Naveed Ahmed Azam, Umar Hayat, Ikram Ullah,azam@amp.i.kyoto-u.ac.jp,umar.hayat@qau.edu.pk

Frontiers of Information Technology & Electronic Engineering 2019, Volume 20, Issue 10,   Pages 1378-1389 doi: 10.1631/FITEE.1800434

Abstract: We study the balance problem caused by forward leaning of the wearer’s upper body during rehabilitation training with a lower limb rehabilitation exoskeleton. The instantaneous capture point is obtained by modeling the human-exoskeleton system and using the capture point theory. By comparing the stability region with instantaneous capture points of different gait phases, the balancing characteristics of different gait phases and changes to the equilibrium state in the gait process are analyzed. Based on a model of the human-exoskeleton system and the condition of balance of different phases, a trajectory correction strategy is proposed for the instability of the human-exoskeleton system caused by forward leaning of the wearer’s upper body. Finally, the reliability of the trajectory correction strategy is verified by carrying out experiments on the Zhejiang University Lower Extremity Exoskeleton. The proposed trajectory correction strategy can respond to forward leaning of the upper body in a timely manner. Additionally, in the process of the center of gravity transferred from a double-support phase to a single-support phase, the ratio of gait cycle to zero moment point transfer is reduced correspondingly, and the gait stability is improved.

Side-channel attacks and learning-vector quantization Article

Ehsan SAEEDI, Yinan KONG, Md. Selim HOSSAIN

Frontiers of Information Technology & Electronic Engineering 2017, Volume 18, Issue 4,   Pages 511-518 doi: 10.1631/FITEE.1500460

Abstract: The security of cryptographic systems is a major concern for cryptosystem designers, even though cryptography algorithms have been improved. Side-channel attacks, by taking advantage of physical vulnerabilities of cryptosystems, aim to gain secret information. Several approaches have been proposed to analyze side-channel information, among which machine learning is known as a promising method. Machine learning in terms of neural networks learns the signature (power consumption and electromagnetic emission) of an instruction, and then recognizes it automatically. In this paper, a novel experimental investigation was conducted on field-programmable gate array (FPGA) implementation of elliptic curve cryptography (ECC), to explore the efficiency of side-channel information characterization based on a learning vector quantization (LVQ) neural network. The main characteristics of LVQ as a multi-class classifier are that it has the ability to learn complex non-linear input-output relationships, use sequential training procedures, and adapt to the data. Experimental results show the performance of multi-class classification based on LVQ as a powerful and promising approach of side-channel data characterization.

Frontiers of Information Technology & Electronic Engineering 2022, Volume 23, Issue 9,   Pages 1354-1368 doi: 10.1631/FITEE.2100518

Abstract: Smart meters in the generate a large amount of power data. However, data privacy in the process of calculation, storage, and transmission is an urgent problem to be solved. Therefore, in this paper we propose a power resource dispatching framework (PRDF) with a privacy protection function, which uses a scheme based on . Using pseudonyms and aggregating users’ power data, PRDF not only protects users’ privacy, but also reduces the computing cost and communication overhead under traditional cloud computing. In addition, if the control center finds that a user has submitted abnormal data, it can send a request to the user management center to track the real identity of the user. Our scheme satisfies security requirements based on the , including confidentiality and unforgeability. Furthermore, we compare our scheme with other schemes by simulations. Simulation results show that compared with traditional methods, our method performs better in terms of the computation cost.

Strategic Study of CAE 2009, Volume 11, Issue 12,   Pages 41-46

Abstract:

When tunnel is constructed in karst cave zone, all kinds of filled caverns will be inevitably meet. The construction method and tunnel structure's stability becomes the key problem for the design and construction. The range of DK255+925~+976, filled with crushed rock and silt, forⅠline of Maluqing tunnel on Yichang-Wanzhou Railway is taken as an example. The mechanical responses of excavation and support are studied by using the three-dimensional fast Lagrangian analysis of continua method. The numerical simulation reveals the distribution characteristics of displacement for surrounding rock and displacement and interial stress for the shotcrete and the maximum axis force for locking anchor pipe under the condition of dynamic step excavation and support. The obtained conclusions offer a guideline for the design and construction of tunnels in similar underground projects.

Strategic Study of CAE 2021, Volume 23, Issue 4,   Pages 37-44 doi: 10.15302/J-SSCAE-2021.04.005

Abstract:

Technology and equipment for cold-chain storage and transportation is critical for maintaining the quality and improving the circulation efficiency of fresh agricultural products and strategically important for ensuring food safety and increasing agricultural income. In this article, we analyze the demand for cold-chain storage and transportation technology and equipment in China, summarize the current status, and present the gaps between China and developed countries in this regard. Moreover, we clarify the key technologies, key tasks, and major projects for the development of cold-chain storage and transportation technology and equipment for fresh agricultural products using the Delphi method and field research. The major problems faced by technology and equipment include lack of specialized pre-cooling facilities in places of production, lack of refrigerated transportation equipment, backward quick-freezing technology and equipment, lagging research and development of key technologies, non-standardized construction of refrigeration and cold-storage facilities, and insufficient cold-chain infrastructure. Furthermore, we propose a three-step technical route for the development of the technology and equipment: achieving high efficiency and standardization by 2025, informatization and intelligence by 2035, and intelligence and autonomation by 2050.

Abstract: While considering a mirror and light rays coming either from a point source or from infinity, the may have an envelope, called a caustic curve. In this paper, we study s as mirrors. These caustic surfaces, described in a closed form, are also s of the same type as the original mirror surface. We provide efficient, algorithmic computation to find the caustic surface of each of the three types of s (cone, cylinder, and tangent surface of a spatial curve). We also provide a potential application of the results in contemporary free-form architecture design.

Liu Hongmin,Yao Shuangji,Yang Lipo,Pang Zhifeng,Li Shuanglai,Liu Wubin,Yan Shengyou,Chu Jiandong

Strategic Study of CAE 2006, Volume 8, Issue 11,   Pages 80-85

Abstract:

For the working problems of laying head of high speed wire rod, choosing cubic spline function to fit the actual measurement data, the velocity and force model is used to analyze the state of the wire rod and research the curve´s effect on the laying head. On the basis of the consequence of calculation and the measured data, the bad working state is due to the sharply changed value of curvature of the pipe and the speed fast changing at the outlet of the pipe. By making some improvement on the space curve and bending processing of the pipe, the working state of laying head such as tail throwing is improved remarkably and the service life of single pipe doubles. The reform consequence approved that the theory model is correct and the renovation methods are reasonable.

Strategic Study of CAE 2008, Volume 10, Issue 7,   Pages 125-131

Abstract:

A fast face detection algorithm using enhanced AdaBoost based on Walsh features is proposed in this paper, and its training process is fast and works well under fewer non-face training samples.Firstly, the utility of Walsh features, instead of Harr-Like features can reduce the redundancy among features largely. Then, an enhanced double threshold AdaBoost algorithm is developed, where double threshold makes training process faster ; and in the process of training cascaded detector, the next classifier can be guided by the former classifier, which enhances the performance of the cascaded detector ;moreover, the adjustment to the threshold of each classifier can separate the training result of face and on-face as far as possible. Finally, the trained detector is tested on MIT + CMU test set, and experimental results show that its training speed, precision and detection time exceeds the corresponding method.
