Jefferson S. Souza, Moises C. Bezerril, Mateus A. Silva, Frank C. Veras, Abel Lima-Filho, Jorge Gabriel Ramos, Alisson V. Brito,alissonbrito@ci.ufpb.br

Frontiers of Information Technology & Electronic Engineering 2021, Volume 22, Issue 7,   Pages 1002-1009 doi: 10.1631/FITEE.2000149

Abstract: This work presents the application of the technique named signal analysis based on using density of maxima to analyze brushless direct current motors. It uses a correlation coefficient estimated from the density of maxima of the current signal. This study demonstrates in experiments the speed estimation of a brushless motor on a testbench and in a small flying drone. The experimental results demonstrate that it is possible to estimate the speed in 97.8% of the cases and to detect failure in 82.75% of the analyzed cases.

Study on auto-disturbances-rejection AC adjustable speed based on speed sensorless direct torque control

Dai Juchuan,Wu Xinkai,Wen Li

Strategic Study of CAE 2009, Volume 11, Issue 4,   Pages 91-95

Abstract:

In direct torque control system, the PID controller is often adopted to be the speed adjuster. When disturbances are thrown to the motor, a long time is taken to renew the motor to steady state. In this paper, new auto-disturbance-rejection controller (ADRC) is introduced into direct torque control system. Instead of PID speed adjuster, ADRC speed adjuster is designed. The speed observer is designed based on model reference adaptive system (MRAS), too. The performance difference is analyzed between PID controller and ADRC in speed sensorless direct torque control system. The simulation results show that the AC speed adjustable system has speedier response performance, stronger disturbance-rejection performance when ADRC is adopted. Moreover, according to simulation results, there is smaller warp between motor command speed and actual speed when motor parameters perturb.

Calculation Method of Explosively Formed Projectile Velocity

Zhao Huiying,Shen Zhaowu

Strategic Study of CAE 2007, Volume 9, Issue 8,   Pages 62-65

Abstract:

From the theory of instantaneous expansion of detonation product and momentum conservation,  this paper obtains velocity calculation model of explosively formed projectile (EFP) and the model is revised due to the influence of the ratio of charge altitude to charge diameter.  This paper calculates the velocities of EFPs formed by large apex angle liner and sphere liner through the velocity calculation model and the results are consistent with the numerical simulation and experiment results.  This velocity calculation model is applicable in engineering.

The Influence of Flow Velocity on Response Sensitivity of Smoke Detectors

Xie Qiyuan,Su Guofeng,Yuan Hongyong,Zhang Yongming

Strategic Study of CAE 2005, Volume 7, Issue 11,   Pages 76-80

Abstract:

The objective of the work was to evaluate the performance of photoelectric and ionic smoke detectors at different flow velocities through the Fire Emulator/Detector Evaluator ( FE/DE). That was accomplished through a series of experiments at different flow velocity, with the same smoldering cottons put directly at the entrance of the FE/DE and in box, respectively. The experiment results indicate that the sensitivity of the two kinds of smoke detectors decreases sharply while the flow velocity around them increases, with the smoldering cottons in the box. However, for the smoldering cottons at the entrance of FE/DE, the sensitivity of the ionic smoke detector does not fall down as sharply as the photoelectric detector. In this case, ionic detectors show better sensitivity than the photoelectric ones. Accordingly, the ionization smoke detector is more suitable for those locations with high flow velocity.

Several Theoretical Problems in Faster-than-Light Research

Huang Zhixun,Geng Tianming

Strategic Study of CAE 2007, Volume 9, Issue 4,   Pages 6-17

Abstract:

In the early stage of the universe, during the hadronic era, the light velocity was larger than c,  in fact was v=75c. This implies that light velocity has been decreasing in time slowly, from v down to the present value c. On the other hand, based on the measurements of 128 quasar absorption lines, the average increase in fine-structure constantαwas6×10-6 over the past 6~12Ga. Scientists think it was aroused by the light-speed variation. It would be interesting to investigate if these facts have influenced the past history of the universe. This paper also discusses some problems of faster-than-light research profoundly, such as the velocity definition of the microscopic particles, the velocity of gravitation, the interaction speed of the quantum-entangle-state(QES), and the over distance action.

An Area Changeable Capacitive Micro-machined Accelerometer

Li Baoqing,Lu Deren,Wang Weiyuan

Strategic Study of CAE 2000, Volume 2, Issue 2,   Pages 36-40

Abstract:

In this paper, a newly developed accelerometer based on the principle of area changeable capacitance is presented at the first time. The movable mass is designed as many bars connected together and suspended by elastic beams. Two comb-shaped fixed electrodes with their fingers side by side are alternately placed under the mass. The mass moves in the direction parallel with the substrate plane under the effect of acceleration. The movable mass and fixed electrodes compose a differential capacitor unit. It is concluded by theoretical analysis that the signal of the acceleration is only proportionally related to the area between movable mass and fixed electrodes but not related to the gap between them. The parasitic capacitance Cp between the mass and fixed electrodes and CB induced by boundary effect both lower the sensitivity of the accelerometer by about 20 % , and lead to a vertical effect on accelerometer that could be ignored if compared with the sensitivity. The quasi-LIGA technology with Ni as structure layer and Cu as sacrificial layer is used to fabricate the sensor chips. The fixed electrodes are fabricated on a glass substrate. A Cu sacrificial layer used to determine the gap between the mass and fixed electrodes is then electroplated with the fixed electrodes layer. Finally, the movable Ni mass is also electroplated with the Cu layer and is released after selective etch of the Cu layer. After packaging in IC ceramic die under atmosphere, the accelerometer is put on avibrator to be tested under a frequency of 25 Hz. The output signal is connected to the interface circuit with electric wires. The experimental results show that the accelerometer has typical sensitivity of 58.1 mV/ (m·s-2) and non-linearity of 4% FS in operating range of 20 m/s2. The obtained non-linearity is not ideal and the reason is discussed based on experimental conditions

Abstract:

The article divides the whole section into two sections. One is arcuate section. The other is seepage section. Water velocity distribution in circular section of pipe has been studied for a long time, and advanced theories were achieved. Based on fore theory and some tentatives, theory about distribution of water velocity in pipe of arcuate section is researched. Research of seepage section is based on seeping theory. Many experiments proved that the theory and program of this article are correct.

Forty Years of the Faster-than-Light Research—Review and Prospects

Huang Zhixun

Strategic Study of CAE 2004, Volume 6, Issue 10,   Pages 6-23

Abstract:

Work on faster-than-light (superluminal) research has been going on in USA, Europe and PRC since the early work of O. M. Bilanuik and E. C. Sudarshan in 1962 and that of a good working with G. Feinberg at Columbia University in 1967.

According to the original article of A. Einstein in 1905, velocities greater than that of light have no possibility of existence. However, an interesting phenomenon related to the Einstein's article in 1907 have been found, in which the possibility of sending signals in superluminal communication was not completely negated. In this paper, the author tries to bring about split-up to the different subjects of velocity's study, and then, suggests the definition of General Information Velocity (GIV) to make better discussion of those velocity concepts. After rethinking superluminal research in 1962—2003,the author obtains the conclusion that the “faster than the speed of light in vacuum” is a realizable scientific statement.

Velocity Field Analysis under the Condition of Continuous Viscosity Variation

Qu Qingwen,Wang Mei,Chen Haizhen,Chai Shan,Yao Fusheng

Strategic Study of CAE 2002, Volume 4, Issue 6,   Pages 29-32

Abstract:

The lubrication effect is directly affected by flowing characteristic of fluid. The viscosity distribution of lubricant is the key point to the bearing. The viscosity variation will directly influence flowing velocity of the lubricants. Apart from temperature rise, the speed change will result in rare faction of the cut in the fluid. In case thin film lubrication, the thickness of fluid film is tiny, relative moving velocity of interparticles is larger in the lubricant, therefore, the variation of lubricant properties will be more prominent. The velocity characteristics of lubricant in micro-clearance are researched with the continuous correcting model of viscosity. The distribution laws of velocity are obtained in the micro-clearance. The data are provided for the study of temperature field and rare faction of the cut under the thin film lubrication.

Abstract: has significant potential for remote human identification, but it is easily influenced by identity-unrelated factors such as clothing, carrying conditions, and view angles. Many have been presented that can effectively represent gait features. Each gait template has its advantages and can represent different prominent information. In this paper, gait template fusion is proposed to improve the classical representative gait template (such as a ) which represents incomplete information that is sensitive to changes in contour. We also present a partition method to reflect the different gait habits of different body parts of each pedestrian. The fused template is cropped into three parts (head, trunk, and leg regions) depending on the human body, and the three parts are then sent into the convolutional neural network to learn merged features. We present an extensive empirical evaluation of the CASIA-B dataset and compare the proposed method with existing ones. The results show good accuracy and robustness of the proposed method for .
