Frontiers of Information Technology & Electronic Engineering 2021, Volume 22, Issue 4,   Pages 527-547 doi: 10.1631/FITEE.2000444

Abstract: In recent years, the conventional degrees of freedom in frequency and time have been fully used. It is difficult to further improve the performance of communication systems with such degrees of freedom. , which provides a new degree of freedom for millimeter-wave (mmWave) wireless communication systems, has been recognized as a key enabling technique for future mobile communication networks. By combining OAM beams that have theoretically infinite and mutually orthogonal states with the strategy, a new OAM-GSM mmWave wireless communication system is designed in this paper. A model of the OAM-GSM system is established based on channel flip precoding. The , , and BER of the proposed OAM-GSM mmWave wireless communication system are simulated. Numerical results show that, compared with traditional GSM systems, the OAM-GSM system has more complex transmission and reception mechanisms but the and maximum achievable are increased by 80% and 54%, respectively, and the BER drops by 91.5%.

Gao Dan,Cao Yuanyuan

Strategic Study of CAE 2006, Volume 8, Issue 4,   Pages 63-67

Abstract:

The design of dynamic output-feedback controller is investigated for the descriptor fuzzy TS models. By transforming the design problem into the feasible solution problems to a set of linear matrix inequalities, the properly stabilizing output controllers are obtained. The resulting closed-loop system can be ensured to satisfy certain performance index and locate at the required pole-placement region.

High efficiency spreading spectrum modulation based on double orthogonal complex sequences

Shi Xiaohong

Strategic Study of CAE 2012, Volume 14, Issue 3,   Pages 108-112

Abstract:

This paper presents a kind of high efficiency spreading spectrum modulation scheme using double orthogonal complex sequences (DoCS). In this scheme, input data bit-stream is split into many groups with length M. Each group is then mapped into a word of width M and then utilized to select one sequence from 2M-2 DoCS sequences each with length L. After that, the selected sequence is modulated on carrier in QPSK(quadrature phase shift keying) mode. In addition, a novel method named forward phase correction (FPC) is put forward for carrier recovery.

Frontiers of Information Technology & Electronic Engineering 2019, Volume 20, Issue 4,   Pages 458-471 doi: 10.1631/FITEE.1800407

Abstract:

Silicon photonics is a promising technology to address the demand for dense and integrated nextgeneration optical interconnections due to its complementary-metal-oxide-semiconductor (CMOS) compatibility. However, one of the key building blocks, the silicon modulator, suffers from several drawbacks, including a limited bandwidth, a relatively large footprint, and high power consumption. The graphene-based silicon modulator, which benefits from the excellent optical properties of the two-dimensional graphene material with its unique band structure, has significantly advanced the above critical figures of merit. In this work, we review the state-of-the-art graphenebased silicon modulators operating in various mechanisms, i.e., thermal-optical, electro-optical, and plasmonic. It is shown that graphene-based silicon modulators possess the potential to have satisfactory characteristics in intra- and inter-chip connections.

Generalized Plastic Mechanics and Its Application

Zheng Yingren,Kong Liang

Strategic Study of CAE 2005, Volume 7, Issue 11,   Pages 21-36

Abstract:

The development of geotechnical plasticity is reviewed and some problems of applying the classic plastic mechanics to geomaterials are analyzed, and then its three hypotheses not fit for the deformation mechanism of geomaterials are pointed out. By giving up the three hypotheses, a generalized plastic potential theory can be obtained from solid mechanics directly, and then the traditional plastic mechanics can be changed to a more generalized plastic mechanics, namely generalized plastic mechanics (GPM). The GPM adopts the component theory as theoretical base, so it can reflect the influence of transition of stress path. The unreasonable phenomena such as excessive dilatancy caused by adopting the normality-flow law can be avoided, and the error caused by the arbitrary assumption of plastic potential surfaces cannot be produced. The yield surface theory, hardening laws and stress-strain relations of GPM are given, and a GPM including the rotation of principal stress axes is also established. It is pointed out that the yield condition is a state parameter as well as a test parameter, and it can only be given by test. After the practical application, it is shown that the GPM can not only be applied to the modeling theory of geomaterials but also to other fields of geomechanics, such as limit analysis.

Strategic Study of CAE 2023, Volume 25, Issue 2,   Pages 59-66 doi: 10.15302/J-SSCAE-2023.02.007

Abstract:

Owing to historical reasons and investment restrictions, China’s aerospace industry initially focused on space technology and application, with insufficient emphasis on space science; therefore, space science, technology, and application developed independently. The development of space technology should be deeply integrated into space science and application, thus to strengthen China’s aerospace industry and create new opportunities and achievements. This study explores the implications of space science, space technology, and space application and clarifies their interrelationships. Moreover, it systematically analyzes the development trend in space science, technology, and application worldwide and reviews the development situation of space-related fields in China. Based on this, it examines the necessity for coordinating the development of space science, technology, and application in China and summarizes the major challenges. Considering their overlapping needs and mutual promotion, space science, technology, and application should be coordinated throughout the process of planning, deployment, and implementation. First, the advantages of the new national system should be exploited to conduct top-level planning under unified management. Second, the innovation-driven development strategy should be insisted to promote the international competitiveness of China’s aerospace industry through technological progress. Third, basic research in the space field should be strengthened and high-level scientists and engineers should be cultivated. Lastly, resource planning and coordination should be strengthened to promote the rational opening and full utilization of space application data.

Generalized method of urban air pollutant source tracking and integration approach of nudging source assimilation

Xu Xiangde,Ding Guoan

Strategic Study of CAE 2012, Volume 14, Issue 10,   Pages 10-22

Abstract:

An ensemble platform on generalized source tracking of urban air pollutants and an emission source assimilation with application of satellite remote sensing has been proposed. The ensemble platform of generalized urban air pollutant source tracking is built on principal factor analysis of aerosol emissions, aerosol variation spectrum analysis, feature analysis on aerosol changes with phase within urban canopy layer, wind vectors correlating with remote pollutant transport, back forward trajectories and boundary layers affecting the foot mark methods. Also, in order to reduce the emission source uncertainties, which is a key difficulty in air quality modeling, the Newton approximation nudging technology has been applied in the air pollutant modeling based on the seasonal or monthly SO2 and NO2 emissions, and the remote sensing data of air pollutants have been applied on the data assimilation in air pollutant modeling. The integration approach with remote sensing and ground based observations could be used in the research on urban air pollutant tracking, urban haze and heat island. The comprehensive analysis of land water air cycles is attempted as an exploratory study on water pollutant source tracking.

Low complexity robust adaptive beamforming for general-rank signal model with positive semidefinite constraint Article

Yu-tang ZHU,Yong-bo ZHAO,Jun LIU,Peng-lang SHUI

Frontiers of Information Technology & Electronic Engineering 2016, Volume 17, Issue 11,   Pages 1245-1252 doi: 10.1631/FITEE.1601112

Abstract: We propose a low complexity robust beamforming method for the general-rank signal model, to combat against mismatches of the desired signal array response and the received signal covariance matrix. The proposed beamformer not only considers the norm bounded uncertainties in the desired and received signal covariance matrices, but also includes an additional positive semidefinite constraint on the desired signal covariance matrix. Based on the worst-case performance optimization criterion, a computationally simple closed-form weight vector is obtained. Simulation results verify the validity and robustness of the proposed beamforming method.
