The innovation and application of mobile communication technologies is related to economic and social development and national security, and it is an important embodiment of a country's scientific and technological competitiveness. The sixth-generation mobile communication (6G) technology is crucial for the development of the digital economy and has strategic values in driving the development of emerging industries, building a new development pattern, and leading the development of new-quality productivity. The Chinese Academy of Engineering launched the consulting project "Strategic Research on Driving Digital and Economic Dual Circular Development via 6G", focusing on realizing self-reliance and self-improvement of the mobile communication technologies of China. The development trend of the global 6G industry, international standards construction, basic research, and core technology innovation trends were analyzed in depths, as well as the intelligent computing network, computing power service system, spiking neural network, quantum network, and other basic technology capacities. Relevant policy suggestions were proposed, including integrating multi-level infrastructures of all regions and scenario, grasping the pace of technology development and industrialization, promoting the new national system to overcome technological difficulties, and maximizing the advantages of the consumer market.
As the Internet deeply penetrates into the economy, society, production, and living, cyberspace security has become vital for national sovereignty and security, economic development, social stability, and cultural inheritance. A more scientific and comprehensive review of the cyberspace security architecture and more efficient and scalable responses to differentiated cyber security risks in various fields have become important topics. Although China has a broad market for network applications and strong application strength, there remain problems such as insufficient systematization, lack of foresight, relatively weak industries, restricted supply chain, and scattered defense forces. The Chinese Academy of Engineering launched the consulting project "Cyberspace Security Technology System and Risk Response". Guided by an overall national security concept, the project studied the risks and challenges faced by cyberspace security in China during the 14th Five-Year Plan period and beyond and conducted in-depth research on the construction of technical systems, basic theoretical innovation, systematization of security models, common capabilities, and applications in key industries. Targeted countermeasures and suggestions were further proposed.
