Frontiers of Information Technology & Electronic Engineering 2017, Volume 18, Issue 2,   Pages 206-219 doi: 10.1631/FITEE.1601280

Real-time Gaze Tracking System Based on Dual Illuminators

Huang Ying,Wang Zhiliang,Qi Ying

Strategic Study of CAE 2008, Volume 10, Issue 2,   Pages 86-90

Abstract:

This paper presents a fast, low cost and non-contact gaze tracking system. The system is based on dual illuminators and a CCD camera. The camera captured the i mage of two eyes, and the synthesized information of both eyes was used to detec t the gaze direction. A fast pupil detection algorithm was proposed to speed up the image processing, and a simple model was used to recognize the gaze direction. Experimental results show that the system is applicable from -20° t o +20° angle of gaze in horizon and -16° to +16° angle of gaze in vertical. A human- computer interaction application proves that the system can estimate the user's gaze direction with tiny delay and relative high stability.

Improving the reconstruction efficiency of sparsity adaptive matching pursuit based on the Wilkinsonmatrix None

Rasha SHOITAN, Zaki NOSSAIR, I. I. IBRAHIM, Ahmed TOBAL

Frontiers of Information Technology & Electronic Engineering 2018, Volume 19, Issue 4,   Pages 503-512 doi: 10.1631/FITEE.1601588

Abstract: Sparsity adaptive matching pursuit (SAMP) is a greedy reconstruction algorithm for compressive sensing signals. SAMP reconstructs signals without prior information of sparsity and presents better reconstruction performance for noisy signals compared to other greedy algorithms. However, SAMP still suffers from relatively poor reconstruction quality especially at high compression ratios. In the proposed research, the Wilkinson matrix is used as a sensing matrix to improve the reconstruction quality and to increase the compression ratio of the SAMP technique. Furthermore, the idea of block compressive sensing (BCS) is combined with the SAMP technique to improve the performance of the SAMP technique. Numerous simulations have been conducted to evaluate the proposed BCS-SAMP technique and to compare its results with those of several compressed sensing techniques. Simulation results show that the proposed BCS-SAMP technique improves the reconstruction quality by up to six decibels (dB) relative to the conventional SAMP technique. In addition, the reconstruction quality of the proposed BCS-SAMP is highly comparable to that of iterative techniques. Moreover, the computation time of the proposed BCS-SAMP is less than that of the iterative techniques, especially at lower measurement fractions.

Generalized method of urban air pollutant source tracking and integration approach of nudging source assimilation

Xu Xiangde,Ding Guoan

Strategic Study of CAE 2012, Volume 14, Issue 10,   Pages 10-22

Abstract:

An ensemble platform on generalized source tracking of urban air pollutants and an emission source assimilation with application of satellite remote sensing has been proposed. The ensemble platform of generalized urban air pollutant source tracking is built on principal factor analysis of aerosol emissions, aerosol variation spectrum analysis, feature analysis on aerosol changes with phase within urban canopy layer, wind vectors correlating with remote pollutant transport, back forward trajectories and boundary layers affecting the foot mark methods. Also, in order to reduce the emission source uncertainties, which is a key difficulty in air quality modeling, the Newton approximation nudging technology has been applied in the air pollutant modeling based on the seasonal or monthly SO2 and NO2 emissions, and the remote sensing data of air pollutants have been applied on the data assimilation in air pollutant modeling. The integration approach with remote sensing and ground based observations could be used in the research on urban air pollutant tracking, urban haze and heat island. The comprehensive analysis of land water air cycles is attempted as an exploratory study on water pollutant source tracking.

Abstract: is an important and costly task that creates trace links from requirements to different software artifacts. These trace links can help engineers reduce the time and complexity of software maintenance. The (IR) technique has been widely used in . It uses the textual similarity between software artifacts to create links. However, if two artifacts do not share or share only a small number of words, the performance of the IR can be very poor. Some methods have been developed to enhance the IR by considering relations between , but they have been limited to code rather than to other types of . To overcome this limitation, we propose an automatic method that combines the IR method with the between . Specifically, we leverage between rather than just text matching from requirements to . Moreover, the method is not limited to the type of when considering the relations between . We conduct experiments on five public datasets and take account of trace links between requirements and different types of software artifacts. Results show that under the same recall, the precisions on the five datasets improve by 40%, 8%, 20%, 4%, and 6%, respectively, compared with the baseline method. The precision on the five datasets improves by an average of 15.6%, showing that our method outperforms the baseline method when working under the same conditions.

Abstract: (TLR) is an important and costly software task that requires humans establish relationships between source and target artifact sets within the same project. Previous research has proposed to establish traceability links by machine learning approaches. However, current machine learning approaches cannot be well applied to projects without traceability information (links), because training an effective predictive model requires humans label too many traceability links. To save , we propose a new TLR approach based on (AL), which is called the AL-based approach. We evaluate the AL-based approach on seven commonly used traceability datasets and compare it with an information retrieval based approach and a state-of-the-art machine learning approach. The results indicate that the AL-based approach outperforms the other two approaches in terms of F-score.

Frontiers of Information Technology & Electronic Engineering 2022, Volume 23, Issue 11,   Pages 1658-1672 doi: 10.1631/FITEE.2200026

Abstract:

This paper describes a route planner that enables an to selectively complete part of the predetermined tasks in the operating ocean area when the local path cost is stochastic. The problem is formulated as a variant of the . Based on the (GA), we propose the greedy strategy based GA (GGA) which includes a novel rebirth operator that maps infeasible individuals into the feasible solution space during evolution to improve the efficiency of the optimization, and use a differential evolution planner for providing the deterministic local path cost. The uncertainty of the local path cost comes from unpredictable obstacles, measurement error, and trajectory tracking error. To improve the robustness of the planner in an uncertain environment, a sampling strategy for path evaluation is designed, and the cost of a certain route is obtained by multiple sampling from the probability density functions of local paths. Monte Carlo simulations are used to verify the superiority and effectiveness of the planner. The promising simulation results show that the proposed GGA outperforms its counterparts by 4.7%–24.6% in terms of total profit, and the sampling-based GGA route planner (S-GGARP) improves the average profit by 5.5% compared to the GGA route planner (GGARP).

Strategic Study of CAE 2019, Volume 21, Issue 5,   Pages 151-158 doi: 10.15302/J-SSCAE-2019.05.004

Abstract:

The “two mountain” theory (i.e., lucid waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets) is the core concept for ecological civilization construction in China, and it will guide the development of ecological civilization throughout the country for a long time. This paper aims to provide paths and models for ecological civilization construction and rural revitalization, thus to enrich the “two mountains” theory. The economic growth theory and the externality theory are applied to analyze the core logic for realizing the value of ecological products and the internal logic of green growth, and the basic routes for “two mountains” practices are proposed. The core logic for realizing the value of ecological products is to guide and standardize the ecologization of economic subjects in the micro level, and the main paths include collecting ecological tax and dues, building up eco-market, taking ecological compensation, and establishing a green financial market. The internal logic of regional green growth is a positive cycle of transformation, coordination, and feedback between the ecology and “space–industry–main body”, and the main paths include space planning, ecological construction, ecological beautification, ecological industry, ecologization of traditional industry, high-end industry, ecological culture, ecological system, and ecological technology. This study is hoped to provide a reference for the top-level framework and development models for national ecological civilization construction and rural revitalization.

Abstract:

The values of agricultural resources include the economic value from agricultural production and their ecological service value. This paper aims to assess the values of agricultural resources in Fujian Province by using relevant theoretical research models, clarify the process and path of realizing these values, and propose policy recommendations for further improvement. The research results show that the economic value of agriculture in Fujian Province in 2015 was 355.36 billion yuan, while the ecological service value was 1193.95 billion yuan. Within the ecological service value, values for rest service, temperature regulation, gas regulation, soil conservation, water conservation, and biodiversity service were 316.13, 111.92, 74.80, 132.11, 217.81, and 341.18 billion yuan, respectively. The paths for realizing these values in Fujian Province mainly include construction of agricultural product brands; integration of agricultural production, agricultural product processing, and agricultural market service; agro-ecological compensation; and green financial support. To further increase the values of agricultural resources in Fujian Province, financial support should be increased, pollution-free agricultural products and agricultural products with geographical indications should be promoted, agricultural industry integration should be advanced, the agricultural ecological compensation system should be improved, and ecological awareness education and publicity should be boosted.
