edu.cn,zding@gzu.edu.cn,zpzhang@gzu.edu.cn

Frontiers of Information Technology & Electronic Engineering 2022, Volume 23, Issue 3,   Pages 502-510 doi: 10.1631/FITEE.2000547

Abstract: Monopulse technique, also known as the simultaneous beam comparison method, is used mainly to measure the direction of arrival (DOA) (Sherman and Barton, 2011). Before the advent of monopulse technology, the method most widely used in radar direction finding was the lobe-switching technique (sequential lobing) (Lo, 1999). Compared with the sequential lobing method, the monopulse antenna can obtain information such as the pitch angle, azimuth angle, and distance of the target in a single pulse period (Vazquez-Roy et al., 2019). Due to the need for higher accuracy of angle measurement, the monopulse technique has been widely applied in SOTM missile guidance (Roy et al., 2019). When a monopulse system is working, multiple independent channels are adopted to receive signals reflected by targets at the same time. Then signals enter the comparator and finally the distance and angle information of targets can be obtained. There are three main types of monopulse antennas: lenses, reflectors, and arrays. A dielectric lens is generally a convex lens (Raman et al., 1998), which is difficult to manufacture due to its curved shape, high volume, and large mass. For common reflectors such as dish antennas, the feed and supporting structure are in front of the aperture, so a shielding effect will result in energy loss, sidelobe increase, and angle measurement error (Kou and Cheng, 2019). A more effective reflector is the Cassegrain antenna, which is more compact with dual reflectors (Zheng et al., 2016, 2017). However, the Cassegrain antenna has the problem of shielding effect caused by a secondary reflector and support rods. With growing demand for low cost and lightweight monopulse antennas in modern radar and telecommunications systems, array antennas are increasingly applied in monopulse antennas due to their characteristics of high gain and easy control of the beam direction. A typical example is the waveguide slot array, which has the advantages of low loss, low sidelobe level, and no aperture shielding problem (Vosoogh et al., 2018). The microstrip has attracted much attention in monopulse antennas because of its advantages of low profile, simple structure, and low cost (Yu et al., 2009; Kumar and Kumar, 2018). However, monopulse microstrip array antennas usually have a complex feed network, which often makes them large and expensive. In addition, substrate integrated waveguides (SIWs) (Cao et al., 2017; Zhu et al., 2018; Liu et al., 2019; Yang et al., 2019) and leaky wave antennas (LWAs) (Poveda-García et al., 2019) have been applied in monopulse antennas, with good results. Recently, reflectarrays have been proposed for use in monopulse antennas, and have shown good performance (Zhao et al., 2017, 2018). As an alternative to reflectarrays, transmitarrays not only have the advantages of reflectarrays, but also have no shielding effect from the feeds. Di Palma et al. (2016) proposed a 400-element reconfigurable transmitarray antenna to synthesize monopulse radiation patterns. However, the sum and difference patterns generated by the reconfigurable transmitarray antenna, which is controlled electronically by switches instead of by a SUM-DIFF comparator, are in time division.

Frontiers of Information Technology & Electronic Engineering 2021, Volume 22, Issue 9,   Pages 1260-1269 doi: 10.1631/FITEE.2000292

Abstract: This paper presents a methodology of designing an integrated with a filter using an active . The filter is directly coupled to the active device, and the integrated filter can achieve filtering as well as matching functionalities, simultaneously, eliminating the need for separate matching networks. The filter is represented by an active , with additional columns and rows in the matrix corresponding to the active transistor. The matrix can be used to calculate the S-parameter responses (i.e., the return loss and the gain) and the initial dimensions of the integrated device. Moreover, the integration of a filter and an leads to a reduced loss and a more compact architecture of the devices. An X-band filter has been designed and demonstrated as an example. technology has been chosen because of its appealing advantages of easy fabrication, low cost, and most importantly, easy integration with active devices.

Strategic Study of CAE 2012, Volume 14, Issue 4,   Pages 105-112

Abstract:

It has been proved by successful experimental study and application of the new fracturing technology, which create two fracture, significantly improving contact area between fracture and low permeability reservoir, and increasing productivity as well. Normally the permeability of the low permeability block in the Changqing oil field is below 0.5 mD by low-permeable cores analysis. It is a tough task to development the oil through the general methods due to geological condition, watering well distribution and fracturing technology. Volume fracturing is proposed to increase the productivity by multiple crack fracturing since 2006 in Changqing oil field. The fracture initiated from the hole by the perforating shot, then turn the direction of the maximum level principal stress in the physical model research. Two lines of perforating shot are fired in the different depth of the oil reservoir, with an angular between the shots and the maximum level principal stress, liking letter “X”, paralleling in the distance. The oriented perforating technology for the multiple crack fracturing is presented and applied in the Changqing oil field. It is proved that multiple crack created by the downhole microseismic monitoring, productivity also increased 38.1 % compared to the adjacent by oriented perforating and multiple crack fracturing, the characteristics of the reservoir has been analyzed.
